    This episode was Rhea Seehorn(Kim)'s directorial debut and I think she did a spectacular job! I loved the shots you mentioned - the car door shot, the Bill and Jimmy scene on the stairway, the long shot of Gus going through the tunnel. She has a good eye for composition and I really liked her use of natural lighting.
    By the way, the man who asks Jimmy if he's "Salamanca's guy" in the nail salon, Spooge, is the guy who gets his head crushed by the ATM in BB!

    I think you really have something with the Countdown, I haven't seen that theory anywhere else, and the 2 3's works for me (like rolling dice and getting 2 3's, or 2 3's on a domino).
    I guess it's a countdown to Walter White turning up, or something very major like a time jump forward to post Breaking Bad.

    • @highlander31527
      @highlander31527 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think the countdown is how long we have until Kim is gone. There's going to be a falling out between Kim and Jimmy, with Jimmy pointing out how she is becoming like him and how he understands now what his brother meant about poisoning everyone around him, and he is going to push her away into doing the exact thing she made up to lure Clifford Main out for the Howard set up. She'll be helping people, the way she likes, and working for a prestigious company, and away from Saul.
      I am well aware I only called him Saul at the end.
      Because he has to remove Kim from his life before he corrupts her too far.
      And by accepting clients based on his cartel merit, he has finally gone all the way into Saul Goodman.

    one thing that really was cool about this episode was a call back to Breaking Bad when Walt goes over to Gus' house alone and in his mind wants to kill Gus, Walter parks his car across the street its late at night and there are no cars around so Walter feels very safe. As hes walking across the street Tyrese calls Walter and tells "dont" then hangs up.
    i always wondered how exactly they knew Walter was there apart from a tracker on his car but all this security set up with cameras etc explain it

    • @killingmewillnotbringbacky9177
      @killingmewillnotbringbacky9177 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean, Pollos had security cameras on it too. I just assumed Gus had his whole house decked out with security cameras because he's an extremely security-conscious guy. In fact, I always assumed that the house Gus invited Walt and Jesse to was just his "invite house," and I figured he's probably so security-conscious that he has another house he lives in most of the time.

    This is a great and unforgettable season so far, but what I truly love about the story so far are those little callbacks to the first few seasons. Must be intentional, to be reminded of the world of those characters back in the first seasons, and how that world has changed since then for most of them. For example:
    - Some of the stuff in Jimmy’s house in the E1 cold open, like the photo with the Mesa Verde logo, the shoes he used to manipulate poor Irene and the Panavision hat when he used Saul as a business name for the first time, and ofcourse….the Zafiro Añejo bottle stopper
    - The return of the Kettlemans
    - The focus on Cliff Main, and the return of Erin
    - Jimmy dressing up as Howard, again! Remember the billboard?
    - Kim recognizing Mike from the parking booth at the courthouse. You can clearly see Mike reminiscing for a short bit after Kim said that
    - Probably our last visit to the nail salon, and the last time we hear ms. Nguyen saying ‘Cucumber water for customers only’
    And maybe some other stuff I missed. I really hope we see more of that. For example: getting Daniel ‘Pryce’ Wormald and Dr. Caldera back in the picture.

    When Howard says “I did have a dream” I was curious if we would see Howard’s dream due to how it was blurry as we see someone looking like Howard from behind, just walking only to have it be revealed to be Jimmy. He keeps getting closer and closer to the Saul Goodman we know from Breaking Bad. This show has been excellent and it’s sad it’s ending, but I’m sure they’ll end the show in a great way. Great reaction Brandon, have a great weekend!

When they’re talking about how their scam went, it gave me a really happy before something horrible happens vibes. Also given the title, I was half expecting the bicycle riders to get hit by a car, hence Hit and Run. I just thought of this and need to put it out there; since we have word that Jesse and Walt will appear this season, what if at some point Saul gets called to deal with a public masturbator as his client? I remembered that in BB, the first time he shows up, he ended up confusing his cases, and he thought Badger was the public masturbator. From there, Walt goes to his office to pretend to be Badger's uncle. etc. So, the public masturbator mention would be the sign that we are crossing into BB territory. From there, we might never even see Badger and just cut to when Walt and Jesse tie him up and threaten him, and he drops the Ignacio and Lalo line, but initially presented in a way that we don't know that's what's happening, the same way Saul would be experiencing it.
    I don't know, just something I just thought of. Needed to put that somwhere

    The all house and neighbourood of Gus is under surveillance surely 100% of time. This the explanation for Breaking Bad s04e02 when Walter went to Gus's house to kill him but he was stopped by a phone call from Mike saying "Go home, Walter". Mike or anyone of his crew caught him by security cameras.

I’m the trailer for the season they have the clip of his walking into his house, but it’s number 418 because they wanted to add a clue for when it premiered, which was April 18th. One thing i haven't see many people talk about is that when Jimmy get the cold threatment from the others, because he defended Lalo, that's another step into his Saul Goodman self.
    Why does matter who he represents? He got the money and hegot reputation. He got more clients and more money.
    Edit: This now makes more sense why Jesse call him a criminal lawyer, i guess Saul will start to embrace it

    Since Jimmy/Saul was snarky/happy in Breaking Bad I'm thinking Kim dumps him and runs away. I can't imagine her being killed, it wouldn't fit with the way his character acted later on with Walt and Jesse.
