I worked for Samsung between the year 2012-18 and made multiple visits to Samsung Headquarters@Korea. The whole campus is truly mind-blowing and almost like a small city inside. They take care of their employees in every aspect. Proud to be part of world's no1 smartphone maker during my journey. It was a great experience in every aspect of it.

Wow! Really! I visited Seoul this year but was not lucky enough to see the factory.
And Samsung provides employees with the highest level of salary and welfare. However, it is also famous for its highest level of work intensity in Korea.
Of course, there are no free lunch in this world. When a company gives you high level of rewards, of course they expect you to do high level of work that is equivalent to the rewards.

I do agree South Korea has been westernised through christian missionaries but it still has got its unique korean identity.
Only Japanese have been able to fiercely guard their culture despite becoming industrial giant. China is actually a crony capitalist country under veneer of communist party.

Samsung is more like an empire, they build huge container ships, skyscrapers (built the tallest Dubai Khalifa), life insurance/financial investment, cars, hospitals, chemicals, aerospace, military defense weapons to tanks and the list keeps going.

As a samsung phone user, I'm proud to watch Samsung HQ campus. Samsung crafts history with innovation and research-based high techs. Could be the busiest office in South Korea.
Samsung invests a lot in its people . If u are a Samsung employee in S. Korea most likely you will be there for your whole business career and feel very proud belonging to this great company.That is one of the main reasons why Samsung is among the leading companies of the 21st century!

I've had a curved 48 inch Samsung TV in my room for 6-7 years now along with a soundbar that came with it. Everything still works perfectly
Alot of people may not know this, but Samsung has a huge chunk of their R&D team that work in Bangalore, India, and they have a huge campus there aswell.

Samsung is the master of all Korean Chaebols. They dont just make electronics, gadgets, n heavy industrial tools, they also have separate military department making C4I equipments for ROK Army (not to mention K9 Thunder, 1st native Self Propelled Gun. They are part of military industrial complex!). They are also largest shipbuilders in the world. 17% of SK economy is Samsung's. Living 5 years in Korea really gave me the true power n image of this company, giving Lee family strong political influence. Its amazing when you realize that this company was originally a tiny general wholesale street vendor.....
to think they also built one half of the Petronas Twin Tower in my country. however, Lee Jae Yong, Samsung's heir apparent, was convicted of corruption charges last year
If an American company was as big as samsung it would have 3.5 trillion USD in revenue a year.

Feeling lucky to have worked for Samsung R&D and visited these places. A world of its own.
My international friend's dad used to work for Samsung, he retired this year. His mom is a housewife, damn they pay well! Both my parents are working but I don't think we can afford their lifestyle.
If you can, can you ask him how I am supposed to apply? And if I need to be inside south Korea to do so.
For those wondering, (this goes with Microsoft as well), Samsung uses MacOS and Apple products because of beta and app testing so they will work well on competing devices. They have to. The vast majority of US customers uses Apple products and the rest of the world uses Android and Windows. It's not that they want to use Macs, they have to so they can better their company and improve on what Apple gets wrong to slowly beat out the competition. Studying Apple's software to get a better understanding on what they are doing right and how they can build on that.

And, that is just Samsung Electronics and there are heaps more mega subsidiaries within Samsung Group in Korea. For example, Samsung Engineering, Samsung Biologics, Samsung SDI, Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine, Samsung C&T (Construction and Technology), Samsung Everland (Hotel, Themepark, Hospitality, and Real Estate business), University (Sungyunkwan University), SMC (Samsung Medical Center), Automotive (in corporation with Renault in Korea), Clothing Apparels (Cheil), ..... and the list goes on and all of them makes millions to billions of profits too. Just incredible.

Gaming Area, is my Fav spot to time pass during breaks,

I was impressed with the Samsung Innovation Museum when we visited last Saturday. Remember if you want to visit during week days then you need to make an online reservation and join a guided tour group. On Saturday you can simply turn up as you wish. It is closed on Sundays

They used to. But currently the armament manufacturer that used to be owned by samsung is now owned by a comapny called Hanwha which is also a Korean conglomerate. Burj khalifa was built by samsung c&t corporation.
