@John Doe Seriously? This video was extremely drawn out. Could have cut probably 6-10 minutes out and not lost anything of substance.

As an owner of an aventum X i need to clarify some things for the viewers. They drain the system out before shipping and include with the PC a draining kit and instructions how to drain them (all the lines coming from the tank are quick-disconnect so its actually very simple) and include 2x 1 liter bottles of the fluid you chose which is more than enough to fill the system twice over and a sqeeze bottle to help you fill it. At first it may be difficult to open the Reservoir tank but thats why they inclue the clamp
THANK YOU!!
For the conversions to metric, asking for this kind of "Don't need for the host to do it on the fly, but easy to add in editing" kind of consideration for a while in lots of creators channels...
You mentioned wanting a laser cutter. There are issues you need to be aware of starting with what gasses come out of materials when you cut them. Maker's Muse has a few videos on that and is a good place to start. It is always a good idea to make sure any laser cutter/engraver has fume extraction WITH filter system.
Yes; Home (or local library--they out-of-ordered it bc inadequate fume handling) laser cutting can get expensive really fast. CNC routing is messier and has different problems but most people will think about and plan ahead for sawdust.
That's a good heads-up. What do you think of water jet cutting ?
@@sidgysoho1960 keep your hands behind you when the machine is on!!
That is one GORGEOUS build... and all those drive bays... WOW!
Eh, kinda overkill given the proliferation of SSDs and M.2 drives. I cut the sides of my Aventum's drive bays to provide for better airflow from the front fans (and I am never going back to HDDs).
@@magnanimus9692 mass storage is cheaper if you use HDD still. So HDD aren't dying anytime soon.
@@magnanimus9692 Not really overkill, its pretty practical actually; I run a threadripper workstation and use lots of drives in a raid config along with ssds and can say it is really useful having a damn lot of storage.
@@desupernoodle Mmm yea that's true. I guess if you work with gigantic files (as a streamer or whatever) a stack of HDDs would be a good economical way of storing that data while keeping it all readily accessible.
@@Hextia Touche. Running in RAID config (like RAID 10) would probably be an excellent use of those 8 bay drives.
I recently got the 1000D.this build has given me a ton of ideas on what to do.
Thanks Jay.
As a 1000D owner myself, the first thing I had to know was - is this bigger? It is not.
@@jtreedy116 Mhm, looks smaller than the 1000D; I have one too.
@@PragmaticTornado Slightly larger in one dimension, smaller in the other two - 1000D comes out about a cubic foot more volume.
@@jtreedy116 Hey, I'll take that. 😅
This is the computer I had been eyeballing until my wife bought me a Corsair 1000D case. I love the Aventum line. Amazing.
Dayum. You won the wife lottery lol
Currently on my 3rd Digitalstorm system. No issues on any ever. Always good customer support too, from simple questions to actual issues.
Yes you pay a bit more than you would doing it yourself and even a little more than some other SI company. But the quality is there and attention to detail is good. I have never had any issue with anything before. Got a couple friends who are on their 4/5th systems from them and they work flawless too.
I had 2 Lynx case systems custom and my system now is a custom Velox case build.
I would recommend them for sure. Unless you're on an absolute tight budget as they are a little upcharged.
I have overseen digital storm for years but I’m not sure if I should just for it
I think there could be a second pump either in the basement or where the AVENTUM logo is by the CPU - I seem to remember there being a small "dome UFO" reservoir that had mounting for a D5 pump. You'd just have to tweak the fan profile so both pumps ran in sync.
I have 5 chunky 80mm thick rads in my system, no distro blocks, no QD, and my single D5 has been running like a champ for 7 years, no issues with flow rate and no need for a 2nd pump. Granted, I'm using 30 fans in a much bigger Case Labs S8 case cooling four 3080Ti's alongside a 5960X.
And yes, I did it all myself fully custom - it's the kind of supreme build that not even Digital Storm would be able to do. They used to do 4xGPU builds but not any more, so mine is literally the last and greatest you will see. I have photos on LTT forum Jay if you are interested. And no, I won't be shipping it to you, but I am in LA if you want to come see it 😎
One true beast of a machine.
