    If you are coming from mechanicals, I doubt your bow is well tuned. Paper tuning isn't enough. You probably have a slight tail left if you would shoot further from the paper. Paper tuning is a beginning to make sure you aren't wayyyyy off. You need to ever so slightly "chase the broadhead", in this case moving your rest 1/64" to the right (since BH point of impact is right of the point of aim) and then re-shooting. Repeat if necessary, but make sure you are getting consistent results. Eventually, you will be stacking BH and FP together at 50 yards. If you find your rest ends up way out of center shot variance for manufacturer's directions, you need to shim cams and start over from center shot. If you have yokes, then follow those procedures instead of the rest moving.

      Ahhh okay thanks for these notes. I’ll implement and see how it performs.

    I agree that his bow isn't tuned but that's not the point. He was told that these heads will fly like field points and they didn't.

      Fly like a field point don't work unless you have a tuned bow. You have to make sure you have a correct spine arrow, and a perfectly tuned bow when you stick a wing on the front of an arrow. Mechanical broadhead companies used that phrase because mechanical heads don't have the lift, and drag of a fixed blade head. When they say it flies like a field point I think they assume you are going to shoot a tuned bow. Tooth of the arrow will fly right with field points, as long as the arrow, and bow are tuned.

    Tuning issue. I would suggest bareshaft and group tuning. The left and right maybe able to get out with the rest. Couldn't see the bow but may need to shim or adjust yokes. The up down is easy. As long as cams are timed. Then adjust rest or d loop.

    See how the further you go back the more it shoots off to the right? Well it's bc you have a tuning issue. I suggest paper tuning, bare shaft tuning blah blah blah but what to me it looks like your rest needs to move to the left in very small increments until you achieve consistent center of line shots, good luck man!!!

      Thanks brotha. These are good points. I definitely need to properly paper tune my bow. I’ve never done it, which is an even better reason why it’s time haha.

      @@UntilJourneysEnd heck yeah man it's good to see people out there willing to take information in and use it without taking people's comments as just simply criticism. With that mindset and way of life you you will do just fine brother. Just keep in mind that paper tuning is just the first method of many to really fine tune a bow. It goes pretty deep haha I guess it's just all depends on how serious you take it ya know. But I wish you the best of luck man and keep SLANGIN THEM STICKS

    My bow is tuned arrows are bare shaft tuned. I shoot Tooth of the Arrow broad heads and they hit with my field tips. His bow is not tuned and arrows are probably not tuned.

      My bow is not papertuned, you're correct. I was simply going off what they said on their website at the time. A true tune up on my bow is coming up soon!

    Your bow is not tuned, it’s nothing to do with the broadhead. Any true spinning broadhead will hit the same place as a field point if your bow is properly tuned.
    People that don’t know how to tune bows don’t understand this.

      It’s possible. But I paper tuned before using these broadheads and I was looking great. Either way, I still feel I have much to learn about tuning so I’m not fully ruling that out.

      no thats bullshit not ANY true spinning broadhead will hit SPOI as field points. a perfectly tuned bow is the start but dosent mean thats all you have to do is have a perfectly tuned bow. much more than that, thats ignorant keep talking you proven me right so far!!!

    • @andrewgillespie9064
      @andrewgillespie9064 ปีที่แล้ว

      What? You must not know how to tune a bow. I can shoot ANY true spinning broadhead with the spoi a field point. True story. Bareshaft tuning trumps all. Paper is just a starting point

    • @andrewgillespie9064
      @andrewgillespie9064 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paper is just a starting point. I skip it completely.
      Bareshaft tuning trumps all. Get Bareshaft and fletched hitting together at the same spot and same angle and you can shoot any true spinning broadhead in the same spot as field points.
      Or you could listen to the moron below!!

      @Until Journey's End Did you bare shaft tune? It looks to me that the arrow is slightly out of tune ,and you likely don't have enough fletching to correct the effect that the slightly off tune and broadhead surface area are putting on the arrow. You could also build an arrow with a little more FOC( even if the total build is the same weight). It would give the fletching more leverage to correct the lift the broadhead is causing.
