Sometimes you want to say goodbye to your photo app and move elsewhere, that is OK! What other tricks have you used to get all your photos out of your favourite apps?
In Amazon Photos, it doesn't have anywhere near all of my photos in the file folders. It has only 11,000 photos in there and I know I have more than that on my phone right now, and I have years of photos from my phone backed up to Amazon Photo. How do I get all of my photos that are in Amazon Photo downloaded to an EHD please? How do I get all of my photos and videos to show up in the Photos folder in the Amazon desktop app so I can download them please?
If you go to the Amazon Web Browser are all your photos there? If not check the Phone app is backing up, it might need a little kick by opening it and leaving your phone connected to the power. If they are there, check which folder they are in on the desktop app (so are they on a different folder named after an old phone).😊
@@amandalittlecott yes when I go to Amazon Photos on my desktop via Firefox, my photos are all there. When I use the desktop app, my photos are there, but when I go into the files like the video shows, there isn’t a file with my photos in it.
@@kcjd8659 ooo that is weird, do you have no folders at all, or not one for your phone name. I have seen the phone named folder hidden down in another folder, so some digging might be needed.
Well that is a thinker...🤔 No, I haven't. Are you downloading to your computer from Takeout through a browser? My first option would be to change the download location from your computer to an external hard drive; just go to your browser settings and change the location to a hard drive. The only other thing I can think is there a daily download limit from Google, so how much are you trying to get out? I hope that helps 😁
I assume you are trying to see your phone in the folders in Amazon, then double check the auto sync on the phone app is switched on. But if you are trying to see your phone on you PC you will to plug it in like a hard drive, I've tried to use the Samsung computer linking function and it never seems to work properly for me!😊
@@amandalittlecott Yes, phone plugged in, I see Amazon folder, however nothing is there & it will not sync. I've uninstalled reinstalled app, phone / laptop, no go...so...my S10 is last model with micro sd card slot on the sim card tray...SanDisk Extreme 1tb, said phone wouldn't read it, mine is quite happy 👍Volia, all my photos & files !! "Every" phone should be so equipped! So why did they do away with the SD slot you ask?! Upsell of course! 😛Also, as you mention, Samsung Link never worked for me either, bummer! Oh yeah! thank you! and I've subscribed!! I have "hundreds" of photos, yes, the're a mess...I'm working on it 😎!!
Sorry but it is not a good idea to use google take out to download your photos in google photos because it looses all metadata! This is a huge deal. Unfortunately there is no way to do it unless you do it manually... photo by photo, video by video. I have not found a simpler way, sorry.

Agree 😎I can use the micro sd card on my S10, it's just fiddly, so I use google photos and it just works...Amazon should be just as simple, right?

If you are on the web version it is not there, if you get the desktop app you can find the back up option there and add a folder to back up. 😁

Hi. Have you ever had a warning on google that there isn’t enough room to copy when there is plenty of hdd and cloud storage available?

My samsung S10 does not show up anywhere on my windows 11 laptop...never has !?! Why does Amazon make this so difficult? The desktop app is garbage...

Yes any metadata changes you do in Google will not come with it, which is such a pain!