I bought a Digital Storm Lumos 4 months ago and I am loving it. Got it with free shipping, free upgrade from included 3 year warranty to a 4 year warranty, and free CPU overclocking.
At the risk of sounding like an advertisement, I love Digital Storm! They built my first gaming PC when I was too intimidated to try building my own. Besides being impressed by their build quality, I was also very thankful to have access to their help desk when some issues popped up and I didn't know how to fix them. A DS tech got assigned to my ticket, then walked me through some troubleshooting steps over the phone until the problem was solved. That's a massive plus to someone who is new to the PC world!
Here to check out what my new PC will (sorta) look like. I just ordered an Aventum from Digital Storm and I'm super excited and nervous. Hoping I'm gonna love it. It cost a small fortune at $14,442 with shipping and taxes, but it should be a dream machine. Here's to hoping. Beautiful PC unboxing.
That Aventum is absolutely beautiful, I would prefer a blue fluid(make it water/ice themed) but I am a sucker for a nice "ice blue" scheme.
I bought a PC from digital storm a couple years ago and it’s been nothing but a problem since it has arrived at my house and it wasn’t just any PC it’s their flagship the Aventum X. It started out with a 12900k in it and it quit working so they put a 13900k in it and it quit working so then they recently put a 14900k in it which I had to pay the difference every time for the new CPU’s. I also had to have the GPU replaced a 4090, and the power supply. I obviously requested a refund but they said since the computer is 2 years old they can’t do anything even though it’s still under warranty. They then decided they would cover shipping to have the whole PC sent back to them for repairs and I was promised a new CPU and new motherboard but after arriving they said they wasn’t going to replace the motherboard because they couldn’t find anything wrong with it but they did replace the CPU because they said it wasn’t working….shocker….. they then tested it and stuff and said it’s running fine now and had it shipped back to me, well it arrived back to me Dec.23 2024 and after only having it a few hours it caught on fire, now I’m waiting to hear back from management
I literally reached out to catch the glass when you stepped away after taking the last screw out of the side panel lol oh and screamed like a little girl.
I saw the other day on your Instagram a picture you started to work out, so this is why. The full builds are getting heavier and heavier. 😁
2:53 I saw that the moment he unscrewed and my heart started beating really really fast !! 😂😅
I got a digital storm pc back in 2013, it too was enormous. It still lives and is now my daughter’s pc. I wanted to buy another for myself, but Digital Storm are big time now and I could not afford it.
I'd love to see jay do a GIANT build; like in this case or a dual system thing in a 1000D or the phanteks case. Who needs 'normal size' computers!
Watching Jay hurt himself has become one of my favorite parts of the channel
That's what he said
…he?
That's what she said*
Why is it SUS, when it can be US?
No he didnt
I miss Caselabs. They built some absolute monster cases which you could fill with absolute monsters of systems.
Still using the STH10 Magnum, which can fit three 560mm rads and a 280mm rad with no issues.
as "wise and all knowing" channels like LTT, JayzTwoCents, GamersNexus etc are, it's always awesome to see them exploring, learning and aspiring to new things.
@@Rew123 they are definitely for both entertainment and information lol
Eh, had you said Der8auer, JayzTwoCents and GamersNexus I'd agree. IMO LTT is purely an "entertainment channel" that includes tech as a platform, where the cast and characters seem to try to act younger and younger as they "evolve" for the memes and lolz. A click is a click I guess.
Jay, nice system I hope it meets your expectations in the coming months. Two years ago when I built my system I seriously considered having DS build for me. However, after reading literally hundreds of complaints and fixes put out by DS. I concluded that their warranty policy was very shabby and in some cases nonexistent. One of their sales reps contacted me to ask why I backed out. After explaining why and giving him examples from his own website. He never said a word again. Now obviously they can and do build some really good systems, but once it goes out the door it is buyer beware. I wanted a company that would stand by me and help me work through any problems. Not someone I had to argue with over everything.
Always loved seeing digital storm builds since the original large pixel collider was built back in the day. I wonder if you'd be able to fit upgraded parts into that with it being as modular as it seems with all those quick disconnects?
