That movie literally changed my life. The actors were fantastic, the directing/photography brilliant, the music beautiful. And Keats is also my favorite poet...
I wonder why the movie didn't get as big as possible in the media. It is replete with beauty. The juxtaposition of Keats' poetry with the soundtrack and cinematography is just breathtaking. Ben Whishaw was perfect. I agree with you. I totally fell in love with him, even more than before.
Yes, BW is delightful to listen to - and his diction is so exact. In interviews he likes to give precise and meaningful answers - so he pauses to reflect on what he is saying. For an English actor at such a high level of excellence he has a studiedly "ordinary" voice - down-to-earth and beguiling at the same time. Of course he went to RADA so he is in the best tradition of British theatre studies - I guess that's where he learnt to do the background research he talks about here. Great man.
well I think this was the first time that I even loved to watch the film credits because ben continued softly talking until the very end..great movie, great performances, Im in love with his voice
Ben plays the role of John Keats incredably! I cried when he died, and the passion was very easily seen :) i loved it! and ill definitly be looking for him in more movies.
*Actually, there are various recordings on You-Tube of his reading Keats's poetry, as well as that of other poets--and he is very good at imparting the feelings in the work.*
I love Ben Wishaw... he is a great actor, and a beautifull man... And i love the fact that he is skinny, it suits him :) he is perfect. I love his smile the most :D
his intoxicating voice... why the hell wasn't this film nominated for an Oscar? nonetheless, who needs a piece of metal to show how brilliant this film was? fantastic
Hey I've seen bright star today ... Well I have to say that I cry like a little baby on the end :'( ... How it's possible john could die. I've cryyyyyyy :'(
aaw, Ben. Just SAY it. It's okay. I trust all of your words so you don't have to be so precautious with 'i think' and 'i feel' and 'probably'. Own it, you . . .humble person you!
I've just ordered 'Perfume' Blu-ray online. I can't wait for it to arrive. Apparently, when he'd completed his scenes, Dustin Hoffman said to Ben: "It's over to you now to complete this - and you're making a silent movie!" (Or words to that effect).
I personally love the ability that Ben has to interchange in between his shy, modest, outside character, and into this magnificent act that he portrays in all of his films. Kudos, Ben! Oh, and he has changed in many films to being gay to being straight many times. Don't lose hope guys and girls; he could be bisexual or pansexual! And I rest my case. -ollies back to tumblr-

I love to watch him in movies but I bough this one and I was terribly bored. Actors like this make me respect the profesion because does not seem vain or looking for anything else but to do what he likes and be part of something artistic. and Isnt he cute?
If we talk this way in our country, people call us mad. 😂 and they take away all of our jobs. and make us all so poor that we cannot meet hand to mouth 🫢🤣🤣. So we go to sosurbari to take away all the land and crops
