As a European, after all that the West has done to Afghanistan, they still wonder, "Why do they hate us so much?" 😂 It's unbelievable how "innocent" their response is. I want to visit Afghanistan soon too. As a former journalist, I am sick and tired of the Western propaganda, especially towards Muslim countries.
We hate westerns because they started WW1 and WW2 and we are damaged, westerns started the cold war we damaged, they used us as a border, they wanted territory we damaged, they wanted fun we damaged, they separated us for more territory, many ancient buildings are destroyed, they started civil war in our people.
As a former US service member and being deployed to Logar province, FOB Shank, and Bagram, Kandahar , watching these videos makes me very happy knowing how they are recovering and rebuilding their country. Regardless of how western media tries to portray this country, these people are so welcoming and genuine.
As a woman from the uk I have always been led to believe palaces like Afghanistan were the worst of bad bunch of countries to visit, I now realise how much we are made to fear the country and the people. The people who you met seemed so very kind and generous the food looked amazing the Mosque was just breathtakingly beautiful, and I truly hope that one day the people of the western world can visit this beautiful country and bring money into their economy, we have after all tried to destroy this nation and failed as have many other nations. So to the Afghan people I promise I will come to your country and I simply can’t wait 🙏
That’s such a lovely comment to read! Thank you! The minute I stepped into this part of the world, from Pakistan to Bangladesh and now Afghanistan I have had my eyes opened.. it’s been a lovely experience 🥰
While I do respect talking to ordinary people, even from Taliban and understanding their point of view, the Taliban in Afghanistan have systematically restricted the human rights of women and girls and suffocated all aspects of their lives. It's not that Afghani people wouldn't be 'friendly', the food wouldn't be nice, or the architecture wouln't be stunning, it has never been about that. This is all superficial level. It's the fact that Afghani girls and women under Taliban suffer from their education path being cut from 6th grade onwards, they can't any longer take many jobs, if at all, and the suicide rates of women and girls have gone up. Systematic erasure of the rights of girls and women to be equal is not 'cultural', it's entirely strategic and political.
@@av9049-e7l no one is denying what you have said. Refusing career/work opportunities for women and education for girls and women is wrong. The Taliban initially said this was due to security and safety which no believed but they are what they are. It was incombant upon the West to take the initiative and usher they towards developing an open and fair society for all. What did our governments do, they flatly refused to work with. The Taliban government asked the US government for support in reconstruction of the country which they destroyed and they asked for recognition to deal with state matters on local and international level but the US and European governments refused the Taliban request. Afghanistan is under financial embargo just like Cuba because this is what we do to people who don't agree with us or bend over backwards to our demands. So the the Taliban decided to go their own way. This excecebated the suffering of those same women and children you spoke of because in the West we live in a bubble where we think every body around the world should live like how we live that's not how it works. It's always our way or the highway. If the US and European governments engaged them in dialogue there would have been the ample opportunities for the Taliban to change their philosophy. US and European engagement would have helped reduce the suffering of women and girls due to lack work and educational opportunities. We got the hump we because we lost the war. Whether we like it or not the Taliban hold power in Afghanistan and this time no one can depose them if this continues we are just as culpable in the suffering of Afghan women and girls. We can't just blame the Taliban we should force our governments to do more for the people of Afghanistan especially women and girls. By the way the nationality is Afghan the currency is Afghani.
@@AFG.A.PI'm so glad to see your country is safe and improving now very far from what I've seen in the news before during the war. Afghan people are friendly, watching this video I can say that Afghanistan is a beautiful country. God bless us all!🇵🇭
Let's be real we the Pashtuns on both sides lost more, we have sacrificed more, we have suffered more than the invaders, we were made bad guys as how the western media does but in reality we just defended our soil, our women and our children, we were just simple and the world have problem with it, thank you for visiting our country 🖤

