I just broke 85 for the first time Friday. Applied so much of your course management. I only get to play a full 18 about once a month but I have gone from breaking 100 to breaking 85 over the course of 3 rounds. “If you think it’s boring, you don’t like scoring” is absolutely true.
After two years of taking golf seriously, I finally broke 80 for the first time this past Saturday with a 79!! It was thanks to watching you for the past year baus. I was a playa all day, with smart, comfy golf and not thinking about my score ever. It was a lotta confidance alllll day pardner
Good advice every time. I finally did the Google maps analysis of my regular course. I spent several sessions mapping it out on a A4 blown up score card map from the copier. Every key yardage mark for staying out of trouble was plotted. I also snuck in some much-needed time at the ranch here chipping and half iron shots work. I am going to maximize decision making more than I have in the past. I now have an electronic range finder. I have practiced with it as well. I have not shared this with the guys in my foursome. I will NOT be buying any beer when we are finished playing. Thanks for your videos.
Sir please let us know how you progress. Hopefully you enjoy the process and adapt the strategy as you see what works and what doesn;t. THis is the way of the playa and you are a confidential BAUS
@@GolfSidekick I will do it! I have a plan. As needed it will get adjusted. Your video about the water, out of bounds, trees/woods, deep sand off the tee made too much sense to ignore. Success and improvement must have a plan. Work the plan, evaluate, wash rinse, repeat. I retired the driver. It is a problem child. I get decent returns on the 3W, tighter dispersion. Makes too much sense as does the 5W, 7W or an iron from the tee. I play this weekend. We will see.
@@GolfSidekick So far, so good. Three rounds with my group and my highest score was 89, but I had an 85, and a 87. One big adjustment. A par 5 that has trees left and right out to 200 then opens up. Was hitting 7W. Changing to 5W. I hit it plenty straight and it goes further. More putting practice is needed.
Master Teacher, Thank you for your work. I return to Thailand in 3 weeks and have 6 months there. I will be thrilled even if I maintain consistantly my 18 handicap, Bogey Golfer, v Respectable in my opinion. I should an 88 when last there in April on my last round. 2-4-6-8 Who Do We Appreciate? Matty, Boom Boom! I went 2p lifting 4 seats up / down on 6bdays but missed, gr8. 2 putt - 4 up in downs - 6 cry if I want to's - 8 greenie weenies Got it.
Has anyone told you that you look like a young Benny Hill? LOL! Love your channel and it's got me excited to work on my game. I'd like to shoot in the 80's consistently. I'm waffling around the 90-100 mark. I recently shot my best round the other day at an 86, and I can't even tell you what I did different.
Was waiting for this video. I think it’s a better approach than 6-6-6. I’m averaging 78 and your advice is spot on. There are 4-6 par 4’s that are difficult for me to hit in regulation. A bogey on these holes is ok (there are three in the front and my goal is one par), but I’ll aim to avoid a double. There’s a tough par 3 and thinking about it, I play as a 3.5. I tend to look at is par is great, bogey is ok. Thanks for these videos.
@@GolfSidekick the three long par 4’s (unless I hit a perfect drive I can’t reach) are averaging about 4.8 shots). So if I par one of 3 (my goal) it’s 4.7 strokes. The bad part is the pins are set so that to of the three are back pins on same day so even if I get close I have a longer chip. The other hole is a raised green with a carry over a bunker. So even with a good drive I can’t run the ball onto the green and don’t have carry over the bunker.
Thanks for these tips. Your teaching is so clear and pertinent. I'm quoting you when talking strategy with my golf students. Too bad some of your gimmicks are hard to translate in French :)

You have answered your own question. I don’t know anything about your swing and what’s good for your body and you don’t either. That is precisely the reason to stop emulating stuff online that we don’t know whether it applies to us or not. It’s all click bait to get views for as revenue. They are not trying to help you. They know it too. At 31hc, the knowledge of the swing is around 0% so in-person help which takes into account your mobility and ability is key. Look for an instructor older than 40 years of age who comes highly recommended by others you may know. Don’t go to young guys. Your perception of pros and conventional vs special is misplaced. There is no conventional and there is no special that applies to us. A good pro helps you swing YOUR best. Usually older guys specifically 40-60 years old. Who have been around the block.
