I watch around 10 saxophone channels (beginner on alto sax currently; I mostly watch "Better Sax" and "Get Your Sax Together"), and I really hope you channel takes off. You have a lot of unique tips and a good personality. Look forward to more content!
Reed position on the mouthpiece can also cause squeaks. Sometimes when adjusting the mpc for tone the reed can get pushed out of place so it’s a good idea to check it.
In my saxophone, the lower octave key was not correctly centered over the opening. This sometimes caused a squeak and sometimes a kind of "rumble" (Quin Marry in the harbor) but not as usual with beginners on the low notes (B, B flat) but on the middle notes between G and D.
I have often battled with the absolute lowest notes. After my last gig I realized what was wrong. I had my sax hanging too low and one of the keys was hitting against my thigh instead of opening!

Many thanks! This means a lot for me!

Many thanks for your great tip. I’m sure, that it will help some players, too! Thanks.
Excellent video, very helpful, thanks.
Nice positive video.🙂

Very good comment, thank you. I didn’t know that, yet.
It’s not always the players fault 🎷
Please can you make a video on positioning of the mouth on the saxophone for beginners
I‘ll try if I can manage it before Christmas. I give my best :)
@saxophonespirit Thank you
@@saxophonespirit I second this request! Embouchure is challenging.
tnx for the video

That’s a great comment! Thank you 😊 I think that’s a really nice thing if you figure out „what’s wrong“ by yourself.