Madam, please don't be deceived by the Taliban and their supporters, including on TH-cam, and don't try to show them as good, beautiful, and kind. As a person who is from Afghanistan myself, and I know Afghanistan very well, I tell you that it is not the truth. which you may be able to understand as a foreign tourist on one or two trips to Afghanistan, because on the one hand, the Taliban, due to their need to be recognized by the countries of the world, are trying to behave very well and They should respectfully show a very beautiful and good face to the foreign tourists. On the other hand, people cannot tell the truth in front of the cameras because of the fear of the Taliban, but they say the things that the Taliban want the foreign tourists to hear about Afghanistan. The truth is that the Taliban They are also misogynists, they have officially deprived the women and girls of Afghanistan of all their basic and human rights, including the right to study and work outside the home. They have implemented and continue to implement severe measures against other people who are not of their own ethnicity and tribe, such as the Hazaras, Tajiks, and Vazbeks, especially the Hazaras, who face the most severe form of discrimination, such as canceling the official recognition of their religion. Shia is like kicking them out of the government system that they don't have any right to decide about their destiny and their country, like usurping and forcibly taking their lands, houses and areas in provinces like Uruzgan and Karabagh region from Ghazni province and other provinces. Also, the Taliban and immediately wherever the pro-Taliban Pashtuns falsely filed cases against the land and areas of the Hazaras in the Taliban courts and claimed the lands and areas of the Khans of the people of the Hazara ethnicity because the claimants were Pashtuns and of the Taliban's own ethnicity and tribe. immediately and in a very short time and without any investigation, they handed over the lands and areas of the Hazaras to them without any real documents and forced the Hazaras to leave their homes and areas, and even in the same area of Bamyan and Band Amir For now you have gone and you are there, the overwhelming majority of the population of these areas are Hazaras, and among them there are many people who are literate, they know English very well, they have cars, they are unemployed, and they need a lot of income, but because of organized discrimination The fear and mischief that exists against them cannot be a guide for foreign tourists, even in their own regions, such as Bamyan, Daikundi, and other places, let alone other regions of Afghanistan, and currently your guide is a non-Hazara person, most likely from other regions, and so on. There is also discrimination against other ethnic groups such as Tajiks and Vazbeks, leading to a lesser degree because they have no religious differences with the Taliban despite having ethnic and linguistic differences with the Taliban, while the Hazaras also have a linguistic and ethnic difference with the Taliban and are religiously different as they are Shiites. While the Taliban are Sunnis, please do not try to show a good and beautiful face of the Taliban because you do not know the depth of the tragedy, discrimination, genocide and ethnic cleansing in Afghanistan, because it will oppress the people of Afghanistan.
Please, friends, do not be deceived by the Taliban and do not spread false reports about Afghanistan to the world, because this is injustice and injustice to the people of Afghanistan and help to the tyrant and tyrannical rule of the Taliban. And it is really an example of ethnic apartheid, but people inside Afghanistan cannot tell the truth to foreign TH-camrs for fear of being punished by the Taliban, and they always censor themselves. First, as soon as the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, they canceled the official recognition of their religion, namely the Shia religion, and secondly, they do not have any role for the Hazaras in the political structure of Afghanistan, and they have actually removed them from all high and important government positions, and thirdly, in many They have taken Hazara lands, areas and villages from the Hazara areas under the pretext of private complaints, as well as government lands, etc. All of them are not possible here, and they also do not allow the Shia religion, which is the religion of the majority of Hazaras, to be taught in schools or universities, even in the provinces and regions where the majority of the population is Shia, and also to remove the symbols and historical and political figures of the Hazaras from all regions. It is always going on, and they also consider the documents of Hazara lands and houses in urban areas as invalid, and also regarding the Persian language, which is the language of the majority (60) percent of the people of Afghanistan, the Taliban is trying to erase and destroy it, and the signs of many places that It was written in Farsi language and instead written in Pashto which is their own language, and also most of the media and televisions have closed or limited the Persian language and even the names of the streets and alleys which are in Farsi language or named after one of the characters. I am from Pakistan, and I believe that the people of Afghanistan are truly lovely and kind. Just like everywhere else, there are good and bad individuals. While there may be some who engage in terrorism, it is unfair to label all Afghans as such. Unfortunately, fake propaganda and false information often defame Muslims on the world stage, but I have faith that this will not continue forever. Inshallah.
I agree completely.. and also to say that local people are different to the governments too.. my main reason for travel is always to meet locals.. Afghans didn’t disappoint! Truly lovely people.
Let's not forget Pakistan inherited Durrand line disputed territory of Afghanistan, so since 70s Pakistan has been involved in destruction of Afghanistan till today, if anything Pakistan's help is like the drop of the ocean and Pakistan contribution in destruction of Afghanistan is the ocean itself.

