I’ve always wondered what that stretch of water was like. Looks like the improved portion in the park has lots of nice, rocky bottom structure. Quite the slab-sided rainbow, a good fighter too. Nice work Jared. Thanks for the campout memories!
Nice video, I fished that stream a little upstream. As I recall, the biggest fish was a 14 inch rainbow. It was my second attempt with tenkara, haven’t gone back to western fly fishing.
Great video as always! I know it’s tabu to share spots but I love fishing the driftless and I have been trying to find a more park like spot to fish with my young son. Wanted to see if you would share this park with me.
two questions - hopefully you feel comfortable answering inquiries. No issue if not. Do you ever fish streams such as this, going downstream with the pulsing action I see in many Japanese Tenkara videos? 2. I am fairly good at fighting larger fish with my Tenkara rods, might this rod be useable going for smallmouth up to say 14" in water with similar flow? Thank you.

Jared, nice job so many trout. Particularly good given this water is in a frequently visited park region. Wow!
Great place to introduce a kid to fishing.

So many great sounds: the line singing, water running over rocks, the birds of late spring/early summer...and the tornado siren??

Sure, blame it on the frog. It's funny, but that section always produces.
Looks like a area I could take my grand son. Care to share what city?
