Do you know what else could cause the trimmer to not rewind? I have a new puller and the pawl looks good on mine but it still doesn’t want to rewind. I also replaced the piston and cylinder.

Couldn’t you put a pipe wrench or vise grips on the bottom where the wacking gets done to keep it from turning or if you have an extra set of hands have them hold it?not trying to be a smart ass just wondering.hey also while that’s off you could try starting it with a drill too,I don’t know about yours but mine is a bear to pull the cord

Mine still won't start. Sometimes the pull cable has no resistance during pulling. What could be the problem?
Yes, the cable housing & pawl have been replaced. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
