Nice upgrade. The issue with the air filter. its breathing hot air from the engine compartment and yes, is breathing much easier but the issue like I said its breathing hot air and second if you get hose or radiator burst/leak the air filter will suck the water into the engine/turbo. It would be best to have an air intake taking from the outside the engine compartment to provide better HP. I have an 2004 myself with 6.0 no issue other than my FICM was going out. I replaced the FICM and now supplying 49 volts to the injectors and improve power.
Just got my 05 black Eddie Bauer excursion just need to start on some minor upgrades already have a XDP coolent filter system and will change out the rear diff to banks maybe front and rear 4x4
Did you add any other upgrades? If so can we get a video update? Looks like you've really covered your reliability upgrades! Might think about a ficm upgrade too. Definitely a really sharp truck btw!!
