On a 30 series sidewall 🤭 Working at a Honda dealership and with Honda a few months ago pushing incredible lease deals on the type-r. And treating it as a base model civic with fast food bags on the floor sticky spill residue everywhere. The beautiful recaros turned brown/black. Just sad to see what happened and is happening to cars like the type r and rs/ ST
I know right. As expected! The GTI/R is never told of in videos like this, because they’re so much “quieter” of a car. But yet, the MK7/7.5 GTI/R, with the same mods, will completely obliterate a Focus RS, CTR, or Speed3.

I love my '17 Shadow Black. Tuned with intercooler and wastegate actuator. Crab walks unless I run Cup 2s that are fresh and sticky. A serious love affair I have with that car.
The focus rs is the best car I’ve ever bought 💙 it’s definitely the most fun I’ve ever had in a car
@@NetomaMusic I used to have an STI...
@@NetomaMusic yeah totally agree ! I’m a car fan but the RS was always the car I wanted from growing up so it makes it that much more special ..
@@NetomaMusic the turning circle is shit hahaha !!! But the handling is the best 🤩 nothing’s perfect
@@michaelhesford5191 Put it in drift mode to parallel park it. It makes it so much easier.
Hahaha! @@thomas7514
Love the focus RS 👍👍👍
Jumped my Mazdaspeed 3 one time on accident, was definitely fun😂
Me too😊
Love this channel man
Bro I love my white 17’ Focus RS can’t wait to get it in the snow this winter as it will be my first winter with it want to try out that drift mode without eating my tires. Lol love the video
Of course much love to Ford and Ford engineering in relation to the focus RS in the development team behind it. I have a 2016 stealth gray with some newer Michelin performance summer tires on it with a few BoulTawns if you will list is a little long to say besides a wastegate actuator and what not. But all in all as far as passion in spirit of driving I wouldn’t have it any other way I love this car it’s very special kind of like the Shelby GT 350 it’s one of kind.... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice, I'm here early for once. Big Turbo, Let's Go!
Need a mazdaspeed 6 on the channel!! It'd be cool to see how it compares to the mazdaspeed 3 vs the focus rs
I love my focus RS, I just have a few bolt ones but I think for what the car is it’s great. It’s not the fastest but it gets the job done!
yeah, i've got a '16 ST2, couple bolts on and its not a hp monster, but taking it through the canyons and daily driving it are still such a joy to do every day.
I love his choice of wheel and tire size. Fits the car so well. Unlike a stock type-r with 20’s!! On a 30 series sidewall 🤭
Working at a Honda dealership and with Honda a few months ago pushing incredible lease deals on the type-r. I see a lot of the ‘wrong’ kinda owners for a vehicle like that that end up bending or cracking wheels. Not to mention obliterating the carbon front splitter. And treating it as a base model civic with fast food bags on the floor sticky spill residue everywhere. The beautiful recaros turned brown/black. Just sad to see what happened and is happening to cars like the type r and rs/ ST
Idk if I missed it, but what is the wheel and tire setup on this car? They are perfect
This is why i love my focus rs. It is such a blast to drive and you get lots of looks.
Got a 2016 being delivered next weekend, and can’t wait!
This man only completely left out the Golf R for AWD hatches man lol.
I know right. As expected! The GTI/R is never told of in videos like this, because they’re so much “quieter” of a car. But yet, the MK7/7.5 GTI/R, with the same mods, will completely obliterate a Focus RS, CTR, or Speed3.
If you have one keep it! I'm a lsx guy but my buddy had one and let me drive it and his st they are awesome cars.
That steering wheel is the size of rhode island.
It looks like it’s 15 years old, that leather peel…
Focus rs is my dream attainable car
Going to get one this year! Need something new, awd, turbo, small, cute but sick asf! This is the car for sure! 30 for 50k miles is very high but I'm sure I can find something mid 20s for sure!
Gotta blame the dealers for the poor sales of these things. I had one sit at my local dealership for 2 YEARS and it's sticker was 40k marked up to 55k. I offered 36k all in. They said they'd take $500 off the sticker. I walked out
Unpopular opinion - your friend made the right choice with those rims and tires.
Love the ST and RS great cars. I think Ford made a big mistake in only selling them in other markets now. I think they got rid of them because of the transmission issues on the standard Focus and Fiesta autos. Keep up the great videos!
Mike Schafer don’t get them in uk anymore this is the last year due to emissions
@@spadeeywadey2410 Governments have lost their collective minds.
What transmission issues?
Also they are not available in any country anymore as if 2018!
They stopped production in September of 2018.
Only 50 Heritage Editions and 2 RS50’s were made after than for the U.K. only.
@@LukeBeasto you are correct, but I just read that 3 RS50's EVOs were made.. and at 85k I'm not sure that I would have it on my buy list..
Mountune also does a m520 kit that I would be more interested in if I was to go that $$$ route! (Shmee has it on his RS)
I miss my ST , 380 hp 420 tq.... it was very very fun. But traded it for my used tundra truck. And then my wife..... my Wife convinced me to buy a 06 mustang s281 supercharged. It being my first ever v8 muscle car..... my goodness do I love American muscle now.
Ps..... my wife is a pita but I love her 👍🇺🇸
David I believe you mean to say gouging not gauging regarding dealer markups. Like an eye gouge versus a wire gauge. Anyways love the videos and keep up the good work!
hi David. nice vid. liked b4 watching because i knew it was goin to b good
What is the Name and Model number of the Bigger Turbo? How much is it?
I have a 17 Black RS...it's stock mostly.
