Are you sure your controller is not fake? Can you see any "sony" logo on the mainboard of the controller?

Great video, would of liked it if the instructions to find the video would of been in the pack with the buttons.
Also im not sure why but my touch pad isnt pressing in at all or initialling the internal button. I knew i would lose the swiping ability but didnt think the entire button would not work. Any suggestions on a fix?
Thanks for your suggestion. The touchpad will still fully functional after you install it correctly. If it's not pressable, please take apart the controller and then follow this instruction to do the touchpad part again

The little thing you used to take the thing inside the touch pad out is that a guitar pick and if not would a guitar pick work?
@skippy kinda late my guy um it took a while but i used the guitar pick to get it off. So far the new touch pad works great
is this controller real because i have this model in blue but my ps4 says that it is eventually not a supported controller by sony (pls help guys im scared i got scammed)
My god that touch pad was irritating to get off I used the hairdryer and a plastic then metal pick finally I said screw it and just clipped away the original plastic touch pad piece for a better angle and that made it a bit easier

@@zacharyfabiano714 yessir it’s fully functional just make sure you’re only cutting plastic no connectors or wires and nothing structurally important you still need it to stay in place

Yes, but please make sure your controller is original, there are a lot of fake PS4 controller on the market (most of them are end with E)
I have a heater whats the temperature for it to replace touchpad
60 is enough, heat it up gradually
I scratched the TouchPad PBC when trying to get it out and cut a couple traces - totally my fault. But I love the green/purple buttons and everything works great. Now Im just having trouble trying to find a replacement for my touch pad PCB cuz everything for that is classified by generations instead of the JDM code (mine is the crystal Aqua blue controlled controller JDM-050 that was an exclusive at Wal Mart a couple years back). Any help would be appreciated, I think its 4th Gen, but someone said 3rd, but the light shines thru at the top of the touch pad which is only gen 4&5 I was told.
If you don't use the touch pad frequently (just like me), then just leave it there. Your controller model number should be CUH ZCT2*, and we called this model Gen2 (which has touchpad light)
I installed everything just how u showed, but when I go into a game the x button doesn’t work but it works in the main menu.. if u know how I can fix this please let me know.
Please take apart the controller again, reposition the flex of the controller, and then assemble the controller to try again

Hello I love your guys stuff. I purchased via eBay, but one thing that has me sooo lost is the controller i have that I’m trying to replace its faceplates are compatible with just the back plate. The front plate I got from you guys doesn’t fit due to the plastic tube thing being to the right and the hole on the motherboard is to the left. My own controller is a JDM-030. Which front faceplate should I buy in order to have it fit? I don’t get to see any pictures of the inside of the faceplate. I been wanting to build my controller for a while and ima stuck. Please help!
Hello, our shells are compatible with JDM 040 / 050/ 055, but not JDM 030. And unfortunately there are not any JDM 030 replacement shells on the market. Thank you.
ExtremeRate thanks for the reply, I happen to have another one that I got from GameStop a while back and it’s a JDM-055 but has the same issue I’m talking about. I think I’ll just hydrodrip my front plate instead. I’m good with just the back plate. None of the listings on eBay have any descriptive pictures of the back plate.

@@iexecutionzi8400 This one works on JDM 001 011 020, so if you have the JDM 055, you have to use keywords "jdm 040 front shell" (our JDM 040 shell compatible with JDM 050 and 055)
