You mentioned on your live chat that when Golf Sidekick posted/shared one of your videos, it really helped grow your channel, which was relatively new at the time. However, I may be the only one that found your channel first, which led me to Golf Sidekick's channel. But either way, I enjoy both of your channels immensely.
Hi Adam! I first watched your channel in early 2021, when you uploaded "Playing 18 in the mountains". Since then, I have been a huge fan of your game and your attitude around the course. Your putting tips and golf advice have helped me to start breaking 90. Each and every video of yours makes my day. When I started watching golf channels, I started with only yours and Golf Sidekick's. I was truly overjoyed when you two met at Arizona and played together. Your game has become even better ever since you moved from Canada, and your golf content is great! Keep playing and posting new videos for us to enjoy!
Wow, thanks for sticking around since the very beginning! Appreciate the kind words, too! I actually don't live down in the US, I just spend a lot of time in California during the Canadian Winter.
You too, man! Here's the question, did you truly recognize *me* in that hitting bay, or just that super flat swing, lol! Hope all is well down there. I'm back in Canada now.
Nice round :), love watching your videos as you focus on course management and how to bounce back after having 3 or 4 'bad' holes and don't get into any of the technical stuff with the swing. The 15th hole par 3 looks awesome
Glad that I found your channel! I'm at about the same place hovering around 80 usually and sometimes dipping into the 70's or up to the mid 80's. I'm confident with getting tee shots in play, and averaging 1.5-1.7 putts per hole.... Today I finally went and got fitted for some flatter lie Irons (i'm short) and I'm hoping with a bit more practice I'll be flirting with par golf soon.
I’ve played with lots of people with great looking swings that could never beat you. I’d take your swing any day. When we leave the green my friend always says, short game, short game, short game!
Congrats!!! It's always heartwarming to hear that people can watch these vids and actually apply a few tidbits to lower scores. Makes me feel like the whole effort is worthwhile!
Thanks, bud! Just committed to a 4-day Bandon Trip in late-March. I also have a TH-camr meeting coming up in Banff/Jasper. That aside, I'm hoping to finally get out to the East Coast in '24, but nothing on the books, yet!
Boy….I don’t play much golf annually but my game is so much like yours, I’m not a pretty swinger of the clubs, but like you, I’m good at thinking my way around the course. I’m not any more talented than the buddies I play with but they chase poor shots with even poorer decisions. Which is why I’m an 8 and they’re around 12-15. Good round Adam!!
I would love to hear more about how to keep your ball in play. Almost all of your misses are findable and playable whereas my miss can easily go OB and lose tons of strokes that way.
A couple of months ago, I was watching you playing with Matty "Boom Boom" and I said to myself "that guy looks familiar". Weeks later, I discovered you're from Vancouver!! Would love to take you out for a round and pick your brain on starting a channel and the positive effect it's had on your life. Please let me know if that's a possibility!
When I hear someone gripe about their swing or someone else’s swing. I’ll recommend they watch the Senior/champions tour. You will see some of the most homemade swings in golf. Especially the old guys. Chi chi Rodriguez, Lee Trevino, Mo Norman. Not the prettiest swings but some of the best ball strikers ever. Consistency and ball striking.
Enjoy! I haven't done enough surveying to determine which course is the more popular one. I think some of the finishing holes on the North tip the scales for me slightly towards that course, but the South is a good track, too.
I typically tee it up from whatever box's rating looks best to me (typically a rating within 1 stroke of par in either direction and a slope of no more than the high-130s). In this round, we teed it up second from the back box at 6,500 yards with a 71.5 rating and 131 slope.
95% of golfers are plagued by chunking the ball. Everything we do is a compensation to not chunk it on the course. We cant even chip without chunking. We dont know how to use the tool. We can all learn in 1 day to hit a nail on the head with a hammer and by the end of the day we can naturally add tremendous power. “Straight jacket golf” instructors twist us up like a pretzel and think we’ll be able to swing freely and powerfully. How do we use the tool and how do we get the club sweeping at the correct height at impact? Teach us that and we can take care of the rest. Do you have any videos you can point me to that will help with this plague
Adam, We all love the self deprecation, but I really think you can put the “my swing is ugly” narrative to rest. Your swing honestly does not look that bad lol. Do you look like Fred Couples? No, but there’s a lot to like about your swing. You’re breaking 80 on a regular basis… I the peanut gallery should be emulating your swing, not the other way around. 👍
haha appreciate the kind words. I guess I still get *so* much swing hate that I continue to lean into this angle. So I'm almost heading off the comments by addressing it upfront. Indeed, even I get a little tired of giving the disclaimer that "mY sWiNg Is UgLy"
There’s no way I could convince myself to go wedge wedge on the 18th and that’s probably why I can’t break 80 Along with being a terrible putter and ball striker of course

i def found adam first and golf sidekick second, years later.
Wow, I don't hear this often! I should give thanks to the algorithm!
The two titans of course management
I found @golfparfection first because I live in California then through him Adam then through him Golfsidekick

It was a pleasure meeting you at the PGA Superstore the other day Adam. Can't wait for the fan interaction day coming up. Cheers!

