    I am Indonesian.
Since I was born, I usually eat rice only with tempe, tahu(tofu), and vegetable soup.
No, not because I am vegan, its just because I am broke haha

not gonna lie though , vegetables here were cheaper than meat .
I'm eating more chickens than meat , because from all kind of meats here it's one of the cheapest.

I'm from India. I haven't eaten a non-veg food and after 6 years of age I just avoided the dairy products as well this is not my choice because I don't like it and I'm 22 now with fine health and fitness. And this saves me a lot of money too. Consider the cost of vegetable in our market and compare it with meat and dairy products it looks expensive right. I haven't chooses the soya milk for diet or alternative to meat. I just skipped it.

It sucks when people say “its easy to be vegan in Bali” when they meant “to be vegan in Canggu”. Its pretty hard to find plant based foods that aren’t located in Canggu / Seminyak and not all of us lives near it, plus the prices are too expensive for everyday meals.

This is misleading video about Bali. The video is about vegan restaurant in Bali. No town in Bali dedicated to vegetarian lifestyle. They sell vegetarian product because tourist demand. You can see in video only western food served not Bali cuisine and overpriced too.
No place in Indonesia have vegetarian culture. The reason because we experienced poor life and forced only to eat vegetables, and we are not got healthy because lack nutritien. After our economy get better, we can purchase meat product. Our health improved and have better national average intelligence than before. We only have cuisine based vegetables but not culture or town.
