This was my first Metallica concert. I got very emotional. These legends got me through some tough times. It was a blessing from the Metal Gods themselves to play the songs I hoped for. Orion, The Call of Ktulu, and One. I hope to see them again in Mexico!
Me and my mother fly out TODAY to California for our very first Metallica shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, thank you for sharing your amazing experiences with us and all the wonderful worldwide Metallica Family. God bless you bro
I've seen METALLICA , 22 Times since June 1986, that show with OZZY , it was my First Concert ever after that i became a die-hard \m/etalhead , and They mold me into the person that I am today , I thank that Filipino friend of mine at Mission High School , in their Hometown of San Francisco, California who introduced me to RIDE THE LIGHTNING Album and the rest it's history. I love METALLICA f/E. thx
Great rockumentary and also awesome to finally hear your wife's voice! By the way I'm the Chris that Oldhead is calling out to at the 23:34 mark for those who don't know.
Glad you enjoyed it - some of the guys I work with went to the same show and posted some vids in our company metal slack channel! 🤘Me and my son saw them at Download (UK) earlier in the summer and they were truly excellent - it was my 6th and 7th time seeing them I think it was the second best for me after I first saw them in 93 at MK bowl (UK) So much so I ordered the CDs off their website😂
Great documentary!! Thanks for sharing your M72 experience. Went to the theatre for Sunday night. Also enjoyed a rowdy night with Metallica fans. Peace ☮️
I finally got around to watching this, and it didn’t disappoint! I can’t imagine how long it took to edit. Thanks for taking the time to show me more of my all time favorite band!🤘🏼
OLD HEAD thank you for posting when You went to the Cemetery in ARLINGTON,TX , right? ,You visited the ABBOTT Brothers* , DIMEBAG DARRELL and VINNIE PAUL. That moment, that feeling that i had while watching this Video, it really blew my mind , much RESPECT* ! That was a highlight of this VIDEO, besides everything that was going on , thx again...
Hey S (Old Head) loved this !!! I was watching the live broadcast at a theater here is Chicago. That stadium is massive !!! I like what Mammoth/Wolfgang is doing props to him man !!! Pantera yeah man its a tribute but IDK still mixed about it. I can relate how it bummed you out a bit especially in Vinnie & Dimenag home state. Very cool you went to the grave site to pay respect. Yea Texas heat has been crazy hot. The merch lines have become insane no matter what band you see. So great you got to go and brought us with you. Now I have to wait a whole year for the Chicago show in August of 2024 ...Oh man. Cheers great job !!!!!
The headbanging dude next to you during Battery and One- YES!!! If they do ANYTHING off ST. ANGER on this tour when i see them, you will hear me scream so loud, probably eight states away, and two countries away!!! When i saw them at Download, they were messing around and James was saying 'Don't torture us,' and i was like, 'YES! TORTURE US WITH ST. ANGER!' and everyone was laughing. St. Anger is ONE OF THE GREATEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME IN THE WORLD, OF ANY ALBUM. i will die on that hill. And Leper is my second favorite song off Puppets. When i saw them do that at Download, i went OFF. 'Roam' is also one of the greatest written songs is the musical canon, especially the end of the bridge, 'Carved upon my stone...' That part makes me cry. James Hetfield really is one of music's great lyric writers. i'm so glad you got to go to this show! i know you were really excited about it when they announced it. And your wife is absolutely adorable!
Cool video Old Head ! My husband bought tickets last minute for Metallica in 1999 ( boy I feel old saying that 😂 ) and if you think your seats were high up....let me tell you it could have been worse! Still a great time no matter where you sit !
Great doc! Will be seeing Metallica @ Power Trip and may do some summary reports/photos/vids on my music page as well. Enjoyed your take on Pantera also, I personally can't get into the "reunion" speaking from the point of view of someone who saw them in the past and had a chance to interview Vinnie, etc. R.I.P. bros 🤘 Anyways glad you both had a blast and good to see James and Co. still bringing it!
I saw this tour in Montreal the week before. My 14th and 15th shows. I was in the first level seating for night 1 and then upgraded to floor for night 2. It was great but, even with the no repeat weekend there wasn't much in the way of surprise songs. That may be it for seeing Metallica. Tickets are getting too pricey and I'm not getting any younger. Who knows when there next tour would even be. Maybe a retirement tour in 8 years for the 50th Anniversary. Loved seeing Orion. I don't think that I would see Metallica in a stadium setting again. Glad you enjoyed the show. Always great to see Metallica and it makes me sad to think that may have been it for seeing them live but, who knows.
I was at that concert! It was my first Metallica concert! In fact, it was my first Metal concert! It was awesome seeing so many bands live! FFDP, Pantera, Metallica, Ice Nine Kills, and Mammoth WVH. Hell, that concert got me into Pantera!
Thx U for posting this kick ass Video Thrashmentary and let me tell you , You made my Night ,I know that I can't make it to any of Their Shows right now, so i am enjoying the Shows here on You Tube. i started with the AMSTERDAM Show and so on... this Tour it's amazing and I'm keeping track in my mind of some Songs that They are playing at certain Cities and I know as a Fan , some of those Songs haven't been played as much or that often , it's a huge treat to listen to , right !? thx again...
Being there last year in August at the stadium with Metallica was such a surreal experience 😂 I miss it I hope to see it again soon but I have another concert coming up and it’s megadeth 🤘
Dude, isn’t it fucking beautiful that people leave their drum sticks and picks there out of respect? I can see why anyone would get emotional over that. They’ve reached so many people around the world
The Metallica shows and Rangers game are the first time I've ever gotten nachos like that. Great way to do it, but Jerry Jones loves his money. $58 for 2 mixed drinks and like you said, $18 nachos.
@@OldHead So the concert was going to be LIVE BR release? I mean, that would be cool TBH. But, I know they sell those CDs for shows.... figured it would intrigue you for listening on the go.
I would've went to this but I have a cruise I'm going next month so I didn't have enough money for both lol. I'm glad metallica still sounds great live I saw them in 2019 in Tulsa Oklahoma. Btw I feel your pain with the heat I'm from Oklahoma it's hot as fuck here too.
OKLAHOMA \m/etalheads ! What's happening ! Just wanted to mention that here in the perimeter of the FLORIDA KEYS, we love METALLICA , and saddened that They won't be coming anywhere near South Florida. though some People got lucky and got to see them twice out of the blue in HOLLYWOOD , FLORIDA at the HARD ROCK Cafe and CASINO both times in the Month of November. 2021 and 2022. And I missed them both, common! I have seen METALLICA 22 Times since June 1986 (They were my First concert ever in San Francisco with OZZY let me tell ya , They changed my Life for ever, anyways enjoy the Show , METALLICA for ever #metallica #thrashnica Oh ,Yeah it's Hot as hell down here too. @OldHead Hahaha.. I can't be wrong, and I agree that tribute pantera could be much better, going to see them live in Detroit in Nov. I know zakk isn't gonna change his guitar tone as close to dime, that's making me less excited for pantera.

