    If you are looking for a board with the ability to carry a large amount of weight or with a super stable platform for heavier or not so light-footed paddlers, then the Blackfin Model X could be the board you're looking for.
    At 10'6" x 35 it offers a very stable platform but still comes in at a very compact all round length, under 11 foot. Whether it be for SUP fishing or for just basic entry-level all-round paddling the Model X is a super-stable and stiff board. In this video we highlight who the Blackfin Model X will best suit and the pros and cons to this wider based board.

    Great review, thanks for creating team, always love your content and production style. I actually took the plunge and purchased my first SUP BF model X back in 2019. It’s been amazing and defo the Swiss Army knife of boards, The quality and design is first class and really pleased with it. Top tip I bought mine in Nov and got a crazy deal with kayak seat, electric pump, dual paddle attachment all thrown in for £695!! Buy out of season for a great deal!! Also anyone buying a board for first time get an electric pump/game changer if you can park near the water.

      @@KateMcDee The Blackfin is more stable, maybe best for a first board? The iRocker is a little faster. Glad I learned a bit on the wife’s Blackfin before getting my own iRocker. Enjoy!

    Wife has the X I went with bluefin Carbon and honestly both are very comparable major difference is the width but quality and the overall construction of them are very similar with the carbon rails on both . I feel I won out not only price wise but with the accessories that I got with mine pumps are made by the same company..

    I am 6ft 220 which blacking should I get the x or the xl don't care about speed using it for exercise and lakes and slow river rides

      You could easily choose the Blackfin XL and be happy with your purchase. If you are concerned about stability, go for the Blackfin X as it has that extra bit of width to help you. Hope this helps. Beau

    I've had this board for a year now and it eats everything you throw at it. The only downside for me is the weight. It is really heavy. A great, great board though.

    Hello! Which Blackfin iSUP would you guys recommend for open ocean touring for a beginner? Thanks!

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Roberto. It really depends on your overall body weight? But you definitely want to keep a board with a bit of length really so something like that model V would work really well in a lot of different water conditions. This would take riders up to 110 kg without too much of a problem. Thanks Reuben

    I loved the Model X until the recall. Now Im waiting 6+ months for replacement boards. Very low marks for customer service.

      Hi Todd,
      Sorry to hear about your experience. Quite a few brands have recalled boards last year and has affected a lot of paddlers. Let's hope you can get back out on the water soon. Beau

      @@SUPboardermag Thanks Beau for your reply. Unfortunately I am still greatly disappointed due to the very slow replacement turn around. I paid for two boards over a year ago, used them three weeks last August then was ordered to destroy both boards and wait. Next week we are leaving for Mexico with no boards and thousands missing from our bank account. Not happy seeing all of the Christmas adds for your boards while we sit and wait for ours.

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  ปีที่แล้ว

      Again, we are really disappointed to hear about your experience. I can understand your frustration. Blackfin and other brands need to be better with their customer service. We will take note of this when speaking about Blackfin to our viewers in the future to make sure their downfalls are known. Just a note, we don't sell or make boards here at SUPboarder, just test and review SUP brands to bring you the best information. Have a great holiday in Mexico. Thanks, Beau

      Hi Todd, just an update for you. We are reaching out to Blackfin to ask why the replacement boards from the recall has taken so long and why they aren't taking care of their customers. I know it won't help your situation, but we will keep you updated with their response. Beau

      @@SUPboardermag Beau, I didn't mean " your boards " statement above. I meant Blackfin boards.
      I appreciate your assistance in finding some answers? All of my attempts have failed. Right now Im really regretting purchasing Blackfin over Hala.

    )) It's hard to find a heavier board on a market still. Blackfin is a SUV SUP. Yes, it has literally everything for an acceptable price, but ... I don't know.. Few years can pass by until someone will need kayaking, or fishing, or touring, or laguning, but all these years he/she will be forced to use a same board. That's ... boring?

    Which paddle board would you recommend for a petite woman (5'1" 115 pound) to be used on lakes mainly and would love to be able to do yoga on it 😁

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably a board that doesn't weigh too much and is not that thick ether. The Aqua Marina Coral could be a good board www.supboardermag.com/2020/09/15/2021-aqua-marina-isup-range-overview-review-video/ its 31" wide so should give you a nice amount of stability but also easy to paddle. Going wider will offer you better stability for Yoga but much slower to paddle. Hope that helps? thanks Reuben

    So … all over Facebook … are people buying irocker and black Finn boards !!!! Inflating them properly and they explode and hooks rip off after 2-3 uses ???????? 😧😧😧😧😧😧😧

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like some issues going on there. From our view, we have had well made boards from these brands and people are still purchasing them. Of course, we only use them for a limited time from new so the issues may not show up in our reviews.
