The colour is absolutely stunningly beautiful, the chap is a gentleman to give you the key to his 992, a real enthusiast.
That paint is gorgeous. But if a lightweight build was the goal, I would have forgone the absurdly expensive PTS and maybe just done a “special color” instead; then use the leftover budget for the PCCB, which is one of the best ways to save weight.

You have endless amounts of power too! If you reach around 80mph then floor it. It will just go and go and go and all the time you will feel planted to the road. Porsche really do an amazing job of making you feel like an amazing driver lol. It’s not like a Ferrari where you feel like it can just go anywhere. Porsche just make you feel in total control in all conditions. You should have asked him to do a launch control. It’s absolutely stunning. I clocked 0-60 in 2.9 seconds lol.
I hope you pull the trigger and get one. It’s well worth it and you are still very young too! The 911s has been my dream car for 25 years. When I saw the 992 I decided to get one. The fat back end really made my mind up for me. It’s a really sold car and is planted to the road. I get so many thumbs up when driving it and I have lost count the number of people taking photos of it!

If there is I saw some at coffee but I don’t know if it is a club Michael here at the US we have the MSA race they don’t have that over there in England I don’t think is your Porsche souped up with the titanium exhaust you heard ES motors they’re very very very good. Great video! How did the GTS ride on the road? Was it really firm or fairly comfortable and compliant? I'm interesting in the difference between the Carrera S and GTS ride comfort as I get quite a bit of back pain. I would love a GTS but I'm worried it might be too firm.
I think you can spec it with the comfort seats. This was my first drive of a modern Porsche. Hopefully not my last. Compared to my car which is old and lowered it felt really comfortable. Really easy to drive. I couldn’t see a problem at all. You could daily this and do long road trips with ease.

he answers this at 5:10. The older gen 911s are not better touring cars, the 992 is the best for long drives. This is just a GTS with LWBS, hence harsher ride. Get the S or Base model to get a nice ride, or go with an after market suspension, like the Ohlins Road & Track Coilover and set it up exactly how you want

Why was the rear of the car losing traction so often? Were the tires bald? Was the road wet? 911 GTS is extremely stable flooring the gas pedal going around a corner. There is something wrong here
It was wet and I was just plodding along the road so I guess the tyres were cold. He did mention he’s tyres were on their way out
@RollingSlowMedia okay thank you. 911 is my dream car and I would be devastated if the rear end kept slipping like your video. That would be total garbage and very sad. I have never seen any 911 slip like yours even in the rain. I hope it was the tires

How does the size of the car feel compare to the 997?
Bigger but not SUV bigger. Just more air room if that describes it well. The biggest noticeable difference is how the interior has evolved. What do you drive?
@@RollingSlowMedia at the moment just an Audi A6 but working towards a 911 in either 997 or 991. Unless I do really well then a 992 GT3 😂
Hey Trev! Would you rather a modern 911 than your old school 997? I’m sure it’s good to drive but I feel there’s a slight snobbish look I get from a 992 driver when I’m in my 997.2. They never seam to acknowledge me at all. I know they are way more expensive but they must realise we are in the same love affair with what we can afford ourselves. It’s almost like they don’t really understand the history of the cars, they just can afford the newest most expensive ones. I’m sure it’s not all of them but I get waves from old cars, also 996/997 and even some 991s. Maybe they never had an older model first?
Also Trev, I’m getting my steering wheel fixed next weekend at Northway. It’s still raining but the sun is starting to come out and getting brighter. Spring is on the way and I’m defo up for a vid on my car soon!
I don’t think they look down on 997 drivers. I think there is a group of Porsche owners that can afford any car really. To them it’s just a car. I see a lot of Porsche owners where I love in Radlett. It’s a wealthy area. Tycans and SUVs. Dropping kids to school and going to yoga lol. You know the ones I’m talking about.
