Is sanitizing now relevant step to redact in docs such as disc? You left it out since it is new to Pro but is it a final step in assuring redaction done properly?
I only have two options in the middle with the redact tool. How do I get the other options? Also, I have three pdfs which won’t allow me to apply, it is grayed out.
Yes in Adobe Acrobat pro you can use the Find and Redact command to search for specified words as well as text patterns such as social security numbers.
Not entirely true. If you add the black rectangle boxes and PRINT the PDF file as an image file and/or remove all metadata tags the redacted areas will not display in layers. Not even on illustrator or photoshop. You just have to know what your doing. Plus, you can set encryption and passwords on the pdf file too.

You can get the free trial to redact. Besides, if you need to redact as a layer, you have adobe pro in every case.

Seems redaction should be it's own process, separate from other edits, done late in the process.
