It's a terrible thing to do to trap your partner in an exclusive relationship then go behind their back. If you really lack self control or communication, you shouldn't made your intentions clear on first date that you wanted an open relationship, if being a "free woman" is what you want. Don't understand why you couldn't have communicated that day one, now your partner is caught in a messy situation as well.
Monogamous relationships provide stability and security, they want the best of both worlds, being able to have someone take care of them while they have to not provide any commitment.

I half to partially disagree. The point of having a solid and committed relationship is about strength and willpower. With time dating and relationships have become harder and harder with the availability of connecting with people from around the world. With this, the idea of “fomo” and the dilemma of choice have really spearheaded modern dating. Humans are still very primal biologically, where men are wired to spread seed, and women are wired to reproduce and be the choosers of who they reproduce with. In nature, you will see plenty of instances where the female will find a new mate if the previous is found to be unsuitable. This is no excuse to cheat or have no self control to put your d**k anywhere, it’s a big reason why people need to practice self-control and respect. Committed, successful relationships are not easy. But yes, if you feel the need to linger, it should be discussed to the partner, or the relationship should probably come to a close.