Pantera kicked ass in Austin and the crowd well that’s Dallas for you. I was looking out for ya Old Head. I was in the cinema here in Sydney, Australia. Fantastic show. It was great even in the cinema.
I’m going to see them in June in Copenhagen and I’m SO EXCITED!
I was there both nights Friday & Sunday. Great Concert!!
Had an absolute blast 3 weeks ago. They sound so fn good it’s ridiculous 🤘🔥🖤💛
I was at this same show. Right by you. I remember your hat. I was in section 429 🤘🏻🤘🏻

The dude head banging beside you on the second night was a highlight from most others pointing their phones at the stage or just walking around. 🤘🤘
Some Scientists have described this as : \m/etal !!! Love METALLICA f/E
It's always a good time when Old Head uploads

Best Rockumentary I’ve seen since This is Spinal Tap.. was worried you might spontaneously combust after eating those Nachos!

I’ve only seen Metallica once in Cleveland Ohio. I was about as far away as you were. Checked a big item off my bucket list that day! 🤘
Really cool rockumentary! I really enjoyed it. Looked like an awesome weekend.
ABSOLFUKINLUTLY BRILLIANT!!!! LOVE YOU OLD HEAD!!!🤘 LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT VIDEO!!

Great video as always. Seems like awesome shows. If you would compare night 2 even better than the first? Good that you both had a blast. 🤘
I think I enjoyed night 1 more but night 2 was still killer.
I remember the long walks from the parking lot and the damn heat was 113-115 😂

Crowd participation was better in AZ for Pantera which is wild Texas didn’t show up for the boys
Glad you Two could go Tough these days going to BIG Shows

So, are you getting the "live" CD they offer for every show? I guess, technically, it would be 3 CDs, since you did the entire weekend set.
Since this was broadcast live, I’m gonna wait to see if it ends up on Blu-ray.

Killer. I subbed up.
Was a Bad ass concert I was there Friday and thought Pantera was great and Metallica too. I got off work late and missed WGVH though ...
Seen them at Metlife Stadium(NJ) and it also was a bitch getting out of the parking lot. Took me 2 hours each night to get home
i didnt knew mark morton makes vlog.
That’s very funny considering I was mistaken for Mark Morton at a Metallica gig in 2009.
