Yesssss! Transporterzzzzz. Love transporters, specially grey ones, just like mine. Love Caddy's too, but I don't own one at the moment. Had a Caddy Maxi in Raven blue... Great motors. Currently got all my front suspension off my T5.1. Inspired by watching you Nath. Went a little ott as I only had a broken spring, but I've full blown resto with new lower control arms, drop links, ball joints, tie bars, top mounts... bit of sprucing with some rust prevention... Should be enough, but just pulled the drive shafts to swap them out😂😂😂😂. Love the content Nath🤟
Hey David thanks for the feedback with the videos mate 👍 I alway like to make stuff clean and tidy after playing with it, might aswel while your in there 👍 hopefully you get it back together soon bud.
Really nice to see some Transporters back on the channel as yep, that’s what brought me here to begin with. Ngl though, you’ve done a good job of spreading the Caddy love, so I don’t mind them too much at all 😉
Some lovely Transporters there and thank you Nathan for giving us another great video to watch. Top work as always - great job 👍. Have a brilliant weekend mate.
Transporter goodness 😎 Much as my interest is with campers I joined before your main Transporter series, might of been when you collected it and then it waited before you did anymore work on it and you mainly concentrated on the Caddy’s. Such a long time ago and loads of great content. I thought I was the only one that ran the water pump through a relay, most TH-cam channels have all been wired through the switch and to me it makes sense the switch will fail.
Hey bud I’m glad people stick around for the videos, blimey that was a while back glad my videos keep you coming back. I would definitely put a relay in with that little micro switch definitely isn’t going to last long running amps for too long. Thanks again mate 🙏👍
DobTechEngineering 👍 my second name is dobson and I used to make random stuff so my mates would bring something to me broke and say it needs some DobTechEngineering.. I then abbreviated it down to DTE thanks bud 👍
Great line up Nathan nice mix of jobs to boot , and shows how individual a T is , I guess like the caddys loads of individuality. What are the big calipers off ? Did see a mention of ppl using 4 pot 7 series calipers ,
Nathan at 8:24 i heard you mention about a dash conversion i guess its possible, get onit lad! alot of fafing about with the loom to do with the clocks/stereo/heating but you could retro fit,
T5 03-09 electronics are prehistoric compared to the T5.1 and T6 so retrofitting the newer instrument cluster and heating control panel is very difficult unless you are a qualified auto electrician with access to all the wiring diagrams.
Hey bud they are definitely a nice upgrade 👍 I noticed the door cards are slightly different to meet the dash and yes if I did do the swap I’d probably mount the original clocks in the dash to save a headache on wiring in the newer stuff 👍👍
I’ve always thought that with the brake bolts being an odd size not found in standard tool boxes you need to go out of your way to get the correct one, maybe to stop the untrained people from messing about with something that could potentially kill someone if not done correctly. Who doesn’t love a shiny black on black transporter 👌🏻 ah yeh
Hey bud your probably right I definitely had to dig around in the tool box for the correct size, it was still shinney and clean I definitely hadn’t used it much 👍
Evening Nathan, excellent video, are you taking on any welding work at the moment? I have a T5 that needs a new drivers sill fitted and painting to look as close to factory as poss, Many thanks Ant
Another class episode, Any news on the Caddy Pick-Up you showcased some weeks ago ? After the Caddy Maxi has gone can we expect a new winter project leading up to Christmas ? Ah Yeh 👍🏻
Hey bud thank you, caddy pickup is still sat waiting for some love, my buddy has brought it a load of new parts. Yep soon as the maxi is done I will do that next 👍
Just a question a transporter t6..1 high milage well looked after tight going into 1st and second gear ?,someone told me grease the iner drives ,any idea
Don't be cheap, needs. Those brake disc lips machined off if above minimum thickness. In reality, most shops would quote a set of discs & pads to prevent customer comebacks over brake noises. Yes more expensive, but fixed 1st time.
Hi mark, I have 3xl coming this week I’ll add them to the page soon as I get them and I’ll ask the viewers about bigger sizes in another video, thanks bud 👍
that was indeed the reason for joining your channel! But I also love them Caddy's!
Hey bud thank you 👍 I shal make more transporter content to appease you guys 🙏👍
Love a bit of transporter action 👍 but I am biased 🤣 I do like my T5.1, there’s so much that you can do with them!
Hey bud I may do a lot with caddys but I’m definitely a big fan of the transporters to 👍

Hey bud no worries 👍 they wernt to bad just abit bigger than normal brakes to wrestle.
Great line up Nathan nice mix of jobs to boot , and shows how individual a T is , I guess like the caddys loads of individuality. What are the big calipers off ? Did see a mention of ppl using 4 pot 7 series calipers ,

Door cards need replacing the same time as the dash or the doors don’t close

It’s always good to save old cars
Put a bit of copper grease on the pad prongs, helps them seat easier especially with two pistons
I shal bare that in mind for next time bud they was a wiggle to get in 👍
Evening Nathan, excellent video, are you taking on any welding work at the moment? I have a T5 that needs a new drivers sill fitted and painting to look as close to factory as poss,
Many thanks
Ant
Nice vans good work as usual, shame to see the transporters been replaced by a ford transit and lost the styling.
Very much, caddy V has become super boring aswell...
Yeah, I totally agree @appelflapdrol
Black Van Rear lights are THQ lights have sequential indicators have them on mine Look good when on although i cant see them 🤣
Hey Stuart they where very nice, I’m sure the people behind will appreciate them 😆👍

Thise taps i always wire via a relay as the microswitches are low current so can burn out quickly.
Hey bud yes I’ve seen a few burned out now, definitely to much current for such a small switch to handle 👍
Can in the jersey fixed my t5 😂 ahahahah
nice content different with transporter top man where is the pup
Hey bud I will definitely get noodle in a video very soon 👍
If only"All" VW Transporters vans had twin side, sliding doors like Mercedes Vito's 🙏
Interesting comment 👍 thanks bud
@garethjudd5840 They do my t32 has them .
@@TheMase60 unfortunately not all T32s
might be time to invest for a pair of drive up ramps for the extra height to crawl under t5 t6s
Hey bud that’s a good shout, my 2 post lift is to small for the transporters and it’s not much fun rolling about in the floor fixing them 👍
Just a question a transporter t6..1 high milage well looked after tight going into 1st and second gear ?,someone told me grease the iner drives ,any idea

Hey bud yes your right the discs where nice and flat but did have a very small lip that could have been taken off 👍
Hi, can you do the t shirts in larger sizes ie 3xl, 4xl, 5xl?
Hi mark, I have 3xl coming this week I’ll add them to the page soon as I get them and I’ll ask the viewers about bigger sizes in another video, thanks bud 👍
Ah yeh 👍
Is the first grill off a new Range Rover
Hey bud your the second person to say that, I’m not sure but it does look good 👍
hey up mate paul from sheffield south yorkshire just picked up T5 .1 tline ( whateverthat means} what the recomended timing belt change mileage