Very impressed that you challenged yourself to visit Afghanistan. It’s a beautiful country and the people have a resilient spirit. To think that only a few years ago this was a war ravaged country with a population suffering the trauma of the torture inflicted upon them, it’s so nice to see them welcoming tourists and engaging with such warmth. We as westerners sometimes forget that their experiences of life have been very different from ours and for most of them each day brings so many struggles to survive. I’m glad you bought the ring. Trade must be quite slow and when only one family member is earning for usually large families they need all the help they can get. Also I think your positivity and warmth rubs of on them. They can see that people in the west don’t hate them. Loving your voyages into the unknown 😉 ❤
I traveled all over the world no one has the manner of Afghan and hospitality In Persian we call it (آداب معاشرت ) Iranian too . Very rich culture and brave men
Wow! This video is so well done and not overly produced like other journalists. Please keep it like this it feels so real like I visited when I never stepped foot! Beautiful country - love from Yemen 🇾🇪

The similarites between Herat, Samarqand and Buhkara are because they were once known as Khorasan, a historical eastern region in the Iranian Plateau between West and Central Asia.
Thanks for proving the whole international media wrong. love all your content dear Carrie. By the way seeing your journey made me think of taking my Australian wife and our son to my beloved country Afghanistan. So thnx.
I am glad you enjoyed this video. I met an Afghan man on the plane into Kabul who was taking his twenty-something son in for the first time from Germany.. it was a pleasure to see!
So beautiful Afghanistan. As pakistani, it warms my heart that there is peace and prosperity in these lands. They have been on the proxy war of West for too long. They deserve peace .

You can see this woman roaming freely in Afghanistan. As far as Afghani Women are considered , they will get their right to freedom eventually.. I am sure about that..
As a Pakistani, it warms my heart to see Afghanistan free of war and invasion. We as their neighbors were aware of their plight and we’ve lost thousands of our own because of it. The hatred I’ve felt against the west for the destruction of our region is beyond words. This is a bloody story that is being revised again now in Palestine as we speak
Opium is the reason Afghanistan has been in turmoil for centuries. The warlords, taliban, Russians, and US all profited from it in recent history. Why else would the west/Pakistan be so interested in this country?
Most welcome to Afghanistan Carrie and let us thank you from the root of our heart for showing the beauties of Afghanistan and the real face of Afghans to the world. We will never forget your visit and introducing our positive sides to the people around the world. Best wishes and stay healthy ❤

I entered Afghanistan after travelling through Greece, turkey and Iran in 1976 on my first trip to India. I recall staying in Herat , where shops were lighted with candles, it felt like entering a world that was still living in the past. On the way back from India, I in 1977 had the opportunity to see the Buddhas , unfortunately blown up by the Taliban. Glad to learn that they do welcome visitors again. I pray for peace, the country has suffered too many wars. But I also pray for freedom and for the rights of women to be respected. Sat Sri Akal, Salam, Shalom, Shanti.
Wow you must have seen Afghanistan in a truly interesting time.. I wish I could peek back. I understand in places like Kabul they dressed totally differently to how they do now.. and to see the Buddhas.. incredible!
@@carriepatsalis yes indeed, I was fortunate to travel to India overland, and back to Europe when it was still possible. It was a complete different Afghanistan then . I travelled by bus from Kabul to Peshawar, in 1976 ( I was 19 years old) and back to Kabul in 1977 through the kiber pass , something I wouldn’t try these days, especially since I converted to Sikhism. I understand most Sikhs have left Afghanistan when the Taliban took over.

