My older brothers all married abusive wives (which I credit to us being raised Mormon). They all possess traits that remind me of Laura so much. So yeah. The world needs more reminders and this case will hopefully be one of them.
can't remember if it was TUG or Megan who said it, but you were spot on that he's loving the traction his blog posts are getting. I've been dying to see his contract with Laura since I feel like he's being paid for some sort of hit man rather than legal services, but I also think that this guy is so full of himelf that he just loves any sort of attention, even if it's making fun of him--heck, I remember he got all hot an bothered when Dave didn't read one of his emails and when one of you didn't get around to covering one of his posts a while back!
What really hit me at the end of the interview with Mike, He has a daughter, sie will one day be old enough to find the ted x talk etc on the internet. Friends can google her dads name and there will be these awful things about him coming up. And the parents of her friends, who is going to let his kid go to his home after reading about what LO put out there about him. Mike will have to explain this for the rest of his life to others, confront this story over and over. It's so diabolical.

The HUGE problem with "slap on the hand" rulings is that the victim DOESN'T get justice!
Not only does the perp get to walk away, but the PUBLIC believes it was "no big deal" and the victim was clearly just making a big deal out of nothing. The victim gets revictimized by the very system that is supposed to protect them and the perpetrators are galvanized by lack of meaningful action.

Dingus is just taking Laura's $$. I feel like Laura is just dictating to Dingus what she wants him to do and say (cuz you know she is following everyone's accts/podcasts 24/7 per her own words) and he is just saying...sure thing Laura - whatever you want. He may view it as - she is my client and if she wants me to do and say XY and Z, and she is paying me...I will do it. That is Dingus allowing free speech to his client - which is his tagline/mission statement. Lies are just free speech is Dingus' world. I am letting Dingus off the hook one bit as he is definitely doing beyond odd things for an attorney. But I do feel like Laura is giving a LOT of directions to him and he is just following - how else would he still be getting along with Laura at this point?!?! I know of one case of a family court perjury ending up in a criminal conviction. State of Nevada vs. Michael McDonald 2019. Guy got 2-4 yrs on 3 counts to be served concurrently. A few youtubers have covered this case already.
Megan and Tug… Didn’t Judge Doody let it slip in court that Judge Doody admitted Laura contacted him directly (and Megan you requested proof of that from the court)… because if what she swayed him on was based on lies… then Clayton’s OOP was based on incorrect facts fed to Judge Doody, which should allow for basis to dismiss it.

Re: women vs men as predators and victims... i completely agree its so gross. My partner and I were watching a movie last night, Horrible Bosses (2011), and I had to stop and turn it off after the intro scenes with Jennifer Anniston's character blackmailing Charlie Day's character with basically photos of her r*pe of him while he was under dental anesthesia... it was marketed as a comedy and i was NOT prepared for all of that. I couldnt even watch the rest of the movie. I felt lame and embarrassed for how i was triggered, but the more i thought about it the more disgusted I was with all of that being a plot line for a comedy in the first place. They would NEVER shoot those scenes or put that in a comedy movie if it was a man doing it to a female dental assistant ....

From the looks of things, Gingers knows how to placate Laura and entice her to spend more money. Though I feel Laura is more than willing, and if not for Gingers, there would be someone else in his place, provided she found a similarly money-hungry lawyer. I don't feel sorry for her or for the parents who are most likely financing her. Her whole family has taken advantage of MM, and emotionally blackmailed him, and when he was finally able to walk away, she did everything to ruin his life, costing him not only financially but also emotionally. She did similar things to GG and CE.
Losing their financial stability because a lawyer found a big pot of gold in Laura's obsession is a self-inflicted consequence of Laura's actions and a small price to pay, considering the financial loss and mental anguish she and her enabling family caused to others.
And if, in the end, she and her lawyer turn on each other, I would have no problem getting the popcorn and gleefully watching the show.
