    Merciless Mode sounds more your speed. The bigger difficulty balancing issue I've noticed in 4 and 5 is how the game is actually much harder at the start than the late game. P4's first major boss Shadow Yukiko is also its most notorious, and I remember my first death in P5 came when a normal enemy in Kamoshida's Palace used Makougaon to one-shot my entire team from full HP... on Normal. By contrast, later on your Social Links give you tons of extra benefits on top of mere level and equipment gains, making it much less likely that you'll die. Once your team can reliably use Mediarahan every round as needed there's not much that can threaten you. I'd say make the early dungeons easier and the late game dungeons harder.

      One day I may give it a try but sticking to hard mode to work myself up lol. I come from the FF turn based games but I play the shit out of KH2fm critical mode all the time lol

    Sounds like you have just learned so much that you should stick to hard mode
    You can't just say normal shouldn't be "normal" anymore because you're too good for it. I struggled 😭

      Actually the real problem is player get strong too quick. In P3, you are provided with too many tools: healing clock, teleporters, theurgy…, you can grind as much as you can and fuse some broken persona with perfect moveset after 2-3 months. This case is also true with persona 4,(assume that everybody complete dungeon in one day) when the 1st dungeon is struggle, the 2nd dungeon is kind of hard, but from 3rd dungeon go on? Nah i will just oneshot or hasou tobi everything

      Well you struggled but most people wont. Normal should be a balanced difficulty but it feels way too easy (Even Hard).

      @@tsuyoshi.8651 very interesting perspectives here! it’s honestly probably a mix of leveling and having too many tools available.

      Hard is far too easy as well.

    i really hope they bring back second awakenings outside of social links. i feel like persona is running into a problem of characters from early game not having as much stake in the story as later party members do. having scheduled in-story evolutions with characters developing their stories over the whole game will help

    Overall I would p5r had the best social links
    Some social links are better in p4and p3 like
    Yosuke's and akininari 's

    • @TheLastDistress
      @TheLastDistress  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, I’m not saying everything about P5R s links were bad by no means! I really like quite a few of them in P5R I’m mainly hoping for stronger main character story within in those social links and I used the example of P4G being really well executed in that department!

    persona games are baby easy nowadays and i want more difficulty like the memento mori mod or just straight up p4 very hard. also it's hard to enjoy any of the social links for the main cast because it doesn't feel relevant. their awakenings should be going through the events in a story not some stupid side quest

    • @TheLastDistress
      @TheLastDistress  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To some extent I agree with u but the point of getting max s. link is for there second awakening right? So it would be better if it had actual meaningful content in it

    • @CalWhimsical
      @CalWhimsical 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      so you’re saying you play persona but not for the story and arcs?

    • @TheLastDistress
      @TheLastDistress  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CalWhimsical no, I think the main character story arcs/ s links can be good as long as they format it like P4 social links where it actually develops the character more than what P5 did where there was a lot more filler in those social links. I think again the s links are good in p5 but they didn’t need to be all 10 ranks

    p4 had the best social links

    Of course P5R seemed Easier, you already knew the game and how the characters worked, the social Links etc, so you had much less trouble with it, plus making normal "normal" is BS, because it mostly depends on your stats and strategy, you don't need to grind if you play the game at a basic pace and with good strategy

    • @TheLastDistress
      @TheLastDistress  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes but it made super easy with the addition of showtime events and even added s link abilities within royal. All I’m getting at is that there should be something added to make it a slight bit harder and more thinking on how you tackle a situation you’re used to

      @@TheLastDistress I see, well it's true that it's somewhat easier with showtime and s Link events, but still, if you give the game to someone who never played P5, they'd still have difficulties, plus a game is supposed to be fun and played by all, so difficulty isn't really really a factor for me in this (unless the game is so easy I can beat it without looking at the screen) and if you want more difficult stuff you can still impose on yourself some challenges
