Hi Marco! We absolutely loved Kampot! We stayed at Mama’s Guesthouse and they were super helpful and kind, not far from the town and great price too! Check out our Tik Tok in description we did a few day trips through Mama’s and they were amazing! 💙

Hi guys, congrats for having done that. May I ask which where those documents that you had printed out? I thought that the only thing that's needed is the negative test but as you did that test at the border I'm wondering what else was needed
Hi Juergen, thanks for the comment! we had to print out our visa, vaccination jabs and insurance, they checked everything thoroughly too 👍

@@aaroncov thx Aaron. Sounds like you know the area well. I have been around for about 35 years but never made it to Kep. I want to give it a good look. Buy a motorbike and explore the life there.
@@alohadan3511 Kampot and Kep are great. Yea, no problem taking a motorbike from Vietnam to Cambodia . I lived in Can Tho for 3,5 years. Cambodia is much less busy than VN.

thanks for video. do yo know please in Cambodia tourist visa extension if "expiry date: 2 August" does it mean 2 August (being day 60th since enter in that case) is still a full valid day to leave no overstay issues ?

Thank you. I forgot about the evisa. I was trying to get a VOA for Vietnam, but it's not up and running yet. Instead, I got air tickets for Cambodia. I didn't realize Kampot was so close to Vietnam (I was there in 2018). Now, I can spend some time in the Mekong Delta. How is Phu Quoc? Do you think returning to Cambodia the same way will be easy too? Thanks again for your useful information. Ken (USA)
@@kennethmockler449 Phu Quoc was amazing, great little island for a few relaxing days! Vinpearl safari was amazing too! & there are some lovely beaches! I have read online you can cross the border into Cambodia from VN so don’t see it being an issue but ofcourse we cannot speak from experience, it’s worth the risk though to save you money on flights! ✌️

Do you know if the border is open on the Vietnam side to go to Cambodia from the ha tien border? We can’t see much online? We want to do visa on arrival and know people that have gone from Cambodia to Vietnam through this border but nobody from Vietnam to Cambodia? Thank you
Hi, yes we have been told by a few people now you can go from VN to Cambodia through the Ha Tien Border & you can do visa on arrival too just be careful as we have been told people have had to pay all different prices for their visas due to scams! Let us know how you get on

Hello! We applied for our visa online about a week before we left. I believe visa on arrival isn’t available for the 30 day visa!
Thanks for this information! We’re planning on doing this in 2 days. Vietnam provides a Covid test at the boarder? We were going to get tested prior but it would cost much more than what you said in the video.
You’re welcome! Yeah they provide it at the border but only land border. If you’re flying you need to have a certificate showing a negative rapid antigen test or PCR!
My family is going through the same border crossing. Do you have any recommendation for the process? If we could avoid walking back and froth between the two gates that would be lovely! Thanks in advance
@@philipyoder6916 Hi, sorry not sure it can be avoided as you need permission from Vietnam before Cambodia stamp your passport so they make you walk there and back, it’s probably a 5 minute walk ish

@ Hi Nicolas, thank you for your comment! We got into Vietnam at 4:36 on the video and there were a few taxi men with mopeds, they just ordered us a taxi 🚖 hope this helps! ☺️ also, Ha Tien doesn’t have Grab unfortunately.

If you’re looking for a taxi you could put your locations in Grab and see if you could get a price on there or ask your hotel if they could book you a taxi instead, for a cheaper option check 12 go asia, Baolau and sky scanner for buses, minivans, ferry’s and flights. Wonderful Video, planning to do this kind of travel soon. Question, do i really need to purchase the covid health insurance? Because i heard a lot that this has been removed?
Thank you, that means a lot😊 when we travelled to Thailand in January we needed £50,000 covid cover as that was the rules at the time. I believe Vietnam required £10,000 worth of cover when we crossed the border. However things change frequently so this could be different now. I would advise to check the latest requirements on the government website!

Hey! The rules change a lot so your best to just do a quick Google search to find the latest info but I think it’s the same for vaccinated & unvaccinated. But just double check first 🤞
