That is a very interesting question! As far as I am aware, you would only be able to redact specific numbers, not unspecified numbers after the word "count." If I stumble upon a solution, I will be sure to publish something about it. Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for watching! Unfortunately I don't know why your Apply button is grayed out. There are several threads on the Adobe Support Community mentioning this issue, so it seems to be a widespread concern. Here is one example: community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/trouble-redacting-grayed-out-document-after-choosing-quot-apply-quot/td-p/11309142. I do hope you are able to find a solution!
Hello, I followed the instructions but I was not not able to redact. The apply button remained greyed out. I made a copy of the PDF but the problem remained. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the redaction tool. I can't be certain what is causing the problem, but my best guess is a security setting is preventing the PDF from being changed. You can check your security settings by going to File > Properties. Best of luck!
All the steps shown in this video are listed on my blog at erinwrightwriting.com/redact-pdfs-with-adobe-acrobat-pro/

Is there any way to Auto select the highlighted part in Pdf and redact them, as of now we have to do that manually ?
Is the Redact Tool available in Acrobat X Pro? I couldn't find it.

Can you search and mark for redaction after a space for example: “count 12345” can I search for the word count but redact only the numbers? Thanks!

Great tutorial, thank you, madam. I only have Acrobat Pro 10 or 11, so I am out of luck for these new features, regretfully.
Well, you will be ready when the time comes to upgrade. Thank you for watching!
