    Hey Jeff! I just want to say the thing I enjoy most about your vids is not the pinned rides, but your riding style. Manualing in and out of corners and berms, hoping every oportunity you can, your "hohoho" moments... so don't bother about how fast you're going, just enjoy all rides how you do and we will be able to enjoy them with you! Thanks for the content and have a nice day!

    Thanks for posting- I don't always need to see you in top speed! I'm able to get out on the local trails, but there are many who are stuck in cities or are far from trails, and your daily rides are their daily rides. I enjoy settling in for the evening to see what beautiful trail you are exploring.

      @@JeffKendallWeed .... That sums it up well. It's self expecations. 99% or more of the MTB population couldn't complete those turns at that speed, much less boost and clear the jumps with the lack of speed from the slick conditions. Years ago I was a top am golfer. I expected a lot from myself, and would hit a wedge to 15 feet and be mad. An old timer took me aside one time in a charity event, and politely said, "You look like an ass when you do that, because most people would love to just be able to hit the green. You're out here showing your ass when you mishit a drive that goes further than the other players' best drives of their lives. Keep things in perspective." I didn't mean anything by it, I just expected more of myself. You ride at a top 1% level, so even when you aren't at your best, it's still better than almost eveyone else. But I 100% get it...it's hard to flip the switch!

  • @martinl.4696
    @martinl.4696 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Whether or not people will watch and enjoy your video has nothing to do with how well you ride. It's about how interesting your rides are.

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Martin- though I was kinda surprised to read that, as the last thing I'm thinking about when GoProing these rides is if they'll ever see a lot of views or will be fun to watch. These are such total vlogs, literally just snapshots of reality. I should really start a separate channel for htese

    • @martinl.4696
      @martinl.4696 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeffKendallWeed I wouldn't say they warrant a separate channel, a playlist maybe. The other thing to consider is that everybody has different interests. Some people do like watching others who ride well, like the guy asking for advice on turning. Others might want some kind of story with commentary. For me, I just like watching where you're riding. Being from Iowa, I dream of riding in the kinds of places that you do.
      Rather than trying to appeal to everyone's interests, do what you think is interesting. Your unique perspective and circumstances are what make your videos worthwhile for me to watch at least. Now I feel like I'm just saying things without really reaching a point... Anyway, keep up the good work! Maybe I'll see you on the trails someday!

    Jeff, I love your videos. Have you ever thought of doing more tutorial type content on things like turning (flat turns vs banked or off camber) and jumping/bunny hopping/manual-ing? "It's been done before," I know, but for those of us always trying to improve they could be beneficial.
    Ever tried an anti-fog coating (like for a windshield or goggles) on the go pro lens for humid days?
    Regardless, your content is great and your riding even better. Keep it up, Bed Head.

    Your more casual not so pinned rides are actually smoother and easier to watch for us average riders. Rather than having things zip past so quickly, we get to see more of the trails and how you ride them. If you want, just add in more manuals and nose manuals would spice things up.

    Another Kracking video Jeff.. Do find that you tire out quicker than most due to how active you are on the bike? I used to be nicknamed the “Hyperactive Grasshopper” as im always hopping and popping along the trails.. Guys I ride with see a rocky single track ahead yet I see multiple doubles launching from rocks to tree root landers etc.. I see you doing the same often, there are mini gaps everywhere and definitely mixes up the trail enjoyment for sure...
