I remember being seven years old and having a cold. All the kids recovered in my mom's bed.I was sweating and Peggy came on the radio and sang Fever. All of a sudden I felt a little better.
My father's favorite singer because she looked like his mother. When she came to perform at UNC in 1940's, Dad met her after the performance. I had met her also in New York City at Waldorf Astoria when she was performing there in the early 1970's. Very gracious lady
Love to hear Peggy Lee singing Count You're Fingers. Dean joined in singing Just You just Me. For You. The very thought of you. You're Driving Me Crazy.
an absolute star to the end. i saw her on that final tour after her by-pass surgery. in a wheelchair, she apologized for not standing during the show. then sang 2 hrs and 45 mins with encores, as perfect, as stunningly , hauntingly and fabulous as ever. maybe even the best ever.
Peggy lee, franki and bing sang with the three pianos : and one of these was wolfgang sauer, a german singer and pianoplayer. He was blind man and one of our very best swing singer in the years after ww second in germany
If you like this wonderful performance, check out her appearance on the Judy Garland show--also on YT--where she sings a masterful version of "When the World Was Young." It's wistful and mesmerizing.

Dean and Peggy singing Just You.
This guy should realize, if he was truly there, that Dean isn’t ALWAYS looking at Peggy Lee - he’s looking at the cue cards off camera.
Truth! Now you know who he was performing to….? Check out his duets with Lena Horne 😳😳
