    I love how it’s an overlooked fact that James Brown invented swagger! 🔥🔥🔥🔥, his presence says it all. Look at the fit, the hair, jewelry, Mr. Brown stood on his business didn’t he!

      Listen around 1.34 and 2.58 gets a bit mixed up but he’s still great and it was a relatively new song.
      He also never sang live the same as on record.

    I can tell by his body movement and rhythmic pattern in his singing he was going into that mustache era

      You can hear some lackluster in the groove… kinda supermarket funk. I think there’s some of JB’s band and the Doc Severinson orchestra playing.

      @@jnadle1 Exactly! I was trying to be nice about it. Ed was a great swing drummer but playing funk or a downhome shuffle is a feel, a cultural thing.

      The movie was awful especially costumes. Mr Brown never wore tennis shoes.

      Vince Washington yes and his pants were to baggy for the TAMI show. Also his hairstyles were not right for the year shown, and Maceo wasn’t fat and where was Fred?

      @@vincewashington3694 They had James in them flat church shoes. I noticed that the last time I watched it. A film on his life definitely needs to be redone and not on the caricature tip either but showing the real him and his impact on music. The way Get On Up started in the beginning of the film u can tell how it was gonna be right after. The same way the Miles Davis ‘Miles Ahead’ film was. Not a good film whatsoever! Biopics been droppin’ the ball!!
