  • Streamer Fishing for Big Brown Trout!
    This video contains 2 full days of fly fishing for big brown trout in Colorado! The video filmed back in September during the pre spawn for brown trout. This was easily some of the best fly fishing for brown trout we've had and we caught a lot of big trout.
    I hope you enjoy the video!! Thanks for watching.

    Marvellous fights from huge fish. The solitude of the environment, the sunny day…an unforgettable fishing trip! As always, top quality footage not to be missed at all.

    Many browns in the 20 to 25 inch range in the river I fish here in Utah. The funny thing is hardly anyone fishes it. You can drive for miles and not see anyone fishing,
    simply amazing!!!

    Dude, LET'S GOOOOO BOYZ!! 😵👍 Gorgeous, just FREAKIN GORGEOUS Browns my friends. The GIRTH on those suckers....WHOA! 🤯 Well done, seriously. 👏😁 During the spawn migration, do these fish tend to spook less? It seemed like you guys were able to walk pretty freely on the banks and across the streams with not much affect to em (taking into consideration editing of the vid n'all)? Great vid as always boyz, plz keep em comin. Peace ✌😎

    • @hardmanfishing
      @hardmanfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They spook about the same as they do during other times of the year. What makes it so much better is that the fish start pushing out of the bigger water into the smaller creeks and rivers. They're also purposefully putting on weight in preparation for spawn so they're eating more and are more aggressive than usual.

    Wish I had some trout in my state! Regardless I do fly fish for bass and its always amazing to watch your videos. Is there a certain rod or reel recommended for big trout like this? Or does it stay the usual 5/6 weight?

    • @hardmanfishing
      @hardmanfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We usually go a bit heavier for streamer fishing, especially when targeting really big fish. Like in this video we used a 6 wt and an 8 wt.

    What set up do you all use to chuck those heavy streamers? Rd Wt, line type, leader…

    • @williambrunjes1301
      @williambrunjes1301 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was using a 9’ 8wt with floating line and 10lb leader to catch these fish

    • @hardmanfishing
      @hardmanfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andrew was using a 9 ft 8 wt with floating line as well. The rod I used (beginning of the video) was a 9 ft 6 wt.

    Great video for some giants. Just an observation, not a criticism, why not just release the fish after removing hook, lifting it up for the photo vs. lifting it up for photo, then back in the net, handling it again to get it out of the net, then releasing it? More slime coating removed, more stress on the fish.

  • @lastcoyote2355
    @lastcoyote2355 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice fish … but very very bad habit to grab your rod above the handle . Continually doing this will cause your rod to snap in that general area . But on the up side when it happens you can ask “ What color is my rod ?” And the answer will be “ PINK “ 😂😂

    • @hardmanfishing

      Because he's my brother and we always fish together so why wouldn't he net my fish?? why's that so weird to some people? Go make a friend, fishing doesn't have to be a solo endeavor!