The mosque reminds you of the one in Bukhara and Samarkand etc because it was built by the same Dynasty! These were built by the grandkids of Temur who commisioned Bibi Khan and Registan etc in modern day Uzbekistan. This one specifically was built by his grandaughter Gwadar Shad who moved the capital from Samarkand to Herat. Love from Iran to Afghanistan❤

Taliban had killed more than 100 thousands of my people and are extremely conservative group that doesn’t tolerate democracy, individual freedom, equality…. Best regards from a Hazara. Take care of yourself🙏
Look, it is not her job to criticize the Taliban. She is a travel vlogger. She is there to travel and show us the country, not make political statements or try to initiate political change. Why are you putting this burden on her? The United States tried this to initiate some kind of change towards democracy and equality for 20 years but ultimately failed. Carrie can be politically neutral during her travels and that is okay. Being politically neutral is not misinformation. It is simply being neutral and doing her job as a travel vlogger. She does not need to criticize the ruling regime or politics of the countries she visits. She is not an activist and she should not have to be. If you care so much, then you go back to your homeland and initiate change. Or take your sister out to where you live.
Don't worry, the Taliban government is discussing women's equality. About a month ago, our former vice president (Indonesia) came to Afghanistan at the invitation of the Taliban government. Apart from discussing investment, the Taliban government also discussed women's equality in education. What I wonder is, why do you say women are prohibited from going to school when we have seen that women are allowed to go to school?? The Taliban government even opened a girls' school. The Taliban government is opening international relations and is collaborating with regional countries on investment projects. They said that currently European businessmen also want to invest in Afghanistan. Because in the past western entrepreneurs admitted that they had been consumed by western propaganda. I think what you say that the Taliban has killed more than 100 people from your ethnicity is impossible. Are you part of the propagandists too ?? 😅 stop talking bad about the Taliban while the Taliban government is improving the country's situation for the better

Me too.. I feel the same
We hate westerns because they started WW1 and WW2 and we are damaged, westerns started the cold war we damaged, they used us as a border, they wanted territory we damaged, they wanted fun we damaged, they separated us for more territory, many ancient buildings are destroyed, they started civil war in our people.

As a former US service member and being deployed to Logar province, FOB Shank, and Bagram, Kandahar , watching these videos makes me very happy knowing how they are recovering and rebuilding their country. Regardless of how western media tries to portray this country, these people are so welcoming and genuine.
That’s a really lovely comment 🥰

You are probably safe in Afghanistan than the UK. Don't listen to media propaganda.
@@av9049-e7lRead about this ppl you talking about and visit them, then you will know all you said is trash! Unless you are blinded by hate…

All over the world, they try to behave very well and humanely with foreign tourists, especially those who are TH-camrs, and make the face of their sovereignty look beautiful, but they do not behave like that with the people of Afghanistan, and the Taliban are an extremely ethnocentric group, cruel and cruel, and their behavior In front of the people of Afghanistan, especially in front of the ethnic minorities, especially the Hazaras, Tajiks, and Vazbeks, it is completely fascist and racist, especially in front of the Hazaras, who are religiously different from the Taliban and are of the Shiite religion, and it is very cruel and insidious and discriminatory. The Persian language was removed and replaced by Pashto names, which is the language of the Taliban. @@whatyoudoin3125 you are too creepy
I am also an Indian Muslim
Don't target any community based on some people.
There are always good and bad people in every community, so will you blame all communities???
Loving your voyages into the unknown 😉 ❤
how you don't have a million subscribers is baffling to me. this was def one of the most eye opening videos you've made. very enjoyable!
That’s so kind of you! Thank you! 🙏
I traveled all over the world no one has the manner of Afghan and hospitality
In Persian we call it (آداب معاشرت ) Iranian too . Very rich culture and brave men
Very warm welcome to you. I am very glad to see my country, I miss everywhere of that places. So much appreciate for shearing the memories ❤️
Wow! This video is so well done and not overly produced like other journalists. Please keep it like this it feels so real like I visited when I never stepped foot! Beautiful country - love from Yemen 🇾🇪
Thanks so much! That was a lovely comment to read 🥰
Respected madam, After U.S troops withdrawn from afghanistan , people are more welcoming to tourist people like you enjoying afghanistan heritage cultural site & meeting with local people good to see you through your camera & by your beautiful eye 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I don't necessarily think so. People were always welcoming and people were able to travel independently.
They deserve peace .
what a warm welcome there, you will find smiling people everywhere, at least now it has changed your view of Afghanistan, especially for western people, and you said that the Friday mosque is your favorite place, I'm also happy, thank you for the video and I come from Indonesia
It was a pleasure to discover! A big hello to you in Indonesia too 🥰
Love from Bangladesh and Assalam Walaikum to all my Afgan Brothers and Sisters
Walakium Salam
As always a very nice and meaningful video ❤

