I can put chords to any song in Sri Lanka, just by ear without even listening to the song. But with Rookantha's songs its a complete different story. I can only find few chords. In the middle he has these crazy chords I don't know from where. I listened to them thousand times, and still failed. your music was way advanced for 1980's and today. Miyuru Rangana he never used any unusual chords ,it's the amount of music we know , he always used major 9ths,11ths,13ths and diminished sevenths and flatted 9ths in most of his songs , the problem is that none of the main stream sri lankan musicians has not properly studied music , and yes indeed because we dindt get to hear them from any other artist except rookantha ,these days the band daddy does a good job on making rich music with beautiful chord progressions , and that is pure western good music ,we should appreciate their music as well ,they will be the ones to pass the music which rookantha originated here to the next generation , Rookantha was the saviour of sri lankan music ❤