I just bought another Cosmos II case - it may be a decade or so old but it is great in many ways. The only changes I would make would be to add 1/2" more cable management space on the back and a couple of USB C connectors int he front.
You need a PC cart for this to roll on instead of trying to twist and turn it on the desk lol.
Already could tell it was a digital storm computer before clicking 👀. My first gaming pc I bought from them. They got awesome custom service too
Man, that is a beautiful piece of technology, and engineering. I doubt I'd ever buy one, but it's still a marvel to look at. I mean, I have a basic "gaming" style lit up PC, and I still get distracted by it, and catch myself staring at it. So it's easy to imagine having something like this, and getting literally nothing done because I'd be too busy gawking at it like a schoolboy with his first adult magazine, lol. As my wife puts it, she likes sparkly, and I like light-y upp-y (technical term), lol.
they shouldve made it with some retractable sliders underneath it or something. Cos if its heavy for a 6'4" guy like jay then for some people (chics) that thing may even be immovable
look on the bright side if your house ever gets robbed it might just be one of the things they leave behind😆

I just ordered one from these guys actually lol
@@vapinggranny2474which one did you order? And how has it been running?
@@therealdunguscrapbag2309 I got a Velox with a 4080 and 13900k with a full water cooling loop for both. Thing has been an absolute unit, and digital storm themselves are very helpful and have great customer service. Only problem I’ve had so far is this recent month (I’ve had it since January), I’ve got some algae buildup, and they wanted me to send in the pc which woulda been like a month and I said I can’t do that it’s my work computer and they’re being very helpful trying to send out a new loop and walk me thru replacement. If you’re not building it urself and want to make sure that after u got it, the company is gonna still treat u like a client, I can’t complain about these guys. If you have a resin printer you can get REALLY smooth and precise. That is why I went with resin is the level of detail is absurd and it can get to that level of quality. Not only that, in my opinion resin printing is easier, and anyone who complains about fumes and such simply has never worked with it. Personally the cover on my anycubic covers any fumes (if there are any and there really isn't), the resin is sticky, but basic soap can wash it off. I pretty much work without gloves and mask now and its completely harmless unless you go swimming in it.
I’m currently saving up for this pc, maxed out hardware and specs
When I Mathed it out, I need around 9 grand lol
I’m replacing my Corsair 1000D with a Corsair 7000X. I wanted the airflow but, a slightly smaller case isn’t a horrible thing either 😂
i just left the cable side glass door off mine so that i can get some more air to the front cause the back is facing the wall anyways
I have the 7000d
The biggest thing is I’m not longer running a NAS as a second system in the 1000D so rebuilding my system properly in a new case is just the evolution of my system. I’ve loved the 1000D and won’t be getting rid of it, just ready for a change.
I went with the wrong case mine is to small
How do you like the 1000D? I wanted one because it's so sick but didn't want to spend a thousand on fans. Ended up with a Lian Li o11 XL instead. Still a massive case with 10 fans but nowhere near as overkill as the Corsair 1000.
Lol, the moment jay said he wanted to build something in that case my first thought was that it will take him till retirement to finish xD
I don't think any pc could be bigger than your ego Jay.
If you get the laser cutter you can make the whole case.
MicroPowerPC has very well built small form factor prebuilts that stay nice and cool even with overclocking. Their prices are also better than Digital Storm
I had Digital Storm build me a PC back in April of 2020. Arguably the worst time to purchase a custom build. I will say this: Yes thwir stuff is expensive but I can't complain because my PC is still a thing of beauty and their customer service is awesome. Their guys did a great job helping me determine what I needed and they were extremely easy to work with after I received the machine.
Jays: "i mean who lights the back of their case"
Me looking at my 5000Daf with led strips at the back: "ummmmm"
Definitely agree. Companies like this exist for people that want something "professional quality" without having to do the work. There's tons of independent builders out there that builds for cheaper than companies too. I have a friend that actually builds PC locally for cheap too. These are usually for people that don't want to pay a premium for companies to build it and want something quick and simple.
Do you know how or where to find these independent builders for custom builds? I’ve been looking for one myself.
My god that build. I'm very happy with the back side too. Most SI's will have channels running along the back side of the case but WOW this is great!
