    is it possible to backup your music files as well on an iphone on this device? reason i ask is very few times have i ever bought a song on itunes which would be a bit easier to recover but they are way overpriced. i have years of music i have added to phone over the years i'm concerned one day i may lose. i do a full backup periodically (every few months) to a computer that is getting really old and i have been a bit afraid and it appears to be a bit complicated to begin backing up to another computer without losing a bunch of stuff. been looking for an alternative method to do a full backup of phone for a while now, just in case phone bricks or gets destroyed. prefer not to pay monthly for icloud or any other cloud service as well honestly. If anyone has any ideas i'd greatly appreciate any help

      @@holycrapski I have something like that setup but I was more interested in the autobackup features that an app would have, so that photos/videos/documents would be automatically backed up from our phones to the storage each time we were in the local wifi network without all the drag and drop stuff, if you know what I mean.

      Its extremely slow, in everything, transfer files, search for files, indexing files. The user interface is useless, there are very limited extensions, u cant connect it directly to a pc, using e.g. usb port. The support is incompetent, there are no updates anylonger. The password cannot be set to be more than 8 characters, symbols are not supported, hence the security is crap. These are just what I can remember on the top of my head.

      Cheap? The communication corporations are getting more greedy. They stopped using sd cards in devices and are limiting choices to save data to buying cloud storage for monthly fees. Phones, email, security cameras, and everything else adds up to outlandish costs.
      What makes this an awful idea??

    • @Y0UTUBEADMIN
      @Y0UTUBEADMIN ปีที่แล้ว

      there are many reasons why on-prem storage is not the best choice for home use compared to cloud storage:
      Redundancy: Cloud storage providers generally offer redundancy, meaning your data is stored in multiple locations to ensure it's safe and accessible even if one data center experiences an issue. With on-prem storage, you'll need to invest in additional hardware and perform regular backups to achieve similar redundancy, which could be time-consuming and costly.
      Scalability: Cloud storage allows you to easily increase or decrease your storage capacity as your needs change. On-prem storage, on the other hand, requires you to purchase and install additional hardware if you need more space, which can be both costly and cumbersome.
      Maintenance: Cloud storage providers handle all the maintenance, updates, and security for their servers. With on-prem storage, you'll need to invest time and effort in maintaining and updating your system to ensure it remains secure and up-to-date.
      Accessibility: Cloud storage can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, making it easy to access and share your files across devices. On-prem storage, however, is typically accessible only within your local network, limiting your ability to easily access your data when you're away from home.
      Disaster recovery: In the event of a natural disaster or hardware failure, cloud storage providers usually have measures in place to ensure minimal data loss and quick recovery. With on-prem storage, you'll need to invest in additional backup systems and develop your own disaster recovery plan, which can be complex and time-consuming
