Exciting fishing for big Brown Trout

My mate Jacob told me this spot was a hidden gem, but I had no idea it was going to be this good. We must have seen about 50 good sized trout in total, along with hundreds and hundreds of fingerlings littering this shallow creek. I landed 4 beautiful brown trout, and lost a monster that was easily over 50cm. Jacob landed 3 or 4 himself, and had the best fish of the day which was in the high 40's.
After filming my outtro and after Jacob left I had a quick flick downstream and hooked an absolute trophy of a trout (60+), which jumped out of the water 3 or 4 times and then spat the lure. (sadly I'd already taken the camera off) After putting the camera back on I hooked a mid 20's model, which will feature in a TH-cam short coming soon.
I'll definitely be heading back to this spot!

I'ma suggest another spot called cockatoo hill resvivor I caght 67cm carp there and my dad caght a couple yellow belly should Mabey give that a try

Gudgeon 5-0 bullets are awesome. I have been running bullet lures now for 4/5 years

Love ya work Rohan, what general district were you fishing today, and what line and rod weights out of curiosity, I haven't had the opertunity to fish fresh water for nearly 17 years. Miss it badly.

Down in the Eildon direction Brad. We were both using 1-3kg setups, I was running 6lb mono on mine. Jacob had some kind of braid with a leader but I'm not sure what.