Only thing I like about the case is it’s Inverted layout! 😤😤
My EK Strix/TUF 4090 block shipped from Slovenia 12 hours ago - now it's up to DHL to determine when it lands in my hands.
Even if I had the money I couldn't waste my money on it. I can't stand looking at the upside-down motherboard. Especially when you can see the ROG and Hero logo upside-down.
Great build and WOW the internals resemble a Classy car of the 1970s loaded with Chrome! Of course this much metal makes this rig a heavy weight.
I am a super fan and have been for 4-5 yearsish. Not your oldest fan but a good fan nonetheless. I've learned everything from Jay. Alot can happen in 5 years. Lol
I now build and test PC's as a hobby for customers who tell me exactly how their systems are running because I educate them before it goes out the door.
/Jay., why does the pump have to be running so fast? (Honest question)
If water sits in the rad longer doesn't it get cooler? Water moving too fast, can have adverse effects. Contrary to what others think, water picks up heat and puts it down at it's own set speed. It won't change outside ambient temps. It won't let go heat because you said so in a vlog. If you don't understand, I'm sorry but keep reading. A slower pump speed could actually decrease your thermals. A slower speed on the pump just might allow the liquid to do IT'S job. At least You, the owner now knows just (who that CPU) is.
Then increase CPU ( aio or the f ever ).
When the fluid is just flying by the rad, Logic tells me that the water can't pick up or absorb as much as it could because it's just passing by the rad. With heat you gain pressure. How does the AIO, custom build preform at those pressures. It's your build. A cooling solution or anything else that can handle what your able to give it means everything in a custom build. Let that sink in and let the water get some temp. Low temp but you have to let the CPU show it's thermal patterns. Then chill it. That's essentially what you're doing and that's a whole new ball game.
Getting to know the thermals is the first thing I research before I do anything.
Reduce CPU fan speed, ( pump ) and let the heat tell you what to do. ( Something I was waiting for Jay to say. )
Jay, your not a fly by night kind of channel. Put your helmet on an give us what we... need bro.
I love ya so keep up the good work. Do you agree with how I explained that in your experience?
Oh yeah - I'm for exhaust fans, but in general I have a cleaner system when I'm running a bit positive pressure. Keeps dust migration down - less maintenance time blowing the dust out.
Those squeeze bottles are very nice but a good tip I use is fuel line for small engines on the nozzle of the bottle, makes filling basically any build super super easy and spilling is pretty hard.
You know if that pc is taking up to much you can send right my way. Would be an upgrade from what I have now
i don't think i would ever want to go for a build THAT big, but can deny is absolutely gorgeous
Your knuckles will thank you. Building in something this size (1000D myself) was wonderful and I didn't leave small parts of me inside the case.
Tell me, have you ever watched Jay unbox a chunk of a computer while taking a shot of vodka when he says.... What's the ratchet straps for.
I ALMOST CHOKED!
Then laughed my ass off.
The only thing that would bother me is the power connectors for the GPU going in front of those tubes. Would looked a hell of a lot nicer to me if they had a some custom 90 degree cables so they could be routed behind those tubes...
Sheesh that’s a big boy! 😮🔥
This reminds me of the Corsair 7000D Airflow. It's friggen heavy even without components in it.
Too nice for me haha. I'd love to have a weird off-white PC yellowed like only time can, reminds me of the PC at school.

The JayzTwoCents unboxing experience is precious and I will cherish it for the rest of my life.
The reason why you get a custom build is for accountabillity. If I get a $600 gpu and drop it, it's hard to get a replacement.
With a pre-bild, if it doesn't work you send it back for free repairs.
Also some pre-builds are actually cheaper than the part cost.
While the pc is very cool, was hoping the thumbnail and title meant Jay was building a crazy, over budget, overkill, high spec, insane machine from scratch as another signature build.
That one cpu tube not being parallel is bothering me more than it reasonably should
Yep.....we're on the same trip! 😊
I mean, yeah, I can build a PC myself with air cooling and an AIO cooler. Basic stuff as far as of building goes But that digital storm with those cooling loops is on another level .