It would be the Precision NX2. Specially made for the RS and has a turbosmart wastegate actuator that goes with it
Now we got Mustang mach 1 electric SUV and I think the next one gonna be Boss 302 laguna seca GT Ecosport Van. Thanks Ford!
Planning on scooping a limited 2018 model. They didnt make many of them for the US.
What's the rim and tire setup on the car?
would still want to know what it is
Fun fact the 2.3 turbo in the MS3 was made by ford as well.
dominic green Nope, it wasn’t. It was a Mazda design. The current 2.0L and 2.3L EcoBoosts are based on the 2.0L Duratec which itself is a Mazda L-series(MZR). The 2.3L MZR-DISI in the MS6, MS3, and CX-7 was based on the 2.3L MZR.
@@83FB7 Well I can %100 tell you on my old 09 ms3 had fomoco stamped all over that block.
@@dominicgreen115 There’s lots of shared parts to reduce production cost.
@@83FB7 Imagine my dismay when I went to install a downpipe and saw ford on my block. I was mildly upset. lol
This is my dream car and I'm so sad that I couldn't afford it before they discontinued it. Now that I can afford it, I cant find one with low miles :(
They are out there, check out the focus rs classifieds on Facebook.
Yooooo that’s sick!
ikr
This is my dream car always have been since the mark 2 focus RS I’ve always wanted this car and wide body it 😩😩
“Oh it’s that dude in blue” 😅😊😮
Which upgrade turbo did he use?
Absolutely beautiful car man.
I loved the recaro seats tbh ,but then again I sleep on a hard mattress
Such a good video as always dude! Sorry TH-cam's algo hit weird on this one :/
3rd gear in the rs is NICE the wife and I own one it’s almost fbo then big turbski and fuel shooting for around 400-450whp trying to keep it looking at stock as possible, but to have a rs that smokes most
Found a 2017 RS for $36k now in 2022. I figured it’s a classic and the fastest AWD hatch you can buy (rip STI AND EVO). but now the Toyota GR came out but that’ll be the new $60k car in the dealerships. I might actually keep this car. I hate the torque steer. Only thing would make it better is the subie awd system imo. Let’s keep fun cars alive!
I feel sorry for the US not getting the T5 2nd gen rs.
Yup!! I see all these videos of it out of the UK. I would definitely have one if they were offered in the US. The 5 cylinders sound incredible.
You said the older American muscle cars don't do as well in videos. But I watch this video over your more target audience and it looks like there's much more effort and excitement put into this video then the previous older American Muscle cars. Maybe im wrong but I'm sure somebody will agree with me. I don't feel like there was the same level of excitement and effort put into those videos then this video.
I enjoyed my frozen white RS for a couple yrs. The problem was the leaks that occurred after the HG recall.
That's not why the got rid of then they only did a limited run because they had to cut down on emissions
I'd be mad as hell if I went big turbo and only made 400hp
I have a NB RS and I like the fitment what wheels and tires are those
Planning on getting a Focus ST in about a year or so. Thinking about taking a Higher payment and getting a Focus RS instead. 🤔
Still have my 2018 st and I love it to bits, but i’m now trying to get into an rs because I’d love the awd and better top end pull
@@RSKev The AWD is definitely a big draw for me. Been a Focus guy since I got my License. Pretty excited to get into a newer one!!
CHADMUSKA64 i’m in the st because I got it for such an awesome deal, so depending on your funds and the condition of the car, you won’t be disappointed if you end up in an st, but if you can squeeze an rs go for it!
always loved the RS, but you could get a used z06, shelby, or even older zr1 for the same amount invested in this car
It depends where you living. I'm surrounded by twisty roads and cannot dream a better car for the price!
@@Guillaume0688 I live in the Georgia mountains and love curvy roads. There is no way a focus has a chance at keeping up with a corvette in the twistys, thats exactly why I love corvettes. I think the RS is a cool project but the price is just awful
That's your opinion 😊
@@Guillaume0688 well, no it's not. Unless you're talking about pro rally focuses or track cars a focus will never keep up with a corvette in the turns, even a corvette from the 90s. That's just a fact, no opinion at all.
That steering wheel nasty looking though 🤢 lol
Nothing a little leather cleaner can't fix. I used to work in valet, you tend to see some greasy steering wheels lol. Straight to hand washing
It’s actually a big problem with the RS steering wheels.
gloves
I am simple I see vid about a focus I hit like!
What size wheels and tiers is it running
I got a 13 veloster turbo and i am planning on doing a big turbo swap whenever I eventually blow my stock turbo, hopin to end up pushing about 400-500 hp if a focus rs can do it I believe my lil veloster can easily 👌🏼
Kinda wanna give some hate rn but I guess I respect it
You’d have to fully build your motor or swap it to even attempt that
notasin gaming that’s the plan boss, working on finding all the parts I need, looking to build the motor later but i think I can get away with doing a completely new fuel system(injectors and pump), a tune and a few things here and there and it “should” be good
You might just wanna trade in for the '19 veloster N
jung kim ya know I’ve heard that a lot and i really really don’t like the look of them, they just don’t look quite as good as the older gen one’s tbh
Final thought: this is a good auction car
I currently have a 2011 Mazdaspeed3. How is the Focus RS 2.3 engine different from my Mazda?
I went from a big turbo Fiesta to the 2020 Type R and I really liked the upgrade but I still really miss the rowdy-ness of the Fiesta. More raw of a driving experience tbh.
What kind of wheel setup is that? It looks so clean, wanna get it for mine
Im not a Ford fan by any means, but this one is pretty sweet