Afghanistan and pakistan is shithole country
Afghanistan is becoming a great Country . Mashallah ❤
Afghanistan has always been a great country ❤
Especially for the WOMAN....
Without taliban you CAN go anywhere..
How blind you can be...
You can see this woman roaming freely in Afghanistan. As far as Afghani Women are considered , they will get their right to freedom eventually.. I am sure about that..
A great country for men not for woman 😢
so beautiful keep the ring as a remember of Afghan hospitably and tradition🥰
Lots of love ❤❤❤❤❤ from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩❤️

I got really enlightened about Afghanistan. Thanks so much.I really appreciate your time your support and your thoughts.
honest and true vlog without any biases. I love your vlogs ❤😊. You showed the world the real picture of Afghanistan❤🌍
Thank you for visiting our ancient Herat city❤
Afghans are simple people they live simple but they are Nmbr 1 in the 🌍
From outside it looks simple, but is very complecated. All the PHDs of world fell short to undrestand afghanistan.
@@KAR-j4t i am also afghan i know batter about afghan people
@@KAR-j4t -That's because they were viewing Afghanistan through a Western lens.
@@KAR-j4t They’re very brave people, they will be your friends for life even If you stand by them once. ✌️
It’s a terrible story and one I hope changes ❤️
Your prayers are held close to heart - 🇦🇫 Zinda o Abad Islam
Opium is the reason Afghanistan has been in turmoil for centuries. The warlords, taliban, Russians, and US all profited from it in recent history. Why else would the west/Pakistan be so interested in this country?
Pakistan destroyed Afghanistan for dollars. Pakistan is the biggest enemy of Afghanistan right now.
Perrrrfect ❤ thanks for visiting my city and showing our culture 🙏
Superb video thanks for sharing here looking further more
Most welcome to Afghanistan Carrie and let us thank you from the root of our heart for showing the beauties of Afghanistan and the real face of Afghans to the world.
We will never forget your visit and introducing our positive sides to the people around the world.
Best wishes and stay healthy ❤
Enjoy your trip and have a good experience in Afghanistan,❤ watching from Dubai United Arab Emirates
Thank u so much for showing real Afghanistan to the world.
Pleasure 🥰
Ooo woww I am in a video 😮 it’s very nice to see ❤ it was very nice to see you there after a longtime 😊
Hey Saeed!! I still can’t believe I saw you there! 😂😅
@@carriepatsalis it was very nice to meeting you there 😊
this was so lovely, exciting, fascinating and inspiring to watch a woman in Afghanistan travelling. i was quite nervous for you a few times, but your courage and warm personality really come to the forefront when you are engaging *albeit with a guide* with citizens from a very misunderstood country. i do hope women will one day be afforded all the rights of men, and that all children can have the ability to attend school. thank you for sharing your journey!
Thanks for watching.. lets hope life gets easier for them all 🥰
So beautiful, the place and its people. Thank you for sharing this experience ❤
My pleasure 😊
I am a French born British national, got married in Chandigarh i Punjab. My wife is Indian and we are running a 12 acre organic farm in Punjab, near Anandpur sahib.

