    I was convinced. I just ordered the H1 Pro two weeks ago and I must say, dang.... it is such a love. I've been using the Secret Lab Titan chair for about 4 years now, but it's lumbar support was sub par compared to the H1 Pro. My goodness, this is such a wonderful chair. And yes, with the leg rest, I simply cannot get any work done. Thanks for the awesome review!

    Yes, I have an ergonomic chair. I got it in pink fabric - I love the pink - but don't recommend the fabric. It stains too easily. But I love my chair with it's big lumbar back. It has really taken me awhile to get that adjustment just right and the arms do the same as yours but without the flip. I'd love the flip. The best thing for me is a good chair with a high back has actually made my attitude in the office different. I'm the boss (and the minion) and it gives me a bit of a boost in how I feel towards my daily work. My only big wish is that I had better neck support for leaning back. Yours looks to have that nailed really well. Nice review! And now lunch is over and back to work!

    It definitely improve my focus at work. In singapore, its hot, and after lunch, especially office with no shelter, walking under the sun will make me sweat even more. So if you live in a hot area, this is perfect. Everything is perfect, but, just one thing, i love to hang my clothes on the head rest and it will go down after awhile hahaha. But other than that, this is worth 499 ( got 100 dollar off deal ok la, not bad) Most expensive chair ever but its too good. Also, easily adjustable height of arm rest, help me a tall guy, to seriously get comfy. Also, the lower back support is superb. Why i say comfy and worth it is also because, for once, i can sit and just do my work without keep adjusting how i seat. Its either too hot, or posture hurt. So yeah. If you guys plan to get it, i say do it. Also, for tiny home or singapore small work from home area, the chair can be foldable so that, is the biggest kudos to me.

    Great Review. Almost bought one seems perfect. Only reservation I have is with regards to the durability of the Mesh (not under warranty - understandable). On Herman Miller Aeron the mesh goes into a plastic rim as so to protect the edges of the mesh. ON this chair the edges are exposed and probably subject to greater wear. Am I overthinking. Any thoughts/comments any one? In most cases you probably won't touch the edges unless you resort to a bad posture.

Thanks for the referral discount which knocked off a further £30 from the already discounted £479, so although I never thought I'd pay so much for an office chair in my life, considering I spent pretty much all my working day and sometimes evenings as well, I think i need to move on from my Covid purchased £70 basic chair that has lost its seat padding comfort nearly four years on. Thanks

    I think it ultimately boils down to whether you have a budget or not, however there are refurbished Herman Miller/Steelcase chairs available, that can be purchased for the same price as a mid tier chair like the H1 Pro.

    • @77oxf

    • @WolfOfJustice
      @WolfOfJustice ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@77oxf Herman Miller specifically don't have headrests on any of their office chairs, because their philosophy is against it. @@Spike-qh2bb Agreed. I looked into it but found some used ones with no clue how old they are, how much they were abused and often a very limited warranty. Just got one for £419, as there was an additional £130 discount offer, and it looked like a pretty good ergonomic chair at a now very reasonable price. I previously had an almost unadjustable (tilt only, but I had it fixed as it was far too loose) chair that was pretty much falling apart. It has taken me over two years to find a good ergonomic chair at a non-ridiculous price. I'm very happy with it so far. Only difference I see is that the headrest mount has been changed and does not move up/down like that, it's the two joints now. Also, there is no paddle on the tension adjustment, so probably moved to to one of the other paddles I have (unlock recline on left and split paddle up/down & seat forward/back adjust).

      I've only had it for a week, so obviously no sign of sagging. I find it comfortable, and do sit in it for hours at a time. Also, nice to click the tension off a click to lie back with the feet on the leg rest to watch a video. I wasn't sure about the lumbar support but am now convinced about it. It seems so much better than the small cushion I stuffed in with my really unadjustable old chair.

    Hello. Thanks for the video, which has come right at a time when I'm looking for an office chair for home.
    With mesh chairs, the elasticity is important. Some have poor-quality elasticity, so that the shape of the back and seat take on the indentations of the sitter's back and bum over time, while others have good-quality elasticity, so that the mesh doesn't, over time, become indented with the sitter's shape. I appreciate that you aren't an expert and might be unable to answer this question, but do you feel that the mesh of this chair is the good- or bad-quality?
    With the office chairs supplied at my work, and the few I've had at home, their most upright position still has a little give in it, such that, even when locked upright so it can't rock, it still rocks back a little, about as far as an economy-class seat on an aeroplane reclines. It isn't far but, when you're trying to be upright at your desk, it is. When locked in its most upright position, is this chair rigid?
    Given that it's plastic, is it creaky?
    Thanks.

