Dude - your guide, guided you well. Next lap hit Full Dad Bod, Spacewolf, Irish Death, and Radical Dragon for more Bangers!
He crushed the route! Cougar Ridge and Devilcross were so sick. I've done Dad Bod once (demoing the relay in such horrid conditions) and it was probably my fav trail that day. Gotta try the others next time I'm there!
"If these trails are in your back yard-" meanwhile here i am at my house at the base of galby, fun to see most of my favorites (at least sactioned ones) make it into the vid
That's sick! Galbraith seems like such an awesome spot to have as your backyard. Plenty of after work laps. I've heard from friends that the unsanctioned stuff is so gnarly there. It would be tough for me to ride it and not want to post haha
Big shoutout to your riding buddy, he's got great bike-body separation and riding style!
He's an awesome rider! Check out his channel, makes some great POV as well. His video of "The Horn" is what made me ride that trail
No question better than mid tier after just that first trail Cougar Ridge.
Cougar ridge was so sick. Definitely a top 10 of 2024 so far
Man what a fun rip! That’s the lap for sure. 🤙
Such a sick lap, thanks again for being the guide!
Great JOB! on that rock roll on EL diablo WOW!!! Scary dude that was sick. Lots of elevation and miles for one day id be wiped out... and of course he knows those trails well so that puts you at a disadvantage as well more effort not knowing whats the right line choice. Impressive riding enjoyed the video motivation for me to go do Cougar Ridge!
Thanks man! Yeah I was pretty tired haha even on the ebike. Cougar Ridge was my favorite trail of the day! Devilcross followed behind, but yeah if you're in the area then cougar ridge was so much fun. Be ready to pedal though haha
looks fun!
Top day for sure!
Nice vid! Were you able to do all of that ride on one battery still?
Sure did! I got a 635 watt battery and had barely anything remaining at the end. Most of the day was climbed in eco mode too
@@MTB_Corbin sweet! I love your videos, as I’m keen on grabbing an e-bike this year, and I’d like to make it out of Minnesota and over to WA for some riding soon. We hear a lot about Galby and Tiger but it’s nice to know there are a ton of great riding spots like North Slope and Port Angeles.
What e-bike are you looking at?? Yeah WA has soo much solid riding out here. There's something for everyone and every level. Tiger and North Slope are probably my favorite trail systems as a whole
@@MTB_Corbin I can’t talk about the bike, exactly, because it’s currently under embargo at my work. But it should be out this year, and I’d love to start making some ride videos with it, haha.
I see some nice bar turns in there! Sick!
Thanks! I’m making some progress getting more comfy in the air 👍🏼
niceeeee, so fun@@MTB_Corbin
looks amazing man.
10/10 day!
Just curious… you are both riding E-Bikes yet everything at Galby (and cougar ridge), in fact all of Bham as far as I can see, is listed as No E-Bike… how does that work !?? I have both but definitely use the E 90% of the time and would love to ride there!…
Yeah good question! Trailforks shows Galbraith doesn’t allow e-bikes; however, The research I did before (GTF and WMBC website) said that the city nor GTF are enforcing eMTB use on the mountain but is monitoring for any “negligent use or potential conflicts.” That being said, LoamerMTB is more the local up there and he had us stick to all access road climbing when able. I saw several other eMTBs on the ride out there, plus when I demoed the transition relay e-bike several months back, transitions outpost told me to ride it at Galbraith… so I’m not sure if Trailforks is accurate but the culture seems to be it’s okay as long as you’re not being a jerk and/or doofus
@@MTB_Corbin Thanks for the reply. I guess things are "changing" which is great as long as we don't get to many "jerks/doofus's" out there messing it up for the other 99%. I have managed some trails and always was on top of updating trail info but have found that in some cases admins just seem to be waaaayy behind or just don't bother so information is often inaccurate which is super frustrating when I want to visit an area and check things out. Certainly don't want to take my e-bike and be part of that 1% or potentially get fined or!?! Funny you mentioned the TR Relay, that's my e-ride and it is phenomenal. Anyways, Thanks again for the reply and I have enjoyed watching you bumble down some PNW trails ;) Cheers.
Cool video. Is it me, but coming in to the big drop on El Diablo, your fork looks a little packed? Like it's not rebounding very much, and you've used a lot of travel? Not sure if that contributed to anything. Cheers.
It might have... I'm not that tuned to what my suspension settings are honestly but I do know that I want to add one token of volume spacers when I get a chance. Helps prevent harsh bottom outs when I know the air pressure feels good on all the other stuff.
I need to try those trails!!! Give me Tiger any day of the week though!!!
Yeah we'll have to do some of these next time we're up there!
Dude! entertaining & sick vid! Yea man, LoamerMTB is an epic ride partner and coach! Really stoked on this one, Nice work!
Thanks man! Yeah Loamer is solid, it's a fun game to try and stay on his wheel haha
I live 15 min from raging river, 20 from tiger, so........I don't love Galbraith, but now I wanna try North Slope!
I'm biased but North Slope is the best haha
I want to go to gailbraith but im not in good enough shape to hit all the trails I want
You could rent an ebike at Transition's Outpost... That's what I did my first time. But the system is so big that I'd definitely recommend having a planned route.
Galbraith is cool for low angle flow trails and jumps imo. If you like steep tech there is way better stuff in the area. More common of an opinion than you might think too.
Yeah I’m more in the steeper tech trails than low angle flow… what’s your favorite tech trail in that area? (That’s sanctioned lol)
@@MTB_Corbin Man I think the only sanctioned stuff out here is Blanchard? Alger is my fav, none sanctioned though. Love me some galby flow and jumps too though 🤙
I've been on Blanchard twice and both times were so sick. Yeah man if flow and jumps are the play then Galby seems like such an awesome place
how about all the big vert stuff in cascades?
Def check out alger if you're gonna drive up here
But there’s less dookie in the BHam streets and less traffic. (And the trails are still better)
Traffic southbound from Tiger and Raging can get SO bad going through Seattle and Tacoma
I’ve never ridden Galbraith. I just view it as a big theme park like Duthie. I don’t mind these locations. However I’m more into locations on DNR lands (and Tokul too!)
I hear you there. DNR land has got some amazing trail systems
I live in the area, ride Galby often and have ridden Duthie - they are nothing alike! 😎
Galby is nothing like duthie, dubie is small short jump laps, galbraith has a bit of everything
Agreed, Galbraith/Bellingham definitely isn't worth the travel time from the Seattle area. Plus the locals can be dicks that hate on ebikes.
The travel time is the roughest part for me, especially if you're trying to do it on the weekdays
Well then stay out of my backyard.......literally. Where else can you find this many trails for this many people in such a small area = nowhere.
That's awesome Galbraith is your backyard! It's roughly 3 hours of a drive for me which makes it not as worth it compared to some of the closer trail systems. Still really high quality trails though! Cougar Ridge was super fun
Yeah, Don't come here. Galbraith sucks.
