ngl, this has made me want a gts 911. The everyday car but can keep up with the gt boys! Fun fact, Sport+ is for the track so Sport is where you get the burbles
In the flesh the GTS looks sooo good. Something about it’s silhouette. If anything made my gt4 look a little old. Maybe the Carrera T is the one to have, albeit less power 🤔
Agree on silver for 911s. Love my 2019 991.2 4 gts. No plans to change!!! Never owned a silver car until now *of 70 or so--not a collector, just rolled thru rides), but like I said ... colors for cars imho, and its their original racing color as well. 😀
I haven't but it's still a lot of weight over the front (1.1 tons-ish) vs probably 600kg over the front of the 911? It's never going to be as nimble....
Agree with you on the gt silver color. Also hate alcantara. Bought a 2023 992.1 c2s in gt silver with black/mojove interior. Just beautiful in and out with the right amount of power and torque. Prefer it over all other variants and not because of price.
Loved the video but please don’t mis inform on the alcantara wheel. It does not wear faster than leather. With grease from hands leather wheels go shiney, alcantara wheels go flat. Both are easily sorted with a safe cleaner and microfibre, or in the case of alcantara a quick brush
Thanks for the comment! Although I'm going to need more convincing on Alcantara wheels. 😆 In my mind they were developed for racing, for use with gloves and wouldn't normally see 10s of thousands of miles. Every older Alcantara wheeled car I've been in has worn very poorly and is much more effort to bring back then leather, and even then still far from how it was new. Just my experience.
gt3 touring is 100% same on road as gt3 wing...just as harsh.... so if u dont want a gt3 then cant see why you'd want a touring on the road either (apart from looking less of a xxxxx's car of couse)
Plastic front Aero Bumper trim on a GTS is far from Cheap, its 750$ Vs the Standard front end lip for 200 or something. Also "Porsche wanted to make this as close to naturally aspirated car as possible" umm, who said this now ?
Plenty of talk around this from Porsche engineers themselves on the new turbo 3.0L - you sound like you know your stuff - surprised you haven't come across that.
@@Steve992.1 Nope, owned 20+ Porsche cars, the 992 is the BMW of the 911 series. American first time buyers like it, outside of that its a total shoulder shrug. Uninteresting, uninspiring, unloved. Chris Harris liked the door handles.....a little
I drive 911 991.2 carrera 4 gts and I love it
I ordered my gts in February of 23 and finally delivery is set for June of 24. So worth the wait! 😎🤓🤩
One of the best looking cars on the road! Best of luck! 👍🏻
Mine just got built. Heading to port !! Still 2 months to get across the pond..😩
@@jasonjulius9670 a long wait, but you know it will be worth it! Good luck!
Congrats! just a couple months 🙌
@@jasonjulius9670 almost there 🙌🏽
Great video as ever, really like your content
I am debating buying a Taycan and your videos have been extremely informative
Thanks - you're welcome! Taycans are going cheap these days 😉

Such good looking cars. That spec too. Reminds me of my C63s ❤️

@@martinbaker8807 I feel like the T is a marketing gimmick tho. Just a base with some spec bits thrown in for free 🥲
@@martinbaker8807 911 still one of the best looking cars ever made. Always loved them.

You’re my new 23rd favorite TH-cam car reviewer.
A strong accolade - I'm sure anyone would agree.

love the fly-bye shots
PS- The 992 GTS will definitely hold its value. The Taycan’s plummet in value here in the USA
have you tried the taycan RWD? The steering is closer to a 911 you mentioned at the beginning of the video.

That's the thing, when it comes down to you as the buyer, you have to go with the heart.
Yep shocking...so shockingly brilliant

Yep, spot on. Same sus setup. I guess it looks like it should ride softer... 😆
992.2 will be hybrid. Manual option? Seriously doubt it
Yeah, it seems that way now since I made this video

The 992 interior is a well executed horror story. Characterless, black gloss plastic and the nub. Ugh. They have become large GT cars, "tech" laden.
I have one and love the nub!
ur opinion only