Last week I took delivery of this same chair. Unfortunately I ordered the standard and should have ordered the extended height. As offered by the seller a piston replacement. Unfortunately not in stock and will take over 2 months. The return process is an ordeal. I asked for the piston size for the extend height. Maybe I would source gas-lift from UK. How are the arm rests? As I work 12H night shifts and my office at work are all Herman Miller Aerons. My home office has both NobleChairs Hero and Icon chairs, I definitely want to try an ergonomic chair but most I’ve tried have flimsy arm rests. Herman Millers curves a little and is quite fat, so it’s comfortable for your elbows, long-term. No plastic sounding movements after long-term use either, unlike my NobleChairs which rattle a little on the arm wrests.

      That's considered middle of the road to cheap for an office chair. High-end office chairs such as brands like Herman Miller and Steelcase easily cost over $1,000. Spending that much money on an office chair may seem ridiculous, but if you spend many hours a day sitting at your desk, it is a well-worth investment for your back and health. Especially if you consider the warranty that comes with these chairs (e.g. Herman Miller and Steelcase chairs come with 12-year warranties although their chairs typically outlast their warranties), the per-year cost is actually pretty affordable. I bet most people spend more money per year on their mobile plan than on a good office chair that will take care of your back and health in the long term.

      @@xthene Bruh, the forward seat tilt function on some HM chairs and other ergonomic chairs is not a crucial feature for proper ergonomics. In fact, the only HM chairs that I can remember that have this forward seat tilt are the Aeron, Sayl, and Mirra 2 and it's an OPTIONAL feature in these chairs. A lot of people who buy these chairs opt-out from including this feature on their chairs as it is not useful to everyone. People who like to use this feature are typically engaged in intense workflows like some software engineers and gamers who like to lean closer to their monitors and people who do arts like drawing or knitting who are always bending down towards their desks. It is also useful for old people as the forward seat tilt allows them plant their feet more on the ground to assist them in getting up and out of the chair easier. And ofc it also helps for general tasking/gaming as sitting at a slight forward angle helps your back to naturally support itself in an ergonomic position which doesn't require the need of a lumbar support.
      But this feature is not for everyone. Some people find it pretty uncomfortable to constantly sit at a forward tilting angle. If u watch BTODtv, you'll know that Ryan has brought up multiple times in multiple videos that he and the rest of the people in his office do not find the forward seat tilt function useful at all. So just because the Hinomi H1 Pro doesn't have that feature, it doesn't mean it's a terrible ergonomic chair that is all about looks and not function. This chair is already pretty amazing with its many useful adjustments that even a lot of high-end ergonomic chairs do not have.
      A feature that is crucial to proper ergonomics is built-in lumbar support. Even good ergonomic chairs that do not have an adjustable lumbar support actually do have a lumbar support if their backrest has a nice natural curve to fit the curvature of your back/lumbar (e.g. Eurotech Vera). But not all of the good ergonomic chairs have a forward seat tilt function which explains that a lumbar support is more important than forward seat tilt for proper ergonomics. I've heard plenty of people say that their back pain has been solved because of a good lumbar support in their chair, but never because of the forward seat tilt. I'm not saying that the forward seat tilt will never fix back pain and it is useless in good ergonomics; I'm just saying that it's not as imperative as u make it out to be.
      Furthermore, u don't need forward seat tilt to increase your sitting time. The best method is still to get out of your chair and walk around or stretch for a bit. Even if u have the best ergonomic chair with forward seat tilt, u will still need to get out of the chair to improve your blood flow and prevent your muscles from stiffening up. No ergonomic office chair is designed for u to sit in them 24/7.

    • @xthene
      @xthene ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dylanloo9856 in general i agree with you. If all you do is just sit and browse or surf web, then a forward tilt chair is not necessary ... cos very likely you would just want to lean back and relax.
      apart from those groups of users (gamers/developers/elderly) i would add that students would benefit from forward tilt chairs as well.
      And yes, I would advise parents not to buy gamers chairs and even this Hinomi H1 Pro for their kids.
      These chairs' seats are "curved" and so when students lean forward to do their written assignment, this curvature actually "squeeze" the lower abdomen and putting the pelvic and lower spine in undesirable position. This is worst and more damaging than flat seated chairs. And I am speaking from personal experiences owning a S$400++ gamers chair.

      I agree. In general, a company simply sending a free unit introduces conflict of interest in the review no matter how much freedom they promise to the reviewer. Even if the review hasn't been paid by the company in cash, the "free" review unit is listed under marketing expenses for the company. The reviewer may choose to give a negative review, and the effects can manifest itself as reduced "acts of kindness" in the future. Companies might choose to steer away from this reviewer etc. (Simple logic: companies want positive marketing through influencers to drive sales.)
      Also, having an affiliate link already is a HUGE incentive to give a positive review to drive sales, even much so if the reviewer gets a cut per completed purchase.
      Ultimately, in this case, the reviewers own opinion on this chair doesn't matter - a viewer should analyze this as video as an advertisement or as a feature showcase instead of actual usage review. This is true for every single "review" where the reviewer has not used their own money to make the purchase.

If you were running a TH-cam business and a brand approached you to review and recommend a product on a paid basis (both up-front and commission based, as is the case here), and the product is top quality, perfect for your audience, and manufactured by a brand you warm to immediately, what would you do?
