    China is able to build a border fence through difficult terrain and nobody is complaining about difficulties and expences. The terrain beetween Mexico ans US is less difficult and US is much richer than China. May be you should ask the Chinese to do the job for you.

    It seems very relaxed, meaning not enforced. More like a trust to not pass? Is the wall/fence across entire border?

      Until recently, there was no wall/fence along the border for the most part. And local people from both sides have the right to cross the border without visa (only a pass document) but they cannot go deep into the other country. Now, China want to prevent smuggling and are building a fence, so local people still can cross the border but only at designated gates.

      They can speak each other's languages along the border, in their own language

    • @macnaichachacha
      @macnaichachacha ปีที่แล้ว

      Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups, each with different languages and cultures, but the " Kinh" ethnic group is the majority and the language is Vietnamese. When Vietnam and China divided the border, they divided the ethnic minorities living on this border. So they don't communicate in Chinese or Vietnamese, they communicate in their own language

    Amazing footage but I do not understand. Is the border wall there to keep people from crossing the border from either side or is it just to mark the border itself. My understanding is there are numerous routes to pass back and forth between Vietnam and China freely with only a few checkpoints to govern the passages in some areas an no checkpoints in other areas. The Vietnamese and China have a long history of containment and even aggression against each other. Is the border now more permissive and passages of people more freely tolerated?

    • @vietnamvillage5791

      border lines to prevent smuggling and to mark territory too, I know there are many sections that can still be freely moved without ever building

      Thank you. I didn’t think of the smuggling factor though I should have as that is a very acute problem on our own southern border here in the US.
