July 2022 - Thank you so much for this video, this helped me with my office project. Just didn't know how to add numbers and came right to your video. thanks
Thank you for watching! Unfortunately I can't be sure why your font size option is missing. If you are using a current version of Adobe Acrobat, consider contacting Adobe support. Perhaps they can determine if your software is corrupt. Best of luck!
Thank you for the great topic suggestion! I will do some research and create a tutorial if I can develop a workable solution. I wish you all the best with your PDF projects!
I have been binge-watching your PDF videos today. I need to create a PDF and want to take out some properties such as the desktop creation location that shows the name of my computer. Is that possible? I am still using the free version for now until I get these tutorials down, but will be purchasing the DC pro version when ready. Thanks for your help.
Thank you so much for watching! Can you provide a bit more information about where the name of your desktop is appearing? Is it in the metadata under File > Properties?
@@RockyTuxedoFBI I don't think Acrobat provides a way to pinpoint just the desktop name. However, Acrobat DC will let you remove all user data by going to File > Save as Other > Optimize PDF > and then check "Discard User Data." Then, follow your normal saving process to save the optimized PDF. Another option may be to go to File > Properties > Additional Metadata to see if you can identify how that information is being inserted. Best of luck!
@@erinwrightwriting Hi.. While fooling around, I did find out how to do it. It's under -->Edit -> Preferences>Identity. That is where it has the small tag from the name of my computer. Also as you know, I don't have the pro, so that is cool. Take care.
@@erinwrightwriting Actually, I was wrong. I thought as I saw it, that I could modify it, but it doesn't let me. I will just use your way once the pro is purchased. Thanks for getting back to me!
Thank you for watching! I have a full tutorial on this topic coming up, but here are the basic steps to insert page numbers on specific pages: Select Tools > Edit PDF > Header & Footer > Add > Page Number and Date Format > [set your starting number] > OK > Page Range Options > [set your pages from] > OK. Best of luck!
Great question! If you are using a desktop version of Acrobat to add page numbers to a local PDF, you shouldn't have to be online. If you are working on a file stored remotely (e.g., cloud storage), you will have to be online to save the new page numbers. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for watching! Adobe doesn't offer a free version of Acrobat. However, if you check the Adobe website, they sometimes offer free trials. In addition, there are some freeware apps which you can find online; however, you may have to experiment a bit because they vary in quality. Best of luck!

is there a way to page footers im using Roman S font and it come up so light on pdf and my companies standards only uses that font. we found a way to bold text sheet by sheet but some of our dwgs be 60 + sheets please help if you can thanks
Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, I haven't worked out how to make the page numbers bold using a non-bold font. However, your company may want to consider purchasing the bold version of the Romans font and then selecting that from the Update Header & Footer dialog box. Best of luck!
I print receipts and tickets. I want to number multiple tickets on one page eg 8 tickets from 1-8 like we do in corel and other design programes. Is it possible with pdf? Thank you for your help.
That is a very interesting question! I am not aware of a way to add multiple page numbers to the same page in Acrobat. However, after adding your receipts and tickets to the page, you could manually add a text box with the number under each one. Best of luck!
That is an interesting question! I'm not currently aware of a way to automatically add page numbers only on pages with content. If I find a solution, I will be sure to create a tutorial on that topic. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for watching! I don't have a link for a free download of Acrobat. However, if you go to Adobe's official website, they often offer free trials of their software. Best of luck!
Hi, I’m running into an issue where I have headers and footers created in word and when I convert to PDF and add the page numbers my header and footer that I still need disappear. Is there a way to fix this?
Thank you for watching! I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue. Are you selecting "Add New" rather than "Replace Existing" in the the dialog box that appears after selecting the Header & Footer button?
Yes, I’ve selected add a new footer but it got rid of all the headers and footers from the document that I had created in word. I’ve never had this issue before.
@@GabrielaHernandez-ng5fr That is frustrating! Unfortunately I don't have a solution. I do hope you will report the issue to Adobe, as it might be a glitch. I wish you all the best!
Thank you for watching my video. Unfortunately, there is currently no built-in method for converting page numbers to roman numerals in Acrobat. This has been an on-going "bug" since at least 2017, as shown in this thread: acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/18813151-roman-numerals-page-labels-in-headers. I hope Adobe adds this option in the future. Best of luck!
