- Coach Bob Stoops is joined by Fox Sports analyst and former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Joel Klatt on this episode of Conversations with Coach. The two former Fox Sports colleagues reflect on working with legendary broadcaster Gus Johnson, as well as the 2004 Big 12 Championship game between Stoops’ Sooners and Klatt’s Buffaloes. Klatt also gives his view of the rise of Coach Prime from the perspective of a CU alum.

Joel Klatt, the honorary Sooner!!
Absolutely not, Klatt to in love with USC and TBOW.
@@mark_a_vigil that's fair, but he was the first national BV defender as well.
@@CXBrock that's like when your girlfriend/wife gives you a compliment then says "but" and then proceeds to tell you something lovingly.
How so? You can't bleed black and gold and be a Sooner. Your probably too young to remember that Colorado and Oklahoma were real rivals from about 1986 to 2011, and being in the same conference, played each other for many years before that.
But if you've listened to him over the years, it's pretty clear that he has a deep respect for OU.
Joel klatt and bob stoops 2 legends
Klatt is such a likable guy. The stories he shared were hilarious. He’s gotta be one of the easiest guys to interview because he’s so personable.
“I’ll be here all day.”
“Me too!” 😂
I really like this show. Great interview
This is so awesome I almost don’t believe it’s happening.
Joel is right about Gus, you can tell he really does love these players and the game, and wants to see them do well- and that is contagious. He’s a good dude, and you can tell. More should be like him.
Eh, the guy tried to redeem urban meyer at the end of the 2018 season, and then said that Penn State winning the CONF CHAMP in 2016 was "closure."
I'm going to disagree with you on him being a "good guy".
I watched him twice live in Norman 02 & 2002 Big12 Championship in Houston..OU kicked ass both games 😎😎😎😎
Love Joel, great interview!
Loved the interview..
Would've loved a whole hour of it.
Thank you klatt for being honest., proud of you
They are two very very class men in their respective fields. Interesting stories good to learn about the human side of these athletes.
What a great show!
Thanks coach!
I laughed so hard at Joel’s “Danimal” story I think I woke the neighbors up! Joel is maybe my favorite sportscaster alive. He’s a class act. Kudos to the Fox executive that saved his soul and kept him out of investment banking😂😂😂
Tell Gus we have another “Mr Anderson!!!!” On the team
Yes!!! That "Mr. ANDERSON" is iconic. And most people probably don't even know what it means.
@@conservachick100Then they better check out Rodney Anderson so they can figure it out
Bob! ❤❤❤
I was at that Big12 championship game at arrow head stadium I think sitting in the 4th row in one of the end zones and it was so cold that I wished I was anywhere else besides there lol
Really wish the Red River Shootout was a Fox game this year. I have a feeling something special is going to happen and Joel is the one broadcaster that would really get it.
Class guy!
Famous 1941, movie! Hoolywooooood!!!!
Hollywood BROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love that game.
Dan Cody is still scary looking, seen him not long ago in Ada, Ok wearing overalls and no shirt lol
Stoooooooops!
My guys!
BOOMER!😎
I just wanna know what Joel and Jason said to each other after that Big 12 championship game
Any chance you interview LINCOLN?
Oh noooo
*PromoSM*
Okay Bob if you like him, I'll at least be cordial. I may or may not be sorry Joel if I have ever been critical of you.
John Hessler was the better CU QB, who never got a chance…hit while riding a bicycle.
Stoops sounds so awkward. Still one of the best coaches though
