- Emma asked if we could give her husband Steven's 2022 RAM 2500 a makeover while he was away on business. The goal was to surprise him with a faster, more fuel-efficient truck that would handle the California desert where they frequently camp and off-road. We installed the following performance equipment.

Hey look I put a pedal monster on my 2016 Subaru Outback 😂. It completely changed that car. You know longer have to argue with ECU for power. Don’t get me wrong it did not add HP, it just made what I had delightfully available. So much better and smoother. The car is fun to drive now. Huge difference. I can only imagine what it does for a truck.
I've been looking at buying an Outback, for times when my RAM 1500 is too big to park in Boston. I was wondering about one for the Outback 2.4l Turbo.
Oh boy! This young lady just increased the number of years in their marriage life by 99.99%. Thank you ma'am from a married man. This is definitely something my lovely wife will do for me if she didn't forget all the time...lol.🤠
Nice updates. Emma was obviously one of those ‘kindergarten racers’ who pick up the kid(s), drive around the corner and then … plant boot on the way to the school/supermarket🙂!
The Monster exhaust sounds nice on my 5.3L Silverado. If you live anywhere you get snow just plan on it rusting really fast unless you get it coated. Just FYI for anyone considering it.
I would get any vehicle I have coated with an anti corrosion paint
@@fireflyraven2760 the truck is fine. The exhaust looks like something from the Titanic. Literally after one year. I have friends, one with a Borla ATAK series and another with a Magnaflow and look brand new after several Cleveland winters.
That mount for the gauge is a nice finishing touch. Want to get the engine parts for our 3500

It’s called common sense you should roll it up sometime. The pedal commander is a gimmick let’s see real power numbers compared to stock.

Why does your website still say some of the components you put on this truck still aren't CA compliant and yet they are being installed on a CA truck?
Poor Carli got the short end of the stick here. 😢 At least he said it rides nice. Otherwise, the whole focus was the power mods.
How much did this whole set up run?
I just installed the monster pedal and the monster ram intake elbow on my 2019 Ram 2500 Laramie longhorn diesel and it get's up to speed effortlessly. We just need Banks to hurry up with the tune. Otherwise, Banks makes great products.

Don’t forget to upgrade that transmission with those 37”’s and the upgraded performance I know cause I did this and began the dreaded slip and I fixed that with revmax and a upgraded valvebody and deep pan and it is awesome now and smooth shifts

my worry exactly! not great tranny and you just added way to large of tires and unknown HP gain.
Wont like them for long. All the throttle thing does is remove torque management.

I run a banks monster ram and an s&b cold air intake tuned and deleted with a 5 inch full straight pipe on a factory original 68 RFE-A, never had problems with it yet. The 68rfes aren't nearly as bad as people give them credit for, they just aren't build to handle too much excess horsepower.
I got a 68 rfe myself. You drive aggressive with 37s your looking for trouble

Been running 5” straight pipe, deleted, tuned, cold air intake and 37x 13.5s and have about 100k miles on it so far. No issues or indicators or problems other than ball joints which I replaced myself with upgraded units. Have towed plenty of shit with it and it works great. This is all with the 68rfe. Waiting for the day if it goes so I’ll just go hunt down the Allison
The only two things I would do is the rear differential cover and change out that stock part that drops a nut down on the cylinder head.
That is automatically changed when they did the monster ram

Umm where is the A-Pillar mount for the iDash?? Is it available yet and will there be a two or three gauge mount option???? I have a 2020 3500 and no A-Pillar mounts. They stop at 2018.
We are currently making them, they'll be available in a few weeks in single and dual configurations.

Not sure if you've seen some of our comments on our other social posts. The Derringer, when released, will work with all generations of the 6.7L. Why isn't it available? For the same reason, the 2020+ Ford 6.7L and Duramax LZ0/LM2 aren't available. We started down a path electronically that didn't yield the horsepower required to make it a marketable product. So, we went back to the drawing board. Twice. The RAM 6.7 requires more than just manipulating the FRP and MAP. This means it's a whole new circuit board and firmware shares nothing with the current GM and EcoDiesel Derringer. We're fully committed to this truck platform. Once this new Derringer tuning is 100% for all the Ram 6.7l Cummins platforms, we’ll launch it.
Great. Then I’ll go thousands more in debt for a full upgrade of my RAM 😂 Love my ram air and pedal monster! Although my 68rfe is sure to cry from too much track mode.

For free, just pretend it is the correct speedometer. Like me, 70 mph is a 65 mph to me on a interstate with a 65 mph limit.

It’s no secret we’ve been developing the tuner for the Power Stroke platform over the last few years without putting them on sale. We've been quiet about a release date.Why? The new Derringer Ford platform will share nothing with the current Ford 6.7l Derringer except the name. The 2020+ model-year trucks require us to add more features like a new circuit board and software rather than just manipulating FRP and MAP. Once this new Derringer platform is dyno tested, dialed in, and ready for all the model years, we’ll launch it.
How’s the mpg after all that?
Terrible mileage 37's stock gearing...but looks and can now offroad.

im sure it isn't much of a difference at all. the throttle controller just makes it "feel" faster by adding more throttle. there's no gain in power at all. all they really did to improve performance was throw an intake on lol
@@bigd021191 disagree. yes a CAI may only add like 10-15HP but they removed a massive restrictive intake plate and intake elbow that gained 34% in pounds a min in air flow. increased airflow for a turbo'd engine can be huge. now im not sure how adding 3.5" intercooler pipes helps without a tune since you'd think that would be a pressure drop within the system leading to HP loss, not gain but idk. have to see what banks says. as for overall HP gain on this truck, those tires killed any gain that was going to be had!! probably 20 or more pounds than stock and its all rotational weight moved outward! not good.
Yeah hi. I'm using my wife's channel here on TH-cam. Only problem is when she blows up that 68 RFE and it's going to be $12,000 for a new transmission. $2,500s have the 68 RV. I have a 3500-2024 longhorn limited with the AISIN transmission. Way better way better. I have a 1,075 foot pounds of torque and a 410 rear end also.😮

Why does a ram 2500 have coil springs in the rear? Factory or aftermarket, that's just wrong.
My '18 2500 has them too, had to go 3500 if I wanted leafs but I wanted a G56 more sooooo..........I have rear coils. After cutting and hauling 200 cord of firewood and using it as a log skidder it I finally put air bags on and Holy hell what a difference that made for hauling! I too want all the BANKS shenanigans under the good but dunno if that ever happens lol
If you want a lot of payload go for the 3500… there’s no reason to make a 2500 ride like a 3500 yet not have the capacity
I've hauled all sorts of crazy weight in my truck.. 17,000lb skid loader/trailer and the coils were just fine.. my truck barely squats under most load.
