Şemsiye is also an arabic word but we pronounce it as( şemsiyye ) with double (y) and it means ( güneşlik ) not ( yağmurluk ) so it proves that people were using it to protect themselves from sunshine not rain. Ukala is also an arabic word which comes from the root ( akıl =mind , thought ) .. And it has a very interesting etymological historical story in arabic .. turkish language is not a hard language but it's not international at the same time. i think, to learn turkish exactly, you must be grown up in this culture. hard to understand literature, jokes etc. might be hard for someone international because we have a rich culture and language.

In English some might say it is more correct to say "I'm well", if we respond to enquiries about how we are. It's a popular Americanism but not universal where English is the first language. "I'm good" has other meanings outside the USA context it's usually used in, such as meaning "I'm a good person".

As a native American English speaker, I speak with a potato in my mouth. Learning Turkish could soon cure me of that. On the bright side I found dotless ı easy because my native dialect has /ɨ/ in many unstressed syllables, which is very similar to it.

This doesn't really make sense to me; all of the words are easy to pronounce. What is difficult and more essential is Turkish grammar. İ wish more emphasis was put on FUNDAMENTAL topics like grammar and syntax.
Maybe this is easy 4 u but this words are hard to say for some people from england or russia or some asia countries becouse they dont have the same voices like 'Ş' or 'ı' or 'Ç'. The grammar also is not that hard. But Turkish is not a prefixed language. I dont know the right term for this. We attatches the extra things to the end of the word. So, that may be the reason wwhy u get confused.
turkish language is not a hard language but it's not international at the same time. i think, to learn turkish exactly, you must be grown up in this culture. hard to understand literature, jokes etc. might be hard for someone international because we have a rich culture and language.
Furkan Gökhasan Yes! The extra attachments at the end of words are what confuses me a little even after a year of learning Turkish even though i have an aptitude for languages and am a fast learner. This is why im saying that more emphasis must be put on explaining Turkish grammar (which, i think it is an undebatable argument that grammar is the fundament of any language) instead of creating videos like this one.
Sbh // I agree! Someone international cannot really dig into all of the jokes and phrases and the beautiful Turkish culture. However, I myself am not exactly international - Armenian, to be more precise. And I gotta tell you, our cultures are VERY much alike and everything is totally understandable and learnable for me :)
