Before the air raid offense spread like wildfire across the football world, it was the experimental creation of Hal Mumme at Iowa Wesleyan. Mumme worked with Mike Leach to create an attack that transformed how many people view offense.
On this episode of “Conversations with Coach,” Bob Stoops and Mumme reminisce about Leach, his influence on modern offense, how Leach became the Sooners’ offensive coordinator in 2000 and his induction into the Texas Tech ring of honor.

You can get a more in depth summary of “The Trip” down to Key West in that book.
I’m glad to see Hal Mumme on this show. A person can really tell just how much Mike Leach loved this man.
I sure miss having the colorful commentary he never failed to deliver.