@@NotAScratchGolfer I’m gonna plead the fifth 😂
Breaking 80 is so 2023, lets see some break 70 videos!
Tall order!
Happy 2024! Great video!
Thanks, and Happy belated New Year!
Nice round :), love watching your videos as you focus on course management and how to bounce back after having 3 or 4 'bad' holes and don't get into any of the technical stuff with the swing. The 15th hole par 3 looks awesome
Thanks! And indeed, holes 14, 15, and 18 are great finishing holes.
I love your swing. Keep swinging it!
wow, i remember when i was a subscriber when you had around 5k subscribers, now you have 55k! Congrats to your channel's growth
Thank you! I've been trying to focus on always making the next vid 1% better and it's great to see the channel growth!
nice round adam! that was a great exhibition of discipline!!
Thanks as always!
I’m so jelly with the weather you have. I’m in cold and rainy PNW, so that means Top Tracer golf.
I'm back in the PNW, too. Feel your pain, broda.
That splash at 10:20 was so clean.
Thanks! I always like to assess "what was my best/worst shot of the round" while editing. I think that was probably my best of the round.
Scoring happens with ball striking off the tee and on approach shots
The shortgame is insurance
Its best when both are working
Fair!

Been too long since your last vid, man. You're my favorite TH-cam golfer.
Wow, thank you! I still warship at the altar of the Playa in Chief, myself.
I’ve played with lots of people with great looking swings that could never beat you. I’d take your swing any day. When we leave the green my friend always says, short game, short game, short game!
Love it. And shame on Matt for claiming the YT name "Mr. Short Game" before I could! :p
Great round, your around the green play is the real deal
Thank you!
Thank you for showing the location and name of the golf course in the intro part!! really cool.
Glad you enjoyed it! I really like the way @Golf Parfection does it, so I'll be doing it more often now!
Break 80 is my goal this year. Had a 83 and 84 last year, so it’s doable. Smart play and putting are my keys to success.
Keep us updated if/when you do it!
Having broken 80 thanks to your videos, the goal this year is break 75.
Broke 75 a few times last summer through his videos. Now in the winter trying to get back to consistent 70’s.
Congrats!!! It's always heartwarming to hear that people can watch these vids and actually apply a few tidbits to lower scores. Makes me feel like the whole effort is worthwhile!
Shows the importance of putting speed. Great video
Great to see you back! Looking forward to more content as the year goes on. Any big trips planned?
Thanks, bud! Just committed to a 4-day Bandon Trip in late-March. I also have a TH-camr meeting coming up in Banff/Jasper. That aside, I'm hoping to finally get out to the East Coast in '24, but nothing on the books, yet!
You're getting good at this Adam, I love your impovement over the last months, congratulations!
Boy….I don’t play much golf annually but my game is so much like yours, I’m not a pretty swinger of the clubs, but like you, I’m good at thinking my way around the course. A man of my ilk!
I need this info. I've shot 82/83 a few times. But I was average off the tee. So I know where I'm going wrong
glad the videos are back!
Thanks!
Awesome 78! When is the Palm Desert meet-up? LFG!
Thank you! The meetup is going to be in May (it'll be HAWT). Details will be finalized in the next month and I'll share them in a video!
I would love to hear more about how to keep your ball in play. Almost all of your misses are findable and playable whereas my miss can easily go OB and lose tons of strokes that way.
I am coming to La Quinta for May and part of June. Let me know when the meet up is. Love to meet you.
Will do, James! Details should be finalized in the next month.
My favourite topic although i’m down to ‘how to shoot par videos’ … just saying
haha I'm not hugely qualified to make those vids!
Good round. Lmk if you want to play point grey this year.

True! Although I admit, I still am mesmerized by Couples' swing. It's the only "textbook" golf swing I wish I could snap my fingers and emulate.
The “oh, god… oh, god” off the ninth tee…
… I felt that.
lol
Fantastic job! That’s how I would have played the last hole. 👍
Thanks!
I'm headed out to stay at Terra Lago in March.... looking forward to playing both of these tracks!
Enjoy! I haven't done enough surveying to determine which course is the more popular one. I think some of the finishing holes on the North tip the scales for me slightly towards that course, but the South is a good track, too.
I hit a few low 80s last year.
I feel i have a under 80 in me
LFG!!!!
Do you play the front tees?
I typically tee it up from whatever box's rating looks best to me (typically a rating within 1 stroke of par in either direction and a slope of no more than the high-130s). In this round, we teed it up second from the back box at 6,500 yards with a 71.5 rating and 131 slope.
I need to try this course. What are your favorite courses in the Coachella valley?
Great question! For public courses, I like Desert Willow (Firecliff), Classic Club, SilverRock, PGA West (Pete Dye Mountain), and Eagle Falls.
feels like a month since your last vid lol great round
I think it indeed had been almost a month. Took a little time for R&R and to get some life admin in order at the beginning of 2024.
how often do you golf per week?
10 minutes ago I was saying how you havent uploaded in a while
Not a Scratch Golfer provideth!
My problems usually start right around his second putt on the first hole
Great golf .
Thank you!
First of the year let’s get it!!
Many more to come!

Adam, you play so many beautiful courses.
Yeah, we're blessed in SoCal with so many. Would love if green fees came back to more digestible rates.
You really are proof the swing doesn’t need to be pretty to go low ✊🏽
4:55 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
;)
why not let him finish his putt @ 2:33? That would have pissed me off.
Don't think he minded.
You are a savage putter
Adam,

Broke 80 2x in 2023, I'd like to make it a habit.
Congrats! I found that once I did it a few times, the floodgates opened up!
The second shot into the 14th with the sun in the background looked fantastic!! Very nice round Adam!!🏌⛳👍😀
There’s no way I could convince myself to go wedge wedge on the 18th and that’s probably why I can’t break 80
Along with being a terrible putter and ball striker of course
Lol, fair enough! That did indeed take more discipline than even I usually exercise. Glad the Golf Gods rewarded it with a 4!
Wow golf on tatooine! Look at that massive sunset!
Don’t even waste your money on swing tweaks lmao just go watch Lee Comeaux or Vertical Balanced Golf and you can have a swing that fits you for free 🔥
