I am considering travelling with them from Manchester to bkk via Jeddah .. I hear they are pretty good and food too and the luggage allowance especially in business is v generous

AMS-Jeddah on B787: great flight. 3-3-3 seating. 2x23 kg in economy! Enough space. Good food. 6 hrs in Jeddah, paid for the Al Fursen lounge of Saudi. They have sleeping cabinets there. Pretty good food , fresh pizza, personalised bar service. To Manilla on B777: even more space. Still 3-3-3 seating.

Btw, normally this flight is supposed to have the flat bed business class configuration, these are only included on 7 A320’s only.

Is there a reason why Jeddha-Vienna A320 flights do not use flat beds? I saw the Zurich video and their BC looked very different (nicer)...

This is unusual, I have traveled from Europe to Jeddah twice on there A320 and had personal IFE

Indeed very strange. Just watched the report from Zurich, and that one had IFE. Josh his report about Air Austral from La Réunion to Madras on A-220 also lacked IFE, 6 hours flight!!!
