Just did it on my 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS. It worked great. All other tutorials mentioned only to press the hazard switch within 10 seconds of jumping pin 1 and 4, I tried the same procedure but it didnt work. After watching your tutorial, I understood that, I have to jump pin 1 to ground by connecting to pin 4 "within 10 seconds of inserting the 10" which I had missed. I used to insert the key and was not hurrying to jump the pins as, which is why my earlier tries didnt work. Now it works.@all, do not forget to jump the pins 1 and 4 "within 10 seconds" of inserting the key. This part is missing in many tutorials. Thanks.
Thanks for this! Worked on my 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander. On paper, the directions aren't 100% clear. With your video, I got it on the first try. Dealer wanted $110 for the fob, $100 for programming. I bought the fob on eBay for $32 (cheapest I could find it from a reputable seller) and programmed it myself.

Works a treat with Pajero too... Paper clip works for jumper if no wire. But there are a couple of small details in this one that others miss. "Its a sequence and you have to get the timing right"
this video was extremely helpful, so I want to pay it forward. Evo IX works, I tried initially with a paperclip multiple times. It didn't work. I found some old wire from a light switch that I used and it worked first try. your experience may vary.

WOW..I called the dealership to ask how much it would cost to get this done (because I didn't have any working remotes) and they wanted to charge over 400 dollars. No, after I tried it it still didnt work. I think I read somewhere that models equipped with anti theft (like gts version) won't be able o be reprogrammed like this.
+mechguy9000 if you don't have a working key fob you will not be able to program the remote, if you have a working fob then you just need to follow the steps in the repair manual, the only way you can program one or two or three remotes, a Mitsubishi MUT-III or multi use tester III is required, since there are no programmed remotes you have to start from scratch, there is no other way around, go to my channel, there I show how to program a transponder key with a MUT-III it is possible to do it manually with a paper clip but it only works on the evo 9 and below I will post some info from the repair manual
Emereje_ if you’re still looking for wire it’s everywhere. Uncan even use a paper clip or a twist tie from a bread. Any thin metal that fits like speaker cable

works for mitsubishi outlander 2004 Great instructions, you could use 3 paper clips and save on the connecting cable. Insert paper clips in data port 1 and 4.Then prepare the third clip to make connect both together. Close the door, Insert key. then you have 10 seconds to complete the following. Make the third paper clip touch the two, then pump the hazard button 6 times..... the doors will lock...then press your lock button on your fob 3 times and the doors will lock. That's it. Remove the clips and your done. I bought a 3 button key fob on ebay that has a trunk button. however that button dosen.t register. Later
Would it work with the driver side door open? I tried all the steps on my 02 lancer and once i clicked the hazard button 6x and the car doors locked i then clicked the LOCK button 3x and nothing happened , i've tried this with two remotes so far. so ive been reading on this for a while but cant find an answer for my problem. ive followed the keyless entry remote programming instructions. jumper wire from pin 1 to 4, hit flashers 6 times, doors lock and unlock, then hit lock on remote 3 times, it locks then unlocks to indicate that its programmed. then when i remove the jumper wire and get out of the car and hit the lock button, nothing happens. keyless didnt work when i bought the car, so i changed the battery in the remote and tried reprogramming and it still wont stay programmed. All of my interior equipment works such as radio, clock, dome light. so i dont think its the etacs. ive checked fuses. how ever under the hood in the slim relay box next to the fuse box there is a slot that doesnt have a relay thats a picture of a car with a key inside of it. would that be a keyless entry relay? if anyone has insight on this, id appreciate an answer.
i guess all of what you've done is correct except when you jump off of the car you forgot to REMOVE THE KEYS before trying your remote. it's the final step. just like in other electronics, that is the shut down mode and will close/finish the operation

Are you sure the remote is for the lancer and if it is... does it have the electronic components. Some remotes are sold empty. You might need to take it to a car locksmith.
It is, it has an extra panic button as well but I have two and they are both not working. Once I get to the last step ( clicking lock button 3x ) it doesn't lock my doors.
Contact your local dealer. Give them your VIN number. Ask for the original remote for your car. Get the Part Number aka MR#. Once you get the number type it into eBay to receive the original one. I purchased mine for $20 New with free shipping.

Keg King idk I’d make sure the ports on the OBD 2 are in good shape and the wire fits good and make sure they are I. The right ports it’s in the row closer to the rear of the car then count to four from driver to passenger side other than that idk 🤷♂️