What a lovely documentary style vlog. You have a great voice for doing voice overs too! I really enjoyed it, felt like a mainstream documentary. Well done!
Many thanks! That’s a lovely compliment to wake to today 🥰
I am very happy and grateful that you want to sincerely come directly to Us as moslems and tell to others about aour activities and real life. And I am a moslem brother in afghanistan, because I am a Moslem from Indonesia. We are brothers in faith to Alloh SWT. Thank you Carrie. GodBless you
My pleasure 🥰
Heart warming video ❤
🥰
Carrie, again, you almost made me cry. I knew deep down in my heart that people of the world are the same, yet, into the fourth decade of my life, I came to the confirmation after watching your videos. Let me say it again, you are so much like us, the Bangladeshis. Keep doing the great things you are doing. Wish your family a very happy life.
Thanks for the informative and lovely tour, without moving out from my home in Karachi.
No drone shots and food this time.
No drone allowed and no food on this video.. but ice cream is coming soon 😂😅
Hey Carrie, hope you are enjoying safely the journey to Afghanistan.
And I’m waiting for your Video from incredible Bamyan.
Absolutely beautiful these people are very good and Islam is a beautiful religion for all mankind. I got emotional watching. ❤
There is alot of good everywhere and now I hope with time they can create an environment that works for all afghans and allows them to be successful
Really? Women are abused and enslaved. So all not peace and love, now is it?
So very good and beautiful for MENkind only. There is beauty but don’t pretend and ignore the atrocities..
thank you so much for showing the real face of afghanistan to the world. my countrymen are really kind, friendly, hospitable.
My pleasure 🥰
The mosque reminds you of the one in Bukhara and Samarkand etc because it was built by the same Dynasty! These were built by the grandkids of Temur who commisioned Bibi Khan and Registan etc in modern day Uzbekistan. This one specifically was built by his grandaughter Gwadar Shad who moved the capital from Samarkand to Herat.
Love from Iran to Afghanistan❤
I can totally see the link.. the crazy thing was walking around there alone rather than with the crowds of Samarkand etc.. unbelievable experience! I would love to visit Iran one day! Love that architecture!
@carriepatsalis u can come and visit iran my friend. Cities like Yaz, neyshpur and isfahan in iran have these kinds of architecture too I don't know f these is a link between all of them or not but they are pretty much similar
Thank you so much for the beautiful video. I wish the western world STOP lying about Afghanistan.
Glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Stunning scenery and incredible people.

True Muslims are incredibly kind and a real pleasure to be around.
Thank you Carrie for showing the beautiful side of Afghanistan and being honest in portraying this beautiful country ❤ all we afghan want is peace in our own country
I don't know why I seen your blogs on my TH-cam feed but I tell you what you have opened my eyes to the hatred our governments and media spread about this country. Thank you. Same with Russia, China and all the other countries they want us to be afraid of.
I am glad you have enjoyed this.. people and politics are two different things.. and whilst I abhor the taliban rules on women, these Taliban guards are not the decision makers.. they are literally like civil servants doing their job of renovation on a building with their own fears in life etc ..often they have no choice which regime they work for
I am watching your youtube channel from london originally from Afghanistan I hope you enjoying your visit to our country enjoy the good weather and hospitality of our people
Please don’t look away from the Talibans cruelty, misogynistic, discrimination…. Behavior and don’t send misinformation about their barbaric actions against, women other ethnicities, religion…. Than what it’s the really in my homeland. My sister forbidden to go to school, works or travel to other provinces alone etc. at least if you don’t say about the reality situation than don’t manipulate Talibans cruelty and what’s actually going on. you are responsible to your conscience. Taliban had killed more than 100 thousands of my people and are extremely conservative group that doesn’t tolerate democracy, individual freedom, equality…. Best regards from a Hazara. Take care of yourself🙏
I talk about what I think needs to change in the next video in particular women
@ghaznavian All the reason👏👏.
stop talking bad about the Taliban while the Taliban government is improving the country's situation for the better
@@robiahhaidar5222 plz u are from Indonesia and you don’t have any idea and information about reality so just 🤫 I’m from Afghanistan and I belong to Hazara ethnicity so I know what I’m saying.
