Everyone should stand up and demand the right to have no immobilizer on their new car if they choose. Now instead of your car getting hot wired and stolen they break in and shoot you and take the key. Also they significantly increase the likelihood of your car being taken straight to the scrap yard. Wish i could buy a new car without one. These immobilizers are being forced on us and it's not cool at all.
Damn straight, i have an 02 civic that nobody is gonna try and steal, but my immobilizer light isnt coming on so now i gotta either swap out the transponder and pay someone to reprogram it, or switch out the ecu, transponder, and key and cylinder just to drive my car because the piece of shit security system is jacked, so either way im out 200 bucks give or take and without a car until then, its bullshit they should offer a replacement or a way to disable it if you want

No, it does not matter, if you've lost your only set of keys, an auto locksmith can provide you with a replacement and re-program the new car key to match your vehicle. The old key will be de-programmed to make it useless, in case it has been stolen.

make sure you use varnished wire like's in transformer. Otherwise the loops will conduct like one big loop. He is scraping the varnish off the ends so it will conduct there only.

This is a technical nonsense! The few turns ended by a short circuit will weaken drastically the signal by absortion. In other terms the dialog with the key is impossible so there is no chance at all to start the engine. It is a shame to encourage people to waste their time with such "miraculous tricks". No magie, only physics!!!

That is not a faraday Cage? More likely an induced current acording to Lenz law Will make changes in the magnetic field which affects the build-in hall sensor.
I bought a 2005 Accord that has the immobilizer BS. It still works, but don't like the downside of it at all. So with all these damn cars that have it, I found ONE that does not and bought that car as a spare. It is a 2007 Toyota Yaris. Just takes a flat key with no chip to start it a run it!! When I later looked at the ignition cylinder there was no cable and wires or ring on it. No key light on the dash either. They are very reliable cars also, and why they left it off that year and model I have no idea. Will never sell it.
im not sure this works... you see if you have a closed coil around the original coil...when the key is inserted it will induce a current in the normal coil that signals the ecm...but this new coil of 20 wraps, will also have a current induced in it.... but the current will be tiny and can not flow ...because both ends of the coil are at the same potential.. and no possible current can flow. so this trick cannot work. if you do it and your system starts to work..it is not due to the coil you added...it is due to either you disconnecting and reconnecting, or due to the batteries in the key buildinig a bit more charge... trust me ..the coil does nothing.

Tape the broken key head to the Chip-less-key till you can get a new one cut and programmed. Don't loose the broken key. You can use it as a Master so you don't have to Reset the IMMO computer.

I have a 2003 Avalon with lost keys I called a locksmith that told me he would get it done $800 plus tax he was out there for 4 hours and came to a conclusion of my security light was not blinking so he couldn’t finish the reflash on the ECU so he says I need an electrician… I can’t find anyone to complete the job I need some advice 🙏💆🏾♂️😪😭👿
Seems like it may work if the balance of capatance and inductance is correct. It would simply send the original interrogation code back and because it is exact it should match. Newer ones probably not so much. 🤔
When you change your ecu ,you better remove the eeprom from your old ecu then put in the new used ecu that your purchase on line ,then it is solved . Or if possible go on line buy the used ecu with the imbolizer and its key ,then you swap your ecu and imbolizer ,no need to program then put or mount its. Key on top of or hide inside the ignition cylinder to serve the chip ,then use the old key that you make copy from your old car key with out the chip then start the car,then it will start for you ,,cheaper and cheaper . I swapped my car by that 2 ways above it all worked .
