    Thank you so much for posting these videos Camille! I’m in the process of submitting my Working Holiday visa and hoping to come to Korea in September to study the language, travel and work part time for a couple months. This video will be super helpful for me when I start to apply for a jobs in my field (sales & marketing) again!! 😁

      You’re very welcome! I am glad you’ve enjoyed them. 🤗 The Working Holiday visa sounds like a good choice. I wish it was an option for me but I’m too old lol. Good luck with everything. 🙌🏻

    Thanks for another amazing video, I really enjoy your content. I am in the process of applying for jobs in South Korea, and I hope that someday soon I will find a match and land an interview. I work in Information Technology and from what I understand that is an uphill battle...

    I always love your advice on these things. I am currently trying to find ways to break out of teaching jobs in Korea.
    One question I have is, do I have a chance to find a marking type of job in Korea with minimal marketing experience and a degree related to that?
    You maybe have no idea since it is such a specific situation but if you have any input I'd love to hear it!

    • @CamilleBlais
      @CamilleBlais  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! Depending on which visa you'll be going for (D10, E7, or H1) you will need a certain about of experience and a degree that matches the job description exactly. Outside of that, Korean employers consider both post-secondary education and work experience pretty significantly in the interviewing process. I'd just recommend playing close attention to the job description. As long as you match the requirements you should have a good chance!🫶🏻

    Thank you Camille.
    One question, Do your advices apply on both full Korean speaking company and full english speaking company based in S.Korea ?
    Other than this I love the way you're explaining.
    Very interesting ! :)

    • @CamilleBlais
      @CamilleBlais  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! In my experience, most work places are 90% Korean speaking. You may find an opening on a team that is English speaking (which have been the cases for me) but I’ve never come across a fully or majority English speaking company located in Korea. If there was one, I’d probably just follow the usual western approach when applying. I hope this helps! 🙌🏻

    Thanks for this very informative video :) I'm in the process of changing job here in Korea and now preparing for my application. I suddenly got nervous. Been a while since I had panel interview. HAHA my Korean friend told me that she had also panel interviews in most of her applications. ^^ Would it be fair to ask the interviewer about visa sponsorship for instance the foreign candidate is hired? or they would definitely address it after the interview? thank you

    • @CamilleBlais
      @CamilleBlais  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's completely normal to feel nervous before a panel interview, but don't worry, you've got this! As for asking about visa sponsorship, it's always better to wait until after the interview. They will likely bring it up themselves if they are interested. I hope it went well!

      Check their main industries and then check for statistics on open vacancies vs number of local graduates in those filds, and you will know what to study.
      My advice to you, think very carefully, do you really want to live and work there?
      You will be treated like c...ap there, not in your face, but you will be trated like that. Discrimination, lack of support from government, etc.

    i’m a student in a field that i don’t like and i don’t know where its going to lead me but i just wanna study abroad, in south/north asia if possible, it gave me the idea that i could work for a kbeauty brand, but i lack self confidence n i just don’t know where to start with studies, ( almost 21 and i feel being late)

    • @CamilleBlais
      @CamilleBlais  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s never to late to follow your dreams! So many people pivot their careers much later in life and have great success. At 21, the world is your oyster - trust me!💗 If you want to work in kbeauty in Korea, the easiest way is to work in the marketing and communications department like I do as many brands want to grow internationally! I’d recommend looking into studying these subjects and getting some experience interning in the industry. I hope this helps.

    Hey. I really want to come korea and get job there but dont know how to do all these things. I want to be a teacher but as i know korea don't really accept Indians as teacher. Please help me find a path. Lots of love❤

    • @CamilleBlais
      @CamilleBlais  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, there are only seven countries that are eligible for the teaching (E2) visa and India is not one. 😔 That’s not the only option though! I’d suggest looking to an E7 if you’re qualified. I’m sure the Korean embassy in Indian has lots of resources you can read through for more info! Good luck 🫶🏻

      E7? Forget about that one.
      Your obstacle number 1 will be lack of korean languagne.
      Obstacle number 2, your origin and race (India).
      Obstacle number 3 will be the subject field of your study.
      There is a reason why you see only those foreigners getting jobs who are exchange students.
      They are already present in Korea, they speak korean on some level, they study in korean university, and mostly are white/western.
      That is sad truth, but, it is as it is.
