this video covers some upcoming top 1 extreme demons that people think should be revived, such as the human limit gd which had been picked up by cherry team, orochi by knobbelboy and more, and return 0 by mindcap, which is like a sequel to limbo. while levels like aeternus and tidal wave and grief have gotten the spotlight, these levels have fallen into the background, so what will happen to these extremes in the future? thanks for watching!

host for misanthrope here: this is a very funny time for you to post this lmao as in the past week more has been happening with the level than potentially ever in the past few years lol. the planning for the level has been changing a ton and progress is definitely not going to be the same as it has been in previous years as we actually now know exactly what we want for this level now. Public info hasnt really been given about everything yet (because we still have a LOT of work to do in terms of, well, everything, and only started reworking everything quite literally a week or less ago) but a TON of stuff has been happening recently.

Just one thing, mindcap has confirmed that return 0 is the sequel to limbo, since in limbo you are "escaping the limbo of hell" and in return 0 you are escaping a facility that was built in front of the gates of hell (i think), so its basically the lore of ultrakill but reverse lol
The lore of limbo is you were killed by the machine in return zero and stuck in well limbo but then you die over and over and over until you escape but then it all starts over again in the real world ready to face your fears, return zero is a steelwork factory overrun by an omnipresent super intelligent AI that is able to control everything in the facility and it will do whatever it can to kill you, your job is to get to the main control room and disable the machine

Eternal Night is still being worked on. Swiborg said in a community post around a month ago that it’s still in the making and that it might get reworked entirely.
It is getting redone from scratch, so Eternal Night will be a completely new full level
The old version also will never be released unfortunately

A level I never see talked about ever is OSOWIEC by InexGD, not only has progress been… slow to say the least, but the level is so well decorated and unique that it would be a genuine crime if it died.

Misanthrope is pretty much alive from what i see, i even saw a livestream of someone making their part in it.
And for THL
Recently I've seen some progress on it, like gameplay and deco and theres a whole recently finished deco part on youtube so.

Down Bass Incarnate is basically the "Windows Longhorn" of Geometry Dash
sad that no one seems to remember or have even heard about the deco version of Battle of the Shades (Phase 4). There's a monochrome style version hosted by RealVet with a preview showing progress, but that was 5 years ago and another version hosted by Wesp that was last seen with a part showcase by Xol and River almost 2 years ago with a gold/heaven looking theme. RealVet's version clearly has more progress, at least publicly, but both projects seem to be dead either way

What we REALLY need as the top 1 is ASHLEY WAVE TRIALS.
It's been an open verification for what seems like forever, and yet no one has picked it up as far as I can tell. Really sad imo. That would be an even more unique top 1 than Tidal Wave--maybe even the most unique top 1 we've ever had.

Helpegasus’s, Polli’s, and kllnex’s parts in Galaxy Collapse are too good for the level to die
Cherry team should bring back redemption. I know vernam said cherry will decorate the firework sequel once 2.2 come out, but I don't think it's going to be here at least in 2024. He already is hosting like 50 levels at the moment.

If it does come back, good luck to the verifier, because that’s 17 minutes of sheer memory gameplay that’s probably harder than LIMBO.
Some of those levels do seem like they’ll be good to have released eventually, even if they aren’t Top 1’s
Return zero is extremely fun from what I’ve played of the layout

This might be a hot take but I'd like Injury to be revived. Pretty much every Greafer level is good and the gameplay dosent seem that bad. Kywy has 85% but we don't really hear much from him though.
But I think Aquamarine isn't that good but I would still love to see it verified, since Seels already has 61%.

I believe that currently the official revamp is being hosted by the elite, the cherryteam version is p much dead rn I think, and from what I’ve seen the elite has got a very stacked list of creators (both deco and gp wise) working on the project.
