- I wanted to try a different bee hive this year, so I built horizontal hives. I bought two packages of bees to go in those hives. Watch me build a hive, and install a package of bees.

Nuwe Blare Homestead is a homestead in the Arizona desert. We (try to) grow our own food with our desert garden, we raise chickens and ducks for eggs, and we build the things we need. Your bee hive died? Sad! I have been thinking about getting a hive for pollination, they are about $200 and I really don't know if it would be worth it. This box looks good, hope it works out for you.
Yeah, unfortunately stuff like that happens :-(
But getting a bee hive (dependent on your city regulations and neighbours, of course), is definitely worth it. Or at least it was for me. There were so few bees in our area last year, compared to even now, with the 2 new bee hives.
