Thank you for answering my question on how often jobs pay. A number of jobs in the US will pay weekly or every 2 weeks, so getting paid only once a month will be a budget adjustment I need to prepare for.
Thanks for this video. Teona has really good advices. They make sense, but some people can tend to forget their manners when they go to another country. I'm French and I know there are some issues in Korea because of other French people. It makes me angry as I really tried to respect and understand the culture when I used to live there.

Hello 😊🌸 from Armenia 🇦🇲 I'm a programmer 👩🏼💻 and I was looking to apply for jobs in europe or dubai or korea after I graduate. This video was very helpful. Thank you so much 😊🌸🤍
Thank you both for the awesome information you both gave. I totally agree to know the value of South Korean and how people from all over should respect their means. !!!
For me my journey started 3 years ago. First my main focus was on Korean dramas as I am always looking at things from analytical and emotional perspective together I was aware that dramas arent real life. After some period of time gradually I got interested in learning the language in order to explore more about the cultural aspects. As a plus sentence structure of my main language Turkish is similar to Korean it gets easier to understand and compare. Now I realised in several years I would like to live in Korea. As a result Ill save this video for later too.
I worked as a Librarian. So municipal government, civil servant type job. We wore sensible shoes and walked around with canvas tote bags with slogan or illustrator artwork. It was harder to take off. Cause someone always had to be there at each job level. Sometimes worked morning and afternoon. Sometimes afternoon and night. Sometimes on weekend. No bonus. Salary could be stagnant for some time.

Been looking but I heard that it is easier to find a job when you get to Korea compared to trying to find a job before you go. I'm a gyopo w/no degree and an F4 visa. What options do you think I would have? I would be taking a huge pay cut to move to Korea but it is what I have always wanted to do. Also, is there a service where I could pay someone to help me create my resume in Korean form?
With no degree.... you honestly will find it incredibly difficult. Korea has the highest amount of university grads in the world. 80% of Koreans have a degree. It doesn't even matter the degree so much, its more that you have one and even more so a good university. So unless you are super specialized with years of experience... truth is your chances are low.
if u are into trucking... u probably can make it or If u have some money saved up and want to open a business u also can do it.... Their population is aging rapidly... they will need young foreigners if they don't want to go extinct. Besides that in today's world experience is what matters the most, if u have experience in ur craft u can probaly get a job their regardless of ur education. Having a hight education doesn't mean being more professional than the ones who don't.
Wow this was so informative and helpful for people like us who are trying to get into working to Korea. She’s so on point with her answers and it really does comes down to dedication and hard work. I wish I can have her confidence to go through all that process just to get a job in Korea. Also, I was really impressed how she said that manners is the one of the most important thing to learn., “ if you don’t understand it/them, try to have an open mind” and “ you’re a visitor of this country and you should be the one to adjust”. I miss Korea so much. I was just there for few months and came back couple days ago. My is Korean is very minimal so I deducted to learn again from the bottom and work hard.
As a foreigner no matter which company you are applying, Startup medium big, without even looking at your resume the first question is: how good is your Korean even if you are in charge for the overseas market. So before anything else if you want to work in Korea start learning Korean as of now 🙃 also I advice everyone to think seriously why you want to work here and if it is really worth it. I have worked already at 5 different places and also talked to people who have been here for 10 years, and I can tell you it is still not foreigner friendly. The big companies put foreigners in roles so they can have the image of diversity the small companies take advantage of foreign workforce because they can pay them lower salary saying “we are sponsoring your visa so this is the salary. Not negotiable. Take it or leave it.” I heard this from so so many foreigners so truly think why you want to work here.
