    Your daughter is adorable. I think it's good you're saying no to her demands to eat sugar. It teaches her boundary-setting.

    I gave up all sugar many many years ago. Everything tastes so much better. Now I can’t stand anything sweet, no sweeter than carrots which I must have for my eyes.

    In three weeks of stopping sugar I went from 137 to 128 to 105. Lost five pounds

    Aww the daughter is cute I’d hate to deny eating something she made. What I would do if it were me is get some veggies and make a tray with those or arrange them into a shape or animal on a plate and let her eat that. 😊

    When you’re trying to eliminate sugar, the best thing that works for me is knowing that I’m feeding the parasites. And then I kind of lose my craving for the sugar. Just a tip that works for me. Thank you Doctor for the videos they’re awesome.

    While on this diet my wife acted like it made her life harder. I just had to tell her, "You guys eat whatever you want. I will take care of myself." The worst time for me was at the three or four day mark... once I got past the first week, it got way easier.... at one point we went to a BBQ where there was corn on the cob. I thoughtlessly grabbed some and took a bite.... it literally tasted like candy! And I said, "This is the sweetest corn I have ever had!" My wife told me, "Really, its okay I guess, but its not that sweet to me."
    Then it hit me, "Crap, I'm not supposed to eat this." I threw it away.

    Hi! I'm a med student currently studying metabolism. Do you know if using vitamin C and taking vyvanse/elvanse around the same time causes vyvanse/elvanse to not work as well/decreases the half-time of dextroamphetamine because vitamin C activates dopamine beeta-hydroxylase so more dopamine is coverted into norepinephrine?
    Sorry for such a random and spesific question...

    • @serenalinn
      @serenalinn ปีที่แล้ว

      I have actually found that to be true. If I eat things with any vitamin C, I can tell a difference. I asked about it, and supposedly, things high in vitamin C are known to cause a problem, and it was suggested that things called "good source of vitamin C" aren't that high, like bananas. When I simply had it with protein, it worked better and faster.
      Another thing I noticed, if I skipped breakfast and took my Vyv on am empty stomach, it felt like I was a bit "wired"... Jittery, too much energy. Once I ate lunch, I would settle down and be able to focus. If I waited until after 2 to eat, it felt like I had just taken my meds, and I wouldn't be able to sleep until 2-4 in the morning.

    There are studies that show keeper blood sugar high is good for ADHD. One with ADHD should slowly sip on a sugary drink. Drink it slowly. Also through a straw to avoid teeth decay. I did this for one day and it seemed to help me stay focused and motivated. I want to know what a thirty day experiment would do to you.

      When my oldest son was younger and in elementary school he was diagnosed with ADHD and some other things. One of his teachers asked me if it was ok to give him a little cup mountain dew. I said sure, why not.....we've tried many things. It actually helped calm him down. Then we put him into sports which also helped immensely.....to the point he didn't need meds anymore.

    Maybe takes steps to steer her away from sugar. Take the bull by the horns, easier to re adjust the taste buds of youngsters. By "no sugar" are you saying you avoided processed foods? OR did you also cease eating hi GI foods fruit, grain etc??

    Sorry, turned the video off right when you said you’re including fruit. I’m not trying to demonize fruits but they are NOT KETO. By all means eat fruit if you want, I’m not saying there’s any problem with that, but it’s NOT SUGAR FREE.

      He didn’t say Keto for thirty days. I assume he’s trying to follow advice from Dr Lustig which would exclude pretty much all sugars except for the ones in fruit and veggies. Also some fruits are keto friendly. I eat blackberries all the time on keto

    Along with sugar, did you also reduce your carbs? Sounds like you need more education on nutrition. Research Keto and what no sugar, low carb, high (good) fat diet can do for your metabolic health.

    this is the most textbook video of what to expect. You are great with condensing/summarizing information. Also, you're a great speaker. However, you are very much lacking in depth. And I'm pretty sure the claim of "your body starts detoxifying" (at 5:17) by quitting sugar is inaccurate as your body does not remove toxins from avoiding sugar.

    Please do not wave your hands all the time about when talking. It is highly distracting from what you are saying. When presenting info you do not need to “ perform” to your audience. It becomes excruciating to watch you. Think of how your president Obama delivered his speeches!

    • @ashleylala4293
      @ashleylala4293 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Do not be duped by his superficial charisma. President Obama was a slick talking psychopath. Hence why he gutted the Smith Mundt Act, essentially legalizing propaganda and now our country is full of idealigically subverted people that have been propagandized into oblivion. Most Americans are completely in the dark about every subject that matters. And the 2 party tyranny continues. Thank you Barrack Obama.
      The hand gestures here are probably likely due to his ADHD, they tend to be very fidgety people who are incapable of sitting still. I know it’s annoying but they usually can’t help it.

    • @enabl3r
      @enabl3r หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly… you clearly don’t get it. He meant doing no added and/or processed sugar. Naturally-occurring sugar is treated much differently by your body with fiber and all the other compounds that are found in fruit.