I just kept imagining Home Improvement sound bits while you were taking the box apart. Maybe a grunt or two lol
I built my first computer back in 1997 when I was 10. You had none of the automatic detection stuff we take for granted. You had to set jumpers on the motherboard to set the CPU front side bus speed and multiplier. If you are not careful your PC goes poof when you turn it on.
one of the funniest videos ive seen in a while and that tells something
Thanks for turning me on to Digital Storm I'm a BIG gamer and have also build many systems but this company goes above and beyond. The AVENTUM X is beyond anything I've ever built. Having one built now. RTX 4090 and Intel Core I9. Funny for the price its less that buying the components and building it yourself. Its a no brainer.
I got one of these cases second hand in this same color and I love this case so much, it was such a cool build
Just as a heads up, I had the EKWB block for the 4090 FE within a week of the 4090 launch. They may be hard to find, but they're def out there. (I pre-ordered it as soon as they went up for sale).
Beautiful system. My only dislike is the MOBO being upside down because the system faces the other direction. But that is just a personal preference. But what a beast of a rig!
Hey Jay. I actually had my 4090 FE waterblock delivered and installed last Monday (11-7-22), from EKWB.
The Thermaltake Tower 900 can fit a 560mm rad. Mine's got a 560 and a 480, I wanted a whisper silent PC.

Maybe someone already said it but, that towel look like a microfiber towel, and has/generate static electricity, be careful !
Absolutely love this channel. The humor and wittiness, the bromance, the latest tech...keep it up!
i've always built my PCs myself, but as I'm looking to do a top of the line, monster box including custom cooling I thought I might pay the premium and get someone else to do it for me, but, Ive seen so many terrible prebuilt reviews I was a bit apprehensive.
This case and build quality though is nuts and after watching this and a couple other similar Digitalstorm build vids, I just might pull the trigger on one of these.
I literally was waiting for the glass panel to fall down and then it did. LOL
bought a digital storm pc about 5 years ago and still runs to this day fine but plan on grabbin another especially after hearing yu worked there
I want to see full-load(CPU+GPU) temps on the metallic piping, i mean they're metal to help absorb and push out heat from the liquid, right? How good are they at doing that, and is there a real benefit to using this over regular old PVC pipes? Would copper be even more effective? What if you had a fan pushing air over the pipes?
If Jay isn't going to do an in-depth temps benchmark, send it to Steve!
I had a bad time with my Digital Storm Aventum. I'd recommend building a system yourself or going elsewhere. Support was pretty bad, hardware as-built overheated constantly and couldn't play modern games for more than 30 mins without shutdowns. >$10k for the computer and >$2k to get things working (threw out their custom water, case, and graphics card after it was clear their support wasn't going to help me). I'm going back to building my own PC's again as I would have had a working system that cost $4k less overall. They look great though. Hope other people have better luck.
Best laugh I've had in AGES - watching you unbox that monster at the beginning of the video :) Thanks I really needed that laugh. Great video as always.
"I always install a drain port"
Yes! Thank you!
That'sy number one complaint with the Dynamic 011, there's no room
I love my Aventum X! I went with the Threadripper Pro 5955WX processor and an RTX 4090 video card. Slightly overkill, but, I'm future proofed for a little while.
I am an *OLD* fart.
Which means I remember computers from the late 1970's and early 1980's. The first computer I ever got to use was a RadioShack Tandy TRS-80 series Model III that had a 2 megahertz Zilog Z80 CPU, 32KB of DRAM and a whopping 2 floppy 5.25" disc drives and a 12 megabyte dual platter hard disc drive and ran LDOS 5.
In 40+ years computers have changed soo much since I was 6 in 1981.
Looking at this thing now and I'm simply reminded of just how old I am,... and how old I feel.
Bought a $10,000 Cryo-TEC system from them back in 10/11 and it ran great for a year, then went absolutely tits up. Crating up that 100lb system and shipping it from TX to CA three times for warranty work was not fun, or cheap. Especially when one of my GTX 580's died and they couldn't get an identical replacement, so my 3x SLI water cooled VGA setup turned into 2x with a 680 on air for physx. :( Never could get the damn thing running right again.
seeing the ad about the Z790 Dark: The Z590 Dark was much more beautiful...or, for me, is, and will be, as I will be buying it soon
